Speaker 1:

Hey everyone, happy Friday morning. I am sitting here it is Thursday, like so just the day before, looking at my to-do list for the week, and realize that I had not scheduled or I had not recorded this. And I gotta be honest, like I have had no, no great revelations, like and I think that's because it's actually been raining here most of the week, which is glorious because we have been in what's called an exceptional drought and I haven't been walking. So I thought what I would do is just give you a little behind the scenes on what is going on with my new book, your Core Strength. As you know, this is a book written for young women. My target market is high school freshman and sophomores. However, it will very easily go a couple grades up, probably one to maybe two down, and part of my plan is hopefully to market it into the college or to the collegian space. So we will see. We will see if that goes. But I wanted to kind of just let you know a few of the other things that will be accompanying that, in case you happen to be in conversations with people, so that way you know what else is coming. So, in addition to the book, I have been working on the back end for with a for excuse me, I have been working on the back end on a few things. One of those is a parents guide, so that will be available to anyone who is like, okay, what's my kid reading? I want to be prepared and just is. I call it a cliff notes and I say, don't worry, your parents will know what that is, because I don't think that these girls know what cliff notes is. They have the internet. Who needs cliff notes? Another thing that I am working on is a discussion guide, so this will be probably just a free download that they can do, because one of the things that I focus on in here is relationships and encouraging them to work on establishing relationships with others. You and I know how important that is, but they have different kinds of relationships because they're so, they're online and you know they're also at the age where it's harder to trust, and so, anyway, I'm I've created that. I am prayerfully considering doing a study. What that looks like, I'm not really sure. Part of me would like to do a video based study. That could be like envision something on right now media, which, if you are familiar with right now media, think of Netflix for Bible studies and I don't really know what it's like to get on there. My guess is I might have a difficult time because I'm self-published and that's just the reality of one of the drawbacks of self-publishing. But I might be able to get on there. We'll see. But I am hoping to be able to create some sort of Bible study as a complement or as a support for youth groups and youth directors or even small groups. I have friends who have high school daughters and they say I'm always looking for something to do with my girls. So that will probably be around an eight-week study. I've kind of loosely mapped that out with this wonderful woman who has been kind of coaching and consulting me through this. Let's see. Oh, the other thing I'm going to do is make a limited run this is all God willing, by the way Make a limited run podcast just for them, called Lessons to my Teenage Self. So I will be doing both solo episodes and shorter interviews with either young women or young professionals who have skill sets that are out of my scope of practice but might be able to speak into them and to help educate them. I would love to introduce this generation to just the benefits of podcasting. Of course, this will also go on YouTube, so that will be there as well. But I am a changed person because of podcasting, not only because I am a host, but also just from learning. It's been such a great opportunity to learn and I want them to be able to have that as well and see the benefit of it. So Lessons to my Teenage Self will again, god willing, debut probably at the beginning of the year. It will also just be another arm of marketing for me, because anyone can listen to that, and so that way I haven't quite strategized with all of that. And then I am. I've been saying I'm going to do this for your worthy body, so we'll see, but I would really like to do a devotional and submit that to the Bible app, the Eversion Bible app. In fact, I need to do one for your worthy body as well, and I don't know why I have such a hard time doing that. So, anyway, those are the. If I sound like I keep looking away, it's because I am. I have a whiteboard with a funnel of, like the reach of people and how to do all of that. So those are all of the things that I am working on for the girls and, of course, I am still focused on you guys in all the ways that I have been, and if you are not following me on Instagram, go over there and check that out. So I am in a self-imposed challenge. I'm doing this with one of the girls in my creative mastermind and, excuse me, the challenge to myself this month is to create, to do one real every day. That's like, not podcast related. So I'm finishing out the week with that and we'll see if I can do this for three more weeks, but I do have a really great program that has helped me edit that, because I cannot figure out how to make a real in Instagram Like organically. I just I can't, I can't, I can't. It's what's wrong with me, I don't know, but you know what. I have figured out other things, so I've just figured out to do a different way. So, anyway, that is the latest on your core strength, and I would love if you have any other ideas or suggestions. Don't forget we have a our next meetup on October 19th and at 6 30 pm Central, where we can get together, and I was thinking that I had something that I wanted to pick your brain on and at the moment I can't think, but I'll remember it. By then I've got two weeks. Have a great weekend, you guys, bye, bye.
