September was about speed: getting around your dashboard faster, and getting your listeners to your episodes faster. Here's the rundown.

New Features

Find anything in your dashboard in a couple of keystrokes

One search box now covers your episodes, videos, guests, pages, features and settings.

No more remembering which menu a thing lives in. Open the search at the top of your dashboard navigation, start typing, and one click takes you straight to the right screen or editor. On a computer, press Cmd/Ctrl + K from anywhere in the dashboard.

Pages that load about twice as fast

We've made a round of behind-the-scenes improvements to how quickly Podpage sites load, and every site benefits automatically.

A typical page now loads about twice as fast, and the slowest page loads are around six times faster. Listeners get to your episodes sooner, and faster pages also help your site in search results.

There's nothing to turn on: these improvements are live on every plan.

Put your best guests first

Mark guests as Featured and they appear in their own section at the top of your public guest page.

Open Guests in your dashboard, switch to the new Featured tab, and drag guests into the order you want. Newly featured guests land at the top automatically, so your latest highlight is always the first thing visitors see.

Improvements

  • A fresher, cleaner dashboard. Refined forms, cards and navigation, consistent in light and dark mode, with better contrast on dark-mode forms.
  • A friendlier date and time picker for scheduling episodes, videos and blog posts, with the time always visible and a clear Done button.
  • Easier on phones and tablets. Scrollable dashboard tabs, simpler pagination, and a tidier episode editing header. Your site's hero image also fills the full width of the screen on mobile.
  • Custom instructions for the auto-blog writer. Add style notes, topics to avoid or facts to always get right in your assistant settings, and every post it generates follows them.
  • Guest emails link to the episode's companion blog post (up to three), so guests have an extra way to share the full writeup.
  • Preview draft blog posts. Click View on Website on a draft and see it exactly as it will look once published. Only you and your team can see it while signed in.
  • Twitter is now X across your dashboard and site. Your existing links carry over.
  • Optional two-factor login. Choose Two-Factor Authentication from your account menu and scan the code with an authenticator app like Google Authenticator, 1Password or Authy.

Built with the Elite Roadmap Council

Last month we held the first meeting of the Elite Roadmap Council. Every month, any Elite member can join our CEO live to give feedback and request what we build next. Dashboard search, custom instructions for the blog writer and easier pagination all came out of that first conversation.

On Elite? Click your name in the lower right of the dashboard, choose Elite Roadmap Council, and sign up for the next meeting. Not on Elite yet? See what Elite includes.

Every update we ship is collected on the Podpage changelog, and the newest ones appear on your dashboard home. You can also catch up on August's updates.
