493. Your Podcast Is Growing, You’re Just Not Measuring It Right
Your podcast might be growing more than you realize, but the way you’re measuring it could be hiding the progress. Today’s conversation explores how looking beyond downloads can reveal the real momentum happening behind the scenes. From small workflow improvements and new tools to better planning and stronger content, this episode highlights the subtle wins that often go unnoticed. You’ll hear how creators are rethinking success through audience interaction, consistency, and personal growth, and how those shifts can build a stronger foundation over time. We wrap up the week by sharing wins, reflecting on progress, and recognizing that sometimes the most important growth is the kind you don’t immediately see.

20 Good morning again Podcasting Morning Chat, Thanks so much for being here. I am your host Mark Ronick and currently on stage with me my Co hosts Dr. Faye, Ralphie Step, Jonathan Howard, Alex Baelish, Sid Meadows and Nick Nolbach. Go check out more about them at Podcasting Morning chat.com/people. And before we get into this discussion today, I first want to remind you, well, listen. Are you looking for a free podcast gear? Then you may want to listen up because you could win Ralph E Steps Roadcaster Duo, plus a free monetization strategy session designed to help you make smarter moves with your show. And as I keep telling you, I think the duo is a fine piece of gear because it does help you sound polished, works really well with all the multiple things you need to plug in to play and and hear with your audience. It it's let's see, it gives you hands on control over your live production all in Ralph, please, just for a moment, share a little bit more about that monetization strategy session I was referring to.
37 Oh, absolutely. Good morning, everybody. Yes, what I'll do with you. I'll sit down one-on-one. We'll take a look at your content and I'll help you build a monetization or what I'll call a money plan for your content so you can start seeing some financial rewards to all the hard work you're putting into it that's included with the duo giveaway. So I look forward to working with somebody to help them do just. That Thank you, Ralph. Yeah. So, all right, so listen, here's how you do it. All you got to do is it's totally free to play along. All you've got to do is go to podcastingmorningchat.com slash duo and enter to for your chance to win Ralph's Roadcaster duo. It's only like 9 months old, so it's pretty new and you can also go in there to that link and sign up for multiple entries to increase your chances. There's even a way you can do that every single day and we give you multiple ways to get multiple entries. So go check that out, increase your odds and see if you'll have your opportunity to win the road caster duo. OK, and let's see, do I have anything else for you for housekeeping?
46 Yes, I do. One more thing, it's official. I'm going to change the name of the show from podcasting morning chat to podcasting morning show. I know, big change, right? But any change can be a big change. I was very close to doing the Good morning podcasters instead. I think that's what I'll do is I'm going to still adopt that in one way when I do my intro, instead of saying good morning podcasting, morning show, I'm just going to say good morning podcasters. So there we are. So it's official. The name will change. I will let you know once it really is official because obviously we have a little work to do in the, but behind the scenes we got to, you know, change URLs, redirect URLs, etcetera, so that all the old links still work and the new link works moving forward. I think my words are having a hard time this morning. Dr. you can probably appreciate that words in the morning. OK, cool.
41 So let's keep things moving. And look, we are going to do wins from the week like we normally do on a Friday. But before we get into that, I want to try something a little different today. This is thanks to Ralphie suggested this actually last night. It's just another way to look at how we do our Fridays, right? So I want to ask you something. I want to, I want to actually, I want you to sit with this one for a second. Does your podcast feel like it's growing right now, or does it feel like you're putting in the work and just not seeing it yet? Here's what I think is actually going on for all of us. That was a rhetorical question, by the way. We are growing. We're just not recognizing it yet. The winds are there, they're just invisible. So let's find some of them before we do the winds from the week.
26 What's something about your show that's better today than it was 30 days ago? Maybe it's a new tool that you picked up that's made you better, or a new process that you've been trying out. Maybe somebody shared a tip recently that changed how you do something in your production. And by the way, I know that there's a few people here that aren't actively podcasting right now, meaning they're not hosting their own shows, but they're maybe producing other shows. That's OK Think about something in your life or in that work that you're doing for others that's better today than it was 30 days ago. And by the way, if it's not actually 30 days ago and maybe a little bit more, that's OK.
09 You're not going to lose points for that. So let's open that up again. What's something that about your show or about you that's better today than it was 30 days ago? We're going to go to Dr. 1st. And by the way, let me just say good morning BC Babbles has joined us as well, so hopefully we'll hear from him too. But Dr. the floor is yours. Go for it. Well, OK, so as coming from the producers perspective, you know, I have talked about a program that I use many times on this show called Resound FM and I have complained that, you know, at any minute I think that I'm going to get an e-mail saying, and we're so sorry, but we are discontinuing because they haven't updated anything like in a year and a half to two years. But there have been in the past week, there has been a very subtle tiny little changes.
05 I mean so tiny that they haven't even warranted an e-mail to us like hey, we just updated. So, but it's much appreciated and I'm so happy that a little bit of attention is being thrown, you know, in to this program that I use and also I have, I know this is going to be a shocker. So everyone hold on to your hats. I have purchased something off of Appsumo. No. You're. Kidding. OK, So if our we maybe have some newer listeners, Dr. has an addiction and it is Appsumo and rightfully so because you can get a lot of great apps for a really good price. But Dr. is definitely our resident addict for Appsumo. Go ahead, Dr. Yeah, yeah.
52 Well, you know, the other day Ralph said he has gas, which is what gear. What is it? Yeah, what does the A stand for it, Ralph? That's a gear acquisition syndrome. Gear acquisition syndrome gas and I thought Oh no that means I have ass which is app sumo syndrome. So the new program is called new new for me flex clip. So hopefully it's going to help me do all the little shorts, the little vertical shorts that I do for some clients and I just, I haven't had time to dig into it. Let me ask you. So, yeah, let me ask you about that. So how is that going to improve things for you?
33 Like what? What is it about that app that's going to help you? Well, you know, they had it a long time ago and it was on there forever. And I kept passing it up, passing it up, passing it up. And when I finally went to say, OK, I'll go ahead and get it because I was watching it really closely, and boom, it disappeared and it came back and I swooped. What was the name again by the? Way. Flex Clip, FLEXCLIP and and of course, when they were gone for that part of the time, they have improved a lot with AI. And I just think that maybe the clips that I do might be a little bit more efficient, might look better.
14 That's what I'm hoping. For So is it like an opus clips. It is. Well, cool. All right, Flex clip. Cool. Well, cool. So we kind of got one that has one thing that has improved you over 30 days and one thing that you're hoping is going to improve for you over the next 30 days. Got it. Thank you, Dr. Appreciate that. Ralph, I know you want to share, but I just wanted to call out to everyone again, please think about this for a second. The past 30 days or so, what's something that you've been doing that has improved you, your podcast, your processes, etcetera. So keep that in mind. And by the way, big shout out to Jackie in the audience. Jackie is an old school community member that hasn't been able to make it here in a while. She's a busy mom, a busy working person. She's got a lot going on.
04 Her husband's running for Congress, so she's got a lot going on. And good to see you back, Jackie, thank you for coming and checking in this morning. All right, Ralph, the floor is yours. Well good morning again everybody. So what I did, I mentioned yesterday on the show that I am pretty much video 1st and I have been using a shotgun mic when I do all my recording and I just wasn't pleased with the audio quality. So I decided about 30 days ago, was actually about 3 weeks ago to go back to a mic. But I had to kick it up a notch because Ralph likes shiny stuff. So I went out and got the Heil Finn. If you check us out on the video, you can see the Heil Finn, but I'm really, really hay with the sound.
48 It's taken a little bit of time to get the sound levels where I want them. I've had to operate this mic a lot differently than your typical dynamic mic, but I really like it because I get closer to the audio. I think the sound is better and it looks very cool. So I can do two things. I'm still shooting video first, which is cool, but I get a little bit better audio sound. Not that the Shure SM7DB is a great mic, don't misunderstand me, but I just think this one looks cooler. If you've ever seen The Hunger Games, this is actually the microphone that they used when they announced at the beginning of The Hunger Games. Really. So they've got six different models. I've got the one that's a yeah, I've got one that's the shiny Chrome with the with it illuminates blue from the inside. So you got to come check it out and see us on video so you can see it.
35 But that's been the big change for me, and I've noticed that we haven't had to use the Scripts Studio sound as much. My team is not having to use that as much. Gotcha, gotcha. Yeah, it is a fine looking mic and I know that you've been struggling to get that sound just right and now that you have it all right, it looks good. It sounds good. And yeah, sometimes, sometimes something like that can just put a little extra pep in our step as well as podcasters. I appreciate your answer and did not know that about that mic, that it was part of The Hunger Games. And I mean, look, I will say this, I personally still think the Shure SM7B or DB, I still think it's a better mic. But look, you don't have to always have the best mic or a better mic if it's working for you, if you like how it looks on camera, if you're happy with the sound, that's all that matters in my opinion.
30 So, yeah, cool. Thank you for that share, Ralph. Appreciate it. And oh, he's pulling out now, the Shure SM7DB, so he has both on the ready in case he wants to. Switch. I still have this one. I have the ready if I need to go. That's right. Yep, very cool. All right. Anyone else? Or and if you don't, if no one else is going to play along, then I'm going to just switch the question. OK, cool. I'm glad Sid wants to play along with this one. Sid, what's something about you, your show that's better today than it was 30 days ago? Good morning, everyone. So I'm going to say the way that we're recording because we're now using ecam to record and I'm able to have a background and have scenes and change between me and the guests or multiple guests. And so it's working really well and really happy with the production and the way it looks.
20 We are not a we are AI am a audio first with a video component. But it this does improve the way the video looks and so it gives the video viewer a better experience with the show. So I'm really happy with that and really glad I learned a new skill. Yeah, very cool. Ralph has been pushing me to try out ECAMM and I've heard lots of good things about it, of course, from Billy and from others. So yeah, the hesitation is really just me getting used to change and having to learn something new. And actually, that leads me to my back. My next question for you, Sid. So are you using all of these templates, switching cameras, switching shots? Are you doing that all on the fly live? And is that feeling like a distraction or do you feel like that's been a pretty smooth transition for you? So great question.
11 I only have one camera, so I am changing scenes, but I am not changing camera these because I only have one camera and it is pretty easy because there are a lot of scenes. It's like me and the guest, me and then just the guest. And so for the most part, it's been relatively easy. My struggle is remembering to change the scene because the other day I was recording with somebody and I went, oh, damn, I didn't go straight just to her the whole time. And so I just have to remember to change the scenes. But their little panel makes it super easy to change the scene. So yeah, I mean when I. I feel like I lost Sid there at the very end you did. Because my headset dropped off.
54 Can you hear me now? Yes, yeah, I said. I joke and say that I am now a video producer, which I am not, but it's kind of fun to say. Yeah, and Nick just put in the chat too. I'd always forget to switch lol. And yeah, that's a real thing. I deal with that myself, even using Riverside, because Riverside also gives you different scenes you can choose from, and I like to keep changing those up, and sometimes I forget to do that. Ralph, you have something. Yeah, I just want to throw something out there for everybody that's interested. Buy a Stream Deck. That's a Stream Deck, because that Sid will solve that problem. I've got 1 sitting here in front of me. It's got 32 buttons on it. And if you're using Ecam, it's really cool because you can create scenes ahead of time and you can sit there and press the buttons and it'll change them from scene to scene. I find that to be a really useful tool. So I just wanted to throw that out there, Mark, because it is really, it's been and it's funny, my clients come in sometimes and say, what is that on your desk? Because I've got one on my desk from my accounting desk too. I have two separate places and they're like, I was like, that's a Stream Deck and they're well, how does that work? And I'm starting pushing buttons. Stuff's popping up on TV's and they're like, that is really cool.
02 Yeah, you can use the Stream Deck for a lot more, more than just seen changes in your, you know, Ecam or Riverside or whatever. It works with a lot of different things and it is a very cool device. I have one and need to plug it back in. I haven't been using it. Maybe that'll help me in this situation of switching. Yeah, thank you, Sid. Appreciate your answer. And by the way, we have somebody here Adam on is watching us live on YouTube. And Adam said AI tools have made it very helpful in my podcast. Yeah, that can AI tools, once you figure out which ones work best for you, those can save you a lot of time and improve a lot of your processes very quickly. Especially very appropriate for this question because it can make that big of a difference over the course of just 30 days or less.
52 So, yeah, I can appreciate that answer. Adam. Thank you for watching us here this morning on YouTube. And by the way, if you're curious how to watch us on YouTube, just go to podcastingmorningchat.com/join us and you can find all the ways to do that. And by the way, and Bez, Shawnee, Jen, Dub, Tim, Dave 'cause I don't think I called you guys out officially as when we started the show, well before we started the show, I called some of you out. But an official. Good morning to all of you here on Clubhouse listening live. OK. Does anyone else want to share? What's something about your show that's better today than it was 30 days ago?
33 Why is everybody being so shy? I think for me, I would say it's more of the planning process and that's been thanks in part to Ralph who's joined me as a Co executive producer and him really pushing me to work ahead of schedule to know what we're doing next week and maybe even beyond that. We've got our 30 day content calendar that I use. I'm currently using it just to be transparent. I'm currently using it more as a guide than the gospel, right? It's not that I'm saying I have to do this show next Thursday, but it is there for me so that if I don't have anything prepared or anything new that I want to cover, that was somewhat last minute, I know what I'm going to do that day.
18 And I think that just makes me an overall better host for it. So that's in an area for me that I would say is an improvement over the past 30 days. By the way, I also want to say if you are listening live and you have a question about your podcast, your processes, by all means put it in the chat. Or if you're here on Clubhouse, you can join us on the virtual stage. And if you're listening as a podcast podcaster or as a podcast listener, just send us your question. Podcasting Morning chat.com/contact, I believe. If not, just go to the main website and you'll see the contact button. Contact us, leave us a note and let us know your question and we'll bring it up on the show here.
58 All right, so here's the last thing I'll ask before we get into our overall wins from this past week. What's something you figured out on your own recently that you wish someone had told you about sooner? Something that maybe you were spinning your wheels trying to figure out how to improve this. And then somebody came to you and said, oh, what about this? How about this? I do this and you're like, mind blown. I know for me this isn't recently, but I'll give you an example. For me, this was a few years ago with my production process, keeping track of everything, all my clients where their episodes are in our production process.
39 I know that was a very tedious process for me, doing it all manually, including receiving episodes in every which way from my clients. Some clients would text me, here's the link to the recorded file that needs editing. I would have people e-mail me. I would have people send me DMS. It was hard to maintain. And then on top of that, then I had to hand that off to my team to go into the production process. And then I would have to kind of. Blindly sit back and just say, OK, I hope this gets done. And obviously that would mean I'd have to follow up a lot more with my editors to make sure things are on schedule. And then a friend of mine, Travis had, he also was in this line of work doing production for clients, for podcasters. He showed me his Trello board that he uses and that he maintains all of his different clients. And it works almost like an assembly line. There are columns for each stage of the production process and the best part was is that he showed me how to automate and how to centralized my client's work. So instead of DM ING and texting and emailing, there was one form.
54 Now that all my clients go to fill it out with all of the details that we need, including the files or links to the files. And when they hit submit, it automatically gets sent over to Trello and goes in that first line item, that first column, that first part of the assembly line so that we can then see it, do something with it, and start moving it down the production line. And that has changed the way that I do business and it's made it much more efficient. Sadly, we're going to be moving away from Trello here soon because we've got a brand new system we're using Go High Level, and we've basically recreated the Trello system within Go High Level. But yeah, so that would be something. That's a great example, I think of what I'm after here right now.
39 Something that you didn't know, you were spinning your wheels, just doing it because you thought that was the best way to do it. And then boom, something was introduced to you that really rocked your world for the better. Ralph, go for it. OK, I've got two things. Thing number one is I was watching someone else's show. They do a weekly live show and they talked about monetization on Facebook. And I had no idea that there was this little doohickey on there in my dashboard that I could Click to get monetized. And so a week ago I clicked the button and said go ahead and monetize. So now this is very cool when I didn't know this would happen is now I get paid by Facebook to put content up there and when people interact with it, I get paid some more. Now I'm going to be very candid with you. The payment so far wouldn't buy a cup of tea, but it's something.
28 So I wasn't aware of that and it was simply go to a particular thing, hit monetization and I did that and next thing you know, cha ching, cha ching, cha ching. So that's number one, number two thing, and I think we all can lean into this. I started looking for other ways to measure success besides downloads. And I really started to think about what else does that look like? And I started to think about, well, you know, it's also real watches, it's YouTube watches, it's interactions with people sending stuff to me. And when you start to think about, because it's real easy to feel discouraged when you look at that download number, you go, why aren't people downloading my content? Why aren't people doing this? And when I started to move away from that and look at other things, other matrices of how to measure that, I've actually got my team now building a spreadsheet where we're looking at the different interactions, the ways we see our brand out there.
20 That's really changed the dynamic of how I feel about what I'm doing. And I'm sure a lot of people feel. Sometimes it's like, you know, I feel like I'm speaking to this void, but you're not speaking to a void. And you've really got to look at where else your message is touching people. And that was really a big thing that I wish I had thought about Mark six months ago, a year ago, because it would have made me feel a little bit happier in my content creation. So I appreciate, let me share that because I think a lot of us can learn from that is it's not just your downloads. You are making an impact on people. You just might not even see it right now. The Bible, I'm going to wax a little prophetic here. The Bible talks about a lot of us just throw seeds out there and we never know where they're going to grow and when something's going to happen. And I just really embrace that.
04 And the season of my life is that I'm just casting seeds everywhere. And if this seed takes over here, this seed takes over here, I think there's a huge amount of value to your audience when that happens. Thank you, Ralph. Appreciate that little words of wisdom too. Yeah, I'm with you there. Thank you, Ralph. And by the way, I want to since I asked for questions from the audience, I'm going to pause here for a second because Adam over on YouTube just asked a question. He said, since you mentioned the contact page on your website, do you allow people to leave an audio message? I find that it makes it easier for some people to record a message rather than type. The answer is yes. The Podcasting morning chat does have that feature. If you go to podcastingmorningchat.com, at the bottom right hand side, there's a little microphone icon, circular blue icon, and if you click that, yeah, you can leave us a voice message.
58 That is a feature that Pod Page offers its users. And if you are interested in Pod Page, interested in that feature and some of the other awesome features, you can go to the link in the show notes here. That's my affiliate link. So if you sign up, I get a little, I get a little tiny kickback of that. So you're supporting me in that effort. So yeah, go check that link out and you can add that feature over there. And by the way, Pod Page, a proud partner of the Empowered Podcasting Conference coming up this August 2026, just had a conversation with Dave Jackson yesterday about that as we were preparing for the partnership. So go check them out.
40 They're a big support, by the way. I also want to remind you while we're chatting here that Monday is our Obsession Worthy podcast series. It's back. And so is Jonathan Howard leading that charge for us. It's a popular series that we do here every other Monday. Jonathan, will you share a little bit about the show we're going to dig into? Well, it's going to be about a dog in a trench coat telling kids to fight crime. So it's actually the name of the show is Decoder Decoder Ring and the episode is the Mcgruff Crime Dog episode 1. So we're going to be diving into that 1. So it's a part one or two. OK, cool. Well, I am I, you've got my attention. I'm very curious.
23 I know the Mcgruff character very well and I'm very curious to hear more about it. And also an easy to digest episode. In other words, I think you told me, Jonathan, it's like 1/2 hour long. Yeah, it's about 32 minutes I think. OK, cool. So the team will hopefully, fingers crossed, will listen to this 30 minute episode over the weekend and we will prepare some clips for everyone to hear on Monday so we can really give you some context and breakdown. What makes Decoder Ring such an obsession worthy show? Why are so many people so into a show like that? We will break that episode down and give our opinions as to why we think so. So come yes, go ahead.
06 Do we have an audit scheduled for next week or no? Yes, next Thursday it will also be the return of our obsession. I'm sorry, of our evaluation series and the one we're going to do. I know Ralph is going to throw you off because I picked a different one because the one we were planning on doing, I did not have a link for them. So I just made called it and said, all right, I'm going to do a different show 1st and come back to that one. Little behind the scenes for you. So salvage it says here in his words, it's about historic ocean events, ocean stories, real people and fatal decisions. So this should be interesting. And I listened to just a minute or two of it and it seems like it's a narrative style show and I love the guy's accent. I think he is.
58 I'm thinking he's either Scottish or England or Irish if I'm not mistaken. Probably Scottish. He said he's from the UK. That's all I know. I got the Braveheart vibes when I was listening to his voice, so I'm thinking it's Scottish. So anyway, look up Salvage. We'll put a link to the show that show as well. So we're giving our audience some more listening assignments, but I think you'll we'll enjoy both. So go check that out. OK. And with that, the really the better sound, not the whoosh, but the better sound. It's time for wins of the week or from the week I think is what they used there, our peanut gallery who chanted the wins from the week.
44 So this is where we share with one another, we celebrate with one another. Anything that went on this week that's worth celebrating to you, right? I don't want you to judge your win. I don't want you to think, oh man, Mark's win was so much better than mine. How can I follow that up? It doesn't matter. It's a big win in your world. That's all that counts. And we're happy to celebrate that with you, no matter how big or small you think that win is. OK, so I see people are already here lined up and people are jumping up on the clubhouse stage as well. So thank you all for diving right in. We're going to go to BC first. BC, good morning, we missed you yesterday. Please share a win from your week. So I got reached out to by a local developer. They're building a new complex here in Charlotte, but they also want to put in a podcasting studio as an amenity for their residents.
38 And he's got no background in podcasting. And after a presentation yesterday, he is super excited. Potentially going to have me come on with him to design the studio, help him develop it, and potentially be kind of an exclusive production consultant partner if all goes well and he gets the approval from his upper management. So that is my and this came from a random call too. This was not like I reached out. This was a random call. He was looking for help and this is what it's evolved into. So that's my random win of the week. That's awesome. What kind of facility is it? It is a luxury apartment complex and so he wants to add the studio as an amenity for his residence.
19 That is so cool. My daughter lives in an apartment building kind of similar to at least what I'm envisioning you you're describing. Although not I wouldn't necessarily call it luxury, but it's a nice place. But they have a sound studio in the apartment as well. But not really really. I wouldn't call it a podcast studio. I think it's more probably the intention was more for musicians, but which is perfect for her because she's a musician, but also a great space for podcasting because it's all soundproof. I mean, and it's Nashville of. Course. Well, there you go. That's why, yes. BC that is an awesome, awesome win. Thank you for sharing that. That is really exciting and please keep us posted. That's really cool. What do you think you're going to know more? Well, you know what?
01 Yesterday at the end of my presentation, he went ahead and asked me if he gave me like a certain budget range, if that would all work. So you've got to get upper management to get the OK on it. I'm hoping within the next week we hear from him because they have most of the building done, but they're really trying to finish up like the main lobby area and this Co working podcasting space. So I think it'll be coming up here soon. I love it. Congratulations. And by the way, I used to be a don't count your chickens before they hatch, and I've changed that mentality. I believe that there's such a thing as the power of positive thinking, and I believe in acting as if. And I think that when we do act as if when we do believe that thing is going to happen, I believe that puts that the proper energy out there into the world and instead you.
50 Know what? I agree. Yeah. It's time to invoke the power of the spirit of the secret. OK, let's do it. It's my Friday wedding. Good, good. I love it. Well, then I'll take that as a win myself, because if I just convinced you of that, that's something I'll celebrate. Yeah. I think it's important that we believe those things that we really want to come into existence in our lives. I believe that if you think the way you want it to go, the chances increase greatly. You know what? I believe a little bit of both. Like I grew up in the theater. I did a lot of musical theater and so a ton, a ton of auditions were in my life. And I never ever, ever told anyone in my family or my friends that I was auditioning for something. Because if I didn't get it, I hear my mother saying. Oh, why?
40 Why didn't you get it? Why didn't they like you? Come on, let's do it again. I mean, I could hear her, you know? So I never, ever, ever said anything. And in the background I was like, I got this, I got this, no problem. I got this. And so I acted as if, but I didn't say anything until it was. Yeah. And you know what I believe in also something my wife taught this to me, most beneficial outcome. And what do we mean by that? We mean that sometimes when we think we want something in our life or need something in our life, it may not actually be the best thing for us in that moment.
20 And maybe or maybe there is a most beneficial outcome that involves other people and this particular instance doesn't fit that bill, right? It's not benefiting, it's not the most beneficial outcome for myself or others, etcetera. So I just try to choose to think that maybe something else is out there that I meant to do instead of that thing that I thought I needed in my life. And look, it's not a perfect science. I'm a human being. Sometimes I get wrapped up in my own head at maybe more often than I'd like to admit, but those are the practices I work on to live a more positive life. Yes, Janae, did you want to chime in? You're absolutely right, Mark then and the mutual beneficial, most beneficial outcome is an excellent philosophy for sure. And sometimes we don't know what it is. And of course, good morning, everyone. Good morning.
14 And same thing happened to me last year. We were hoping to secure this podcast production for George Mason University, starting a new podcast that didn't go through. But what I did happen is that I had more time to work on Pod Glue, and now that's something that's a reality, which was a dream for four years. Yeah. Thank you, Janae. I appreciate what you're sharing there. Yeah, my wife and I say, MBO, that's what we just call it out, even if it hasn't happened yet, right? We'll say this is what we're hoping for, this is what we're manifesting. But MBO, that's what we say. OK, Thank you, gang. Let's keep things moving with wins from the week.
54 Ralph, I see your hand is up here on the Riverside screen. Go for it. So little bit of a celebration this week for an accountant. I have a weekly sermon show. I hit 10 million views on YouTube this week. That's accumulation since I started that. That show started last June, so we are at almost 350,000 subscribers. But to hit 10 million views was really humbling for me because I don't have any theological training. I'm not somebody that went to divinity school or anything like that. I just speak from the heart and things that I feel like are true and the way we battle some cultural things that I would say. But it was really a humbling thing to see that pop up and say 10 million times something has clicked on this. So thank you for letting me share that. Yeah, congratulations, Ralph.
41 That's pretty awesome. Yeah, 10 million views. Very cool. And Ralph has shared a little bit before about some of his strategies, how he's built that audience relatively quickly. And I wish I had that episode off the top of my head, but I will try to find it and put it in the show notes for you. It's I just broke my own rule, 'cause I hate referencing. I hate when podcasters reference episodes and then they don't link back to them. So I'm breaking my own rule. Janae, did you? Do you have something? You're off mic, Janae. Yeah, sorry. That's OK. The episode name was the Jesus is the Real King. That's what really kicked it off for Ralph. Wait, but that's not one of our episodes. I'm talking about one of our episodes. No, that's one of Ralph's episode on his.
22 But yes, you're right, you probably mentioned something. Yes, yeah, we did. Ralph, what's the name of that show, since we've got the episode title and if people want to go look it up. Yeah, it's called Truth Unveiled with Ralph. I would love to have you over there. Just take a listen. Thank you and thank you, Janae for at least giving us something where now our listeners can go and listen after I had a hard time coming up with whatever episode that was here on the PMC. OK, I let's see more wins from the week. Who would like to share? Let's or I'm just going to do it, Sid. Go for it. And then we're going to hear from Yvonne, Janaid and Sambaza who are on stage. Go ahead, Sid. Yeah, I'm going to say my win for the week is I started with the new coaching client this week and it was a really great kickoff session.
03 He's a young guy, just moved to a new city to start a new job and really excited to help him understand the world of office furniture and to be able to watch his career grow. I was just going to ask you what kind of specifically, I know you do a lot of coaching and business coaching that I didn't realize it was actually within your own industry. That's cool, very cool. Yeah, it's a it fails coaching, I guess is what I would call it. I'm helping him understand his role in a new market and how to grow the business and things of that nature. And honestly, 90 plus percent of my clients are from the office furniture industry. Very cool. Thank you. Congratulations to you Sid as well. And by the way, let's pause here and share Adam's wins here on YouTube. Adam says my wins this week is that I have made great connections, including a collaboration with someone over on Sub Stack.
56 Congratulations to you, Adam. Yeah, those collabs definitely feel like wins to me. Whenever I get a new collab there, it's always fun and exciting. At least so far in my experience, it's always been fun and exciting. And kudos. Congratulations to you, Sir. All right, let's check in with more of our community and go to Yvonne. Yvonne, good morning to you. Welcome back. Please share any wins with us. Good morning well, I'm hopping on a plane tomorrow morning to go to Santa Fe where I'm going to be there for a four day women's conference where I'll be the event photographer and on top of that, on the last day of the event I will be 1 of the speakers.
39 I'm doing an aha story and so I'm very excited about that. But even more so, I got a random text yesterday morning from a Co worker, a former Co worker and I had done she first of all, she reached out because my episode this week, she wanted to tell me how much she loved the episode this week was about a woman who published her first novel at 88. And then she said, hey, you know, I don't know if you remember taking this picture of my dog at this photo session we did 10 years ago. It's a family favorite. Well, her dog passed away, and she sent me a picture of a little, like, shrine that they had put together for her dog with my picture of her dog.
23 And so it was like she hit me on all the levels with just. It's why I do photography. It's like that's when things become precious to people. You know, that's happened to me when people have, you know, their dad's been sick or something. And, you know, it just is. Yeah. Crazy. Yeah, that is crazy. And sorry for your friend's loss. I know how hard that can be losing. Yeah, yeah. It was a real, it was such a fun session that I did with her and her husband when they became empty nesters. And I will say it was one of my favorite sessions ever. That picture of her dog, I was so thrilled with it. So anyway, yeah. And.
04 By the way, check out Yvonne's podcast, Late Bloomer living.com. Thank you. You're. Welcome. Congratulations, Yvonne and yeah, send our condolences to your friend as well. Janae, good morning again to you Sir. Please share any wins with us from your week. Good morning. It's been a pretty awesome week overall. My wife is travelling, but I got to spend more time with the kiddos. We went to the Lego store on Monday. Nice. Picked up some sets, some organization devices to store the hundreds of categories of Lego sets. So that was one win. Second win. Just yesterday I discovered a new open source project that's put out by Jojovic. Yes, the same Mila from The Fifth Element in Resident Evil. She's been working with a developer and they've built a memory system for AI agents.
56 Now, this memory system is better than anything that's out there and it's open source, so you can actually install it on your machine for your system so that a you can remember all the conversations that you've had over the years. So I've been playing with it and it's really fast how quickly it can go through transcripts and find stuff for you on what you talked about. So that was pretty awesome. Thank. You, you're welcome. Thank you, Janae. Congratulations to you as well. And yeah, getting a little bit of that family time with the boys going to the Lego store. I'm sure that's always worth celebrating a win like that. Congratulations to you, Janae and Yvonne. Did you have something?
39 No, you know what? I was just like, wow, Mila Jovovich go like it's just a spicy idea. Sorry, I didn't mean to do the spicy I need to say something thing. No. That's OK. Yes, worth acknowledging again too. Thank you, Yvonne. And all right, I'm going to go to some baza and then Jackie has joined us on stage. Really excited to hear that voice again. But first, I'm also excited to hear some baza. Go for it, some baza. Hey, thank you. Good morning, everyone and nice to be around this morning. Oh, Mark, she's not here today. She's run away. I made sure she's not in the kitchen with me today. That's a call back from the last time he shared, yes. Wins of the week.
20 We had two wins now I'll start with the first one, which is kind of minor. We actually are trying to get into sub stack. When I say we, Jen and I, so we had our first sub stack collaboration yesterday, playing around with sub stack to see how it is because of what I'm seeing sub stack is giving out there. So we're just learning sub stack. So we played around with sub with the show and did like a 20 minute thingy, but that was one of the great things. So learning as we go along as podcast. Now, the other thing that I'm happy about for this weekend, actually, we're going to say, I'm going to say we are proud of and was surprised was that a little while ago Jen got an e-mail from somebody and she said, oh, this guy from our town, Saint Louis, and he called in and he not calling, but he sent an e-mail and I'm going to move it forward. And So what happened was when we found out who he was, it was like, wow, this guy, he had been interviewed by Gayle King and others.
15 Now the story goes, he was somebody who was caught up in something, a crime, and the judge locked him up for 241 years and after that tried to get the guy out of jail, which he managed. But there's a whole story about him online. And he became an author. And we got to interview him on Thursday. And we had a great time with the show. Guy was very nice and very humble, but the one thing that I'm going to take out of this is that just because you are podcasting out there and you just a small podcast doesn't mean that people are not seeing you. People are listening to you and somebody somewhere would come out and say, hey, I want to do a podcast with you.
57 So that was what we celebrated yesterday. If you guys want to go catch on the show, you can either check it out on some other podcast or also check it out one walk by accident with Big Gen. as the shows are running on both locations. And thank you so much much for allowing me to speak. Yeah, thank you for that. And by the way, Yvonne, did you mean to come off a mic? OK, No, she didn't. OK, no problem. Simbaza, thank you for those. Also words of wisdom. You never really know who's listening. And that's why we encourage people keep going, keep going and stay consistent because, yeah, it feels lonely sometimes, but sometimes the biggest of names that you would never expect might be listening. That's what it's not all about.
42 But that's one one reason why we do this thing is to try to reach people and surprising sometimes who's actually listening. Thank you, Sambaza, thank you for sharing that. I have wins and I'm going to. I just wanted to say please stick around because I want to share a couple of wins that I'm excited to celebrate with you. But first, Jackie, welcome back to the stage. It's been a minute since I've said that and please share any wins with us. Good morning. Hello everybody. Oh my goodness, can you hear me? We can. OK, yeah. So when as obviously being here, Oh my God, it's been so long. I've been lifing life, life, life. Do want to get everything together. That old I got, Should I call it old? I don't know.
27 I thought of doing it because it's been over a year now. For a year later, I've just been so Dang busy with the kids and I know all the excuses, right? But full circle, I don't know if you guys remember a long time ago when I started podcasting, one of my goals was to become a public speaker. OK, now, thank you, husband. He's running for Congress, and when he meets with women's groups, guess who's introducing him? Guess who's talking about all of the things that he has done for me is a woman and his whole mental health side of things. So it comes true manifest, manifest. But yeah, just wanted to give you that quick update. My win. Absolutely hearing all your voices again.
08 I miss you guys so much. I hope you're all. Doing well, Great to have you here. Congratulations to you and your husband both for the way that all worked out specifically, but also for the fact that he has decided to run for Congress. That's no easy feat to do something like that. So kudos for doing that and so glad that you showed up here. Jackie, I know I commented on that post you put in our Facebook group and I encouraged you to come visit, and I'm glad you did and glad you shared today. Dr. Did you have something? I was going to share a win. Go for it, OK? But first, let me just say again, Jackie, thank you for coming and please come anytime you'd like to join. Please. So it doesn't matter that you're not podcasting right now. You're welcome to be a part of these conversations so. Interesting that he's running for office. That's so it came.
56 Out of the blue. For me it was crazy. Anyway. OK so my win stick with me gang. OK, so tomorrow my husband is having a contractor come in to redo my entire bathroom. We have separate bathrooms and This is why we've been together for 20 years. And I mean, it really needs it. But in all sincerity, I would really rather have a Ninja Creamy. It's a little ice cream maker that you can make your own ice cream. I'd really rather have it so. So you got that? I don't have. It I mean. My birthday's coming up in a couple months and so if it has to be something I can live with a crappy bathroom, but I really I can't live without this Ninja creamy. I really want this so bad.
46 All right, there you go. OK, can it make dairy free ice cream? Because as much as I love ice cream, it hurts me. Can yes it? Can OK cool cool awesome. Thank you DRI had something I wanted to ask you and now I forgot but Oh well there we go I'm sure it'll pop in my head after the show ends but congratulations to you Dr. on your win for me my wins. We've signed on more sponsors for empowered podcasting. So I mean, we are already way more successful for EPC three than we are than we were for EPC 2, especially at this point in time in the planning process. We have a commitment for a silver title sponsor. Some of you know Ralph and content creatorsaccountant.com is our gold title sponsor, the one and only in that category. But we have now somebody who's committed or a company who's committed to for a silver title sponsorship, we have strong interest from another company that wants to be a silver sponsor.
51 And then we have another commitment for a bronze title sponsor. And also someone from our EPC community has signed on for our creator partner sponsorship program. That's a program that we do specifically for people in our community here that we've created a, an affordable way to promote your podcast, your products, your services with US within our community. And if you're interested in that, let me know, Go to empoweredempoweredpodcasting.com and contact us there. Also. Let's see, I vibe coded for the first time yesterday. I'm finally got tired of hearing what everybody else is talking about.
34 They're making with Claude Code and I have always felt like I just don't know where to start what I even want to make. But so I just said, you know what, I'm just going to go in and I'm going to try to make some kind of video game. So and I wanted to make it really easy. So I told it to make the old original video game pong, but I told it to do it in a Star Wars theme. And so it and that was really all I told it. I said make a Pong game Star Wars themed just to see what it would do, and it did a pretty good job. It was definitely leaning more toward Pong than Star Wars, but it, you know, it had instead of just a black background, it looked like it was in space. But as I kept going, I kept getting ideas right, like I would play it and say it'd be cool if it did this. It would be cool if it did that.
23 And every time I got a new idea, I would just go in just like you would with say, ChatGPT or regular clawed. And I would just say, you know what, I want you to add this or I want you to get rid of that. And by the end of it, I have this really fun Star Wars theme ponged game. It has all the real sound effects from Star Wars. The paddles for each pong are actually lightsabers. The good guy lightsaber and the bad guy lightsaber, the ball is like a blaster ball, like you would see from the their guns that they'd shoot. It has some power up things like it is just the coolest thing and I can see how and why. It's very addictive. And I'm doing this so that I can start to just get my mind wandering and learn it so that I can learn more about how I can use this for more important things like my work. So, Mark, can I ask you a question about this? Yeah, the vibe coding.
15 I have also heard it all over. I didn't know what it was about. Is it like if I want to make a website a landing page I can make? What can I do with? It any of that? So is it going to replace ChatGPT? That's, well, I think it's AI mean ChatGPT has their own coding thing too. I just haven't tried it yet. I hear better things about Claude, but you know, it's really like a tool within the tool, right? Like I think at least as of now, we're going to still always have the the regular ChatGPT style thing where we ask it something, it gives us information, we ask it to write something, it writes us, it writes it for us.
56 But this is more where the AI is doing is building an app for you. And you can have it also do things like besides just making apps, making websites, you can have it work within your on your own computer and organize your files or run some kind of programming within your computer itself to help your processes and procedures, etcetera. Free is. It. Yeah, no, well, it's part of their $20.00 a month subscription. Got it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And Adam in the YouTube chat says check out Google AI Studio, you can prompt to make your apps and visually see it. Great tool. Yes, I've heard that too. And Claude Code does the same thing, Adam, I'm able to see the thing on, see the app that I make right there on the screen that I've built it on with Claude Code. So anyway, those are my wins.
47 I'm very excited about them. Also have a couple of great client calls as well with some newer clients. So it was a great week. I'm definitely celebrating this week and glad to celebrate it with you all. And thank you all for sharing your wins from this week. And a reminder, we're back on Monday breaking down our obsession worthy podcast of the week. We will do that. And of course, all week long, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM Eastern, we talk all things podcasting. And by the way, if you want to support this show, how can people do that, Ralph? Wonderful. They can go to podcastingmorningchat.com/support. Again, that's podcasting morning chat.com/support. We would love for you to reach out and support the show. Thank you, Ralph.
30 So until Monday, make it a great weekend. Everybody take care.
