Welcome to the Meditation Podcast. You can find other episodes on meditationpodcast.org. I have Amelia Atlantis-Wolf back because we were, in December we had a fantastic conversation and I went down a road I wasn't expecting, so I had still all of my notes and there was a load to discuss. Best-selling author, I'm not sure if it was 15 or 16 books, but incredible.
You have a recce and breathwork, a master, there's so many things you're doing. So, please welcome back to the show. Thank you for having me.
I'm so happy to be here. So, I suppose, I was going to read out the thing, but I think it's kind of better for you. Just give people a synopsis of kind of what you're doing so that they'll understand you a bit better.
So, I am an intuition teacher and what I do is I help people dream bigger dreams because getting people to their dream is easy. The hard part is at the beginning, getting people to know what they want. And to know what you want, you have to know yourself.
That's at Nothisitam, like the Temple of Apollo, know thyself. Because when you know yourself, no one can tell you who you are. No one can upset you.
No one can rock your boat. No one can take away your inner peace. And so I'm dedicated to helping people to dream, to believe that they can receive something big and fantastic.
And then I help get them there, which again, that's the easy part. So, I do that in a six-month program called the Intuition Academy. I do that in retreats around the world.
I'm doing an online version of the Intuition Academy to make it more affordable for people. And I do it with conferences. I'm bringing together women entrepreneurs over 50 and the people who support them in a live conference in Cleveland this coming October.
I wasn't recording at the start, but you actually told me something because maybe I mentioned it on my podcast. So, a few people, a few of the listeners are aware that I had the accident. So, I fractured my L1, my vertebrae and my pelvis.
And yeah, the doctors there, they were crap, to be honest. They didn't even touch me. They just put me into x-ray, MRI.
I had to make myself onto the bed itself after having that. But they didn't even, it was like just trying to get me out and they didn't even test me. So, no intention of going back, but I got the brace and I'm wearing the brace.
And I just kind of said six weeks and it's kind of six weeks now. And I was kind of going, oh, but you've actually, you've given me, you have to make me feel a lot better. You might just kind of explain what you said to me because there might be other people that have it or something like that might happen in the future.
You wouldn't know. Absolutely. So, as a disclaimer, I am a medical massage therapist.
I'm licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio and I have worked on over 3,500 people. So, in addition to being a civil engineer and an English major and environmental engineer, a master breathwork facilitator, an ordained shamanic minister, an usui reiki master, and a kinesio tape practitioner, and a 15 Amazon number one bestselling author, I also can, within a scope of practice. So, I just want, I want that little disclaimer that what I'm talking about is because I'm licensed by the medical board, not because I have an opinion.
So, it's important for people to understand that out of all the vertebrae that you have, you have these tiny ones in your neck and they're about the size, when you say okay, they're about that big. When you get down to your lumbar, they're massive. We call the five lumbar vertebrae your linebackers because they hold the weight of your body.
Every time you pick up your right leg, your vertebrae will hold your trunk so that it can come down and the other leg can come up. It's right where your torso twists into your legs. So, they're very important.
Now, your body prioritizes where the blood goes. You have about five liters of blood pumping out of your heart. Only three liters comes back in the veins, the blue guys that you can see.
Arteries are close to the bone. The blue guys are the veins bringing it back to the heart. They're right under the skin.
They are only coming back in three liters. So, there's two liters stuck interstitial fluid and it depends on you bending. Well, you can't bend a whole lot in between your vertebrae.
There's not a lot of circulation and your body will prioritize the circulation first to your brain. How do I stay safe? Think about primordial biology. I have to keep this body alive.
One, brain. What are we going to do? Analyze. Number two, we're going to run.
So, all the exoskeletal muscles, all the muscles that make your bones move, that's where the next amount of blood goes. And it goes down to organs and then it goes to your thymus right here. This is where your white blood cells are made.
You have seven white blood cells and they are slicing, dicing, and eating virus and bacteria in your body 24-7. Your body has seven white warriors that are keeping you safe. But that also means there's not a lot of blood left for the connective tissue.
So, where your vertebrae come together, there's a lot of connective tissue and it's like a strap. It's just meant to stay there. When that gets out of whack, it can be moved back into place.
But because there's not a lot of blood going there, there's not a lot of ability to bring out the diseased cells, the ones that got broken, and replace them with new cells. For example, your bones, when you have a bone bruise, your bones take seven years to rebuild. That's where all the minerals go.
So, after seven years, you have new bone. But it takes four to six months to get the blood into the connective tissue between something as big as your vertebrae. So, it's completely normal for it to take four to six months for a normal, healthy, active, well-adjusted, eating well, you know, somebody who's taking care of their body, four to six months to be pain-free.
That's normal. And what you said is what everybody does. They rest.
They take care of themselves. They hydrate. They'll eat good food, which means no flour, no sugar, bring that down, lighten the load on your body.
And then they say, oh, that's good enough. And they overdo it. They pick up something.
They will push their body too far. Again, that is not unusual. That's very normal.
I see that all the time. But then it takes you back. And so, the key is to know yourself back to that nothicetum.
Am I pain-free? No. Then I'm going to wait. I'm going to do what my body is telling me to do.
Please hold. Your body is basically saying, please hold. I'm repairing the most important tissue in your body that helps you move your whole torso pain-free.
But I need a little extra time. And so, you have to give it the extra time to heal. And most importantly, you have to picture yourself doing something that you love without pain.
If you love gardening, if you love taking long walks, while you're healing, you keep that in your mind. And you say, I'm so happy and grateful to be walking in the sun on this beautiful day. Your body will react to that.
It will imprint that message of health, and you will actually repair your cells faster. And that's what Dr. Joe Dispenza talks about. That's what the biology of belief Dr. Bruce Lipton talks about.
Your cells are listening to you. So, if you say, I can't believe I'm still sick. I can't believe.
Well, you just imprinted I'm still sick onto every tissue in your body. You have to imprint what you want. I'm so happy to be swimming in the ocean.
I'm so happy to be having a cup of coffee, looking outside. It's important to make that choice, to imprint that wish onto your cells so they can give it to you. I should record a positive one for myself and put it on repeat.
You could do that, and then do it all night. Just leave it on repeat at night. And I am is the most powerful statement.
So, I am so happy and grateful to be strong in my body. I'm so happy and grateful for what you want to be doing. So, not just breathwork, but chronic pain.
Because, unfortunately, there's so many people that are suffering. There's most people that are taking a tablet for something. Yeah.
And how you explain this to me now is fantastic. But a lot of it is the positivity that you put yourself through. Because at the start, I was.
I was extremely positive. And I was like, whoa, this could have been a lot worse. Because if I fractured it in three parts, that was close to a break, which we don't want.
But then, I think it was them setting me up for, oh, you'll be fine in six. So, I'm like, and I kind of knew it in week four. I don't think this is going to take six weeks.
I was like, yeah. But they imprinted an idea into you, and you believed it. So, we have to be careful because our subconscious is like the soil in the garden.
It's going to grow anything that we plant. So, for example, there's a tradition in Japan. If you're diagnosed, let's say that your grandmother is diagnosed with terminal cancer.
They tell the family, but they don't tell the patient. Because the patient is more likely to live a longer life if they don't know. If you say you have six months to live, they'll be dead in three months because they've given up.
So, it's important to understand that analysis that we do is the line between the conscious mind, what we're taking in, and the subconscious mind that has no ability to do anything but accept what we said. And you could do that for your business. So, if people say, I can't believe your program is $10,000.
My six-month program is $10,000. I can't believe that you're running this program when the economy is so bad. My first reaction is, not for me.
You don't let anybody tell you who you are, what your personal economy is, and what you're capable of. There's an infinite power flowing to you. You're a human being.
Infinite. Infinite power is flowing to you, and it's like sand. What are you going to build with it? Are you going to build a black castle? Are you going to build a white castle? Where do you want to live? And people say, yeah, but I'm in pain.
You can't deny that I'm in pain. And I love to say, after I let them talk, I never cut anybody else off because pain doesn't number on your disposition. You need to be witnessed.
You need to let people express their pain, which I do. But then I say, what else is true? So if you fell and you were in pain and you told me about it, I would make sure that the same amount of time that you told me about what happened to you, we talked about how I'm so happy and grateful that I survived. I'm so happy and grateful that I only had this injury.
I'm so happy and grateful I could stand up afterwards. You want to balance. You want to find that balance and live in that balance.
So you always ask yourself, what else is true? Because I'm not talking about the airy fairy. There's nothing bad that happens to me. No, life happens to all of us.
I've had incredibly challenging times in my life. But like the bubbles in champagne, I always rise through what is happening to me because I keep thinking, what else is true? Well, I still have a business I can fall back on. I still have my massage license.
I still have two healthy children. I still have my health. I still got out of bed this morning.
There's always a balance. And your focus determines your reality. So if you want to focus on, I feel better than I did this morning.
Your body will respond and a cascading bath of love goes to your whole body. And that's how you shift. We always talk about the shift and the transformation.
You shift by speaking your reality. And it's good to start with your own body because that's just about the only thing you can control. And self-control is what we're really talking about when you're devoted to, what does my body need? What am I going to do today with it? This is it.
This is a great place to start. So start with yourself. And, you know, you kind of touched on terminal cancer because I know some people when they're extremely old, it's a difficult situation.
But I mean, we're seeing even children and stuff like that. But I know somebody that what they did is they asked the person, do you want to live? And they did. And he was able to.
And sometimes the doctors go, oh, we don't know what happened. It just started shrinking and everything. And I think a lot of the time, like, you know, my thing is a lot different.
But I kind of was told something. I'm kind of stuck to that. But they're told, sorry, does not make and do.
And they just stick to that instead of kind of going, no, I'm not accepting that. And, yeah. You can reject anything.
You can reject any idea that someone gives you. If someone says you're too old to start a business, you can say that's not true to yourself. It just matters to you.
And I think a lot of the conditioning of looking for outside validation, you know, people put their picture on social media and then they get upset if people don't say, oh, you look so young or you look so happy or you look so perfect or whatever like that. You're looking for the outside validation instead of just looking in the mirror and saying, wow, I look amazing today. I look radiant.
I mean, if you don't talk to yourself in a happy and positive way, why should you count on the world to give that to you? That's just ridiculous because there's always a balance. Someone will think you're pretty. Someone will think they could care less about you.
But as far as the believing, you know, that is it's an important thing to check yourself. What do you believe in your heart? And then if someone says something, it's OK to reject it. You can say not for me or that's not true or no.
And and we know so much. And you're right. There's a lot of people.
Cancer is a big thing. Forty percent of the population, they say, will get cancer. But at the same time, there's been clinical trials about turkey tail mushrooms.
The number one way to prevent cancer is to take turkey tail tincture. There's hundreds of clinical trials. There's so much research.
The doctors aren't making money on this. So you don't hear about it. My mom died of cancer.
My life is devoted to cancer prevention and longevity. I want to live to see my children grow old. I want to live to see and take care of all the people around me.
I want to take care of myself so I can stay here. I'm having a good time. I'm just hitting my stride.
I don't want to go anywhere. I make my own turkey tail tincture. But until you look around and ask yourself, why are so many people getting cancer? And what can I do about it for me? What can I do to keep myself healthy? And ask your body.
Your body has all the answers. My body doesn't like flour and sugar. Everything works better.
I don't have any joint pain. Knock on wood. I'm 56.
I don't have any health issues. But I work really hard at not having health issues. You know what I mean? That's the key.
Are you willing to put in the work to be healthy? Most people spend more money on clothes, on their car, on their house, instead of figuring out what their body needs to stay healthy. And at the end of the day, all those things, everything you see around you, is going to last longer than you. We're the ones that are dying.
Everything you can see right now when you look around the room will be here after you die. So why accumulate more? Why not just find a way to enjoy the experience of living as long as you can? The thing is, unfortunately, when someone passes, most of the stuff goes into a skip. People have no interest in it.
You know, something that's precious to you, others are just like, yeah, that's not of interest to me. So that's something I'm trying to do, working on. Even with my books, you know, I started organizing all of my books, and I have a box at the door for anyone that wants to take books.
Books that I know I'll never read again. Whereas before, I was like, I never want to get rid of a book. But I go, I know I'd read this book a few times because I get something out of it.
But these, yeah, I enjoyed it, but I won't read it again. So why have it on a shelf to make it look, oh, look how many books I've got. And every time you move, you realize how much a pain it is to be moving when you have to lift a thousand books.
And this is such a great time for it. Right now, we are right at the end of the year of the snake, and we're moving into the year of the firehorse. And so the snake medicine is all about shed and ascend.
So you shed your skin. You shed the physical things that are keeping you down. And it's remarkable.
Like you said, I cleaned out my library, I cleaned out my basement, and it was the heaviness. I took eight bags out of my basement. I don't even think that there, I didn't think that there was.
It was only like three or four bins. It's crazy how heavy the things are that we carry throughout our life. I gave three boxes of books to the library for the library sale.
You'd never know it. My living room still has books, and I'm with you. As I read them, I'm giving them away, one at a time.
Just give it away, give it away. But people are talking about, oh, the firehorse and the momentum. Excuse me, but the firehorse is not going to pick you up if you have 800 pounds of excess baggage weighing you down.
The reason why the horse is here to carry us forward with momentum and give us some progress is because we've done the work to take off some of this physical trapping, some of the heaviness around us. And because you mentioned the snake and the horse, are these connected with the Chinese symbols? Because I'm 72, so the rat is the one that I am. Because you mentioned that it's kind of whatever symbol it's in is connected with everybody within now, because not just the year that you are.
No, no, no. If it was the year you were born. So if you were born in the year of the horse, this will be even more potent for you.
But what I think is interesting is February 17th is the Chinese New Year. So lots of cultures have different New Years. It's not the first of the year.
Sometimes it's the solstice, on the galactic calendar, the 13-moon calendar. It's July. It's the end of July.
The day's out of time. So it's what you make of it. But it does make sense to have it more on the cycles of the moon.
And it's about the new moon and the full moon and the cycles coming around. But it has nothing to do with the year you were born. We all have that year.
This is for the whole planet. We're all in this momentum. We're about to take off.
Things are about to go and expand at a rapid rate starting next Tuesday. And you'll make more progress if you've already done that work. Otherwise, there's a Native American saying that says, let go or be dragged.
You're going to feel dragged if you're a person who hasn't done their work, their inner work. If you're still angry at old relationships, if you're holding a grudge, if your heart is heavy, if you can't see the light, if you can't see anything positive, you're going to have a rough day of it. I've seen videos before and just trying to find it there.
You were drumming and whistling, but there's also talking about owls and things like that. So there's a few things that you're kind of in touch with nature. So you might touch on that because I was watching a few things and I just kind of go, that's interesting.
It's like just everything that you're touching is like, ooh, I like that. So if we touch on the drumming and the whistling maybe first. Sure.
So I'm also a shaman. So I carry the lineage of the Seneca Wolf Clan. That's the native American nation in New York, in Western New York.
And out of the approximately 500 nations, they were the only ones who never gave up their ancestral land to the European settlers. So there's still big pieces of land in New York State that belong to the Seneca. There's three big pieces.
And they never gave them up. So they're still being taken care of. They're still on their land.
My teacher comes through that lineage with Grandmother Twyla. So my connection is always to nature, how we are from nature. We are made of nature.
We are everything that the air that we breathe. Once moved over the Himalayas. The water that we drink was in the ocean.
The body that we're made out of are the minerals and the rocks on the earth that we walk on. So it makes sense to be connected to our nature. We are of nature and we spend a lot of conditioning moving away from nature.
You know, we go into a house and we think, I live in a house. No, you live like the other animals with squirrels and eagles and foxes and things all around you. And it's good to connect because you're more your personality and your being is a natural being.
If we took you out of your house and had you go camping, had you go outside, had you walk on a path. I walk every morning. When COVID hit, I was not allowed to work.
I was ordered not to work because of the order at COVID. And I became depressed because I had to stay in the house. So I started to go for a walk.
And the day I started to go for a walk for an hour from my house down the street, through the suburb, to the trees, to the lake as close as I could, the park close to my house. I felt better. So I did it every day.
And I am not depressed because I connect with nature every day. Every single one of us has animals that are trying to help us and communicate with us. I take people on a shamanic journey where I do drumming.
So I have a big drum and I do drumming and I guide them through a meditation that takes them into their own experience. So if you can think about breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth, holotropic circular breathing, while I'm drumming, which is the heartbeat of the earth, to get you back to that heartbeat. And then whistling in the four directions.
So the easiest way to call in the spirits are from the cardinal directions. The east associated with the birth of the day and the birth of the new ideas. The south, when the sun is directly overhead.
So that's associated with the maturity of things when you're in the middle of doing your project. Call in the spirits of the west, which is about the setting sun, end of the day, the end of your life, when you reflect on your journey and you see the lessons that you could have learned. And then the spirits of the north, which are the afterlife.
So that's through the veils. And that's the pause between the cycle when you are spirit and you become a body again. So the north is where your ancestors are, where the angels, the spiritual beings are.
So by whistling, we call to all the directions to come be with us, help us journey. And then we can connect to our power animals or spirit guides. So, for example, in March, I'm doing three of those kinds of ceremonies in Cleveland, in Dayton and in New York City, actually in Stanford, Connecticut.
So we're going to be using owl medicine. Owl is the animal that can't be detected. There's YouTube videos with scientists detecting how much they can hear different animals like pigeons and hawks and different birds.
It cannot detect an owl. When an owl moves through the air, it cannot be detected by scientific equipment. And it's fascinating because the Native Americans associate owls with shaman.
Shaman means one who sees in the dark. That means you see through the veils into the spirit world. Like the owl, they move in the darkness.
They move into the shadow. They move into the things that you're afraid of and they go with you. The shaman will walk with you into the things you're afraid of so that you can see them for what they are.
They're just part of you, part of your power, your equal shadow and light. Both of them combine to create your power. And so with the owl, we are able to hunt those fears silently, to stalk those fears so that we can embrace our totality.
You're not just light, airy, happy, airy fairy, everything is OK, there is no bad in the world. No. You're alive because of your darkness.
Your darkness is what keeps you alive. That's where your ego is. That's what allows you to say, I'm going to keep going.
I'm going to make a better project. I'm going to do it better than the person next to me. There is power in the darkness.
Without both pieces of you, you're only half a person. And so the owl, as you know, will consume an animal and then spit out the parts that they don't, they can't digest. And it becomes an owl pellet.
And so we're going to take and consume our fears and spit out everything that we don't need anymore to get us ready for this new year, this year of the firehorse. And anyone can work with any animal. We all have guides that help us.
So for me, when I do journeys and I've done journeys for years and years and years, when I went to look for my power animals, they were on those four cardinal directions. So it was sea turtle, buffalo, wolf and dragon. And those are the spiritual beings who help me when I'm wondering what I should do next.
What path should I follow? What road should I walk down? And everyone has them. So people and I can see them. So one of the things I might ask, there was a person who came in and she said she wanted to start a spiritual journey and she wasn't sure.
And I said, why don't you ask the elephants? And she started to cry. And I said, because you're connected elephants. And she said, I've always loved elephants my whole life, but I never imagined talking to them.
I said, just pretend you're a child. If a child came upon an elephant in a dream, they would talk to them. They would ask them questions.
They would go for a ride. When you can come back to your origin, your childlike wonder, when you can be a child, you could be in your heart. Suddenly, things open up and become easy for you.
You ask for help. You allow yourself to receive bigger gifts. And so part of my job is to help people reconnect with nature.
Because she is the ultimate teacher. She's our mother. We all come from Mother Earth.
We all live under Father Sky. It's so simple. But putting all of the tech aside and walking outside, I've been able to help people get over their, there was a 63 year old jazz musician who had a lifelong stutter.
Great musician, great teacher, director of a program. And I took him outside and I said, there's something that's inside that wants to be expressed. He was always very careful about what he said.
I took him to a waterfall. There's just a little waterfall here by work. And I had him put on headphones and just scream and scream and scream and just kept, just held his heart and just let him scream until he started to cry.
And I said, there's an old story about someone who is not allowed to say something. And we worked through emotional release therapy, where you test emotions and you see what emotions are trapped, trying to get out, even if it's with your ancestors. And he found it.
There was an ancestor in Portugal who was not allowed to say that they were Jewish. They had to say that they were Catholic. They were being hunted and they needed to leave the country.
And he's very sensitive. He's a musician and he carried that in his body and he was able to release it because water is great for releasing and letting go. And he never stuttered again.
63 years old, he never stuttered again. The things that I do, I would say, are to connect people to nature and just guide them through that reconnection and give them a way. I teach 12 intuitive techniques in my program, but I have an infinite number in real time.
If people are on retreats, I am like a jazz musician. I'm like, all right, we're going to figure this out. We're going to have you sing.
We're going to hold you. We're going to look next to you. We're going to sit with you.
We're going to do whatever we need to do because something is trying to come through you. So you can just express yourself as you are. And I think that's why people find me because they know something about them.
They know that I'll stay with them no matter what they're afraid of. I will always walk with them in their darkness because I've already done it for myself and I'm not afraid of anything. Because you were talking about it during this lockdown.
You know, you went to the parks. The intelligent people of the city here decided to actually close off the parks. They were saying too dangerous.
Some people weren't. Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
They still have their jobs. So I was actually very lucky because I moved to a place with a beautiful garden, lots of trees and everything. So there's loads of wildlife that I see.
And what's strange is that sometimes I see a lot of squirrels and I hadn't seen them for a while. I'd seen them in the summer when I record and I sent to my mum. My mum loves it.
And she came. She comes to me every Christmas. So she spends about three weeks.
And she starts asking for the squirrels. And she was asking. And the next day in the morning, the squirrel was nearly in front of the windows.
And we hadn't seen the squirrels for ages. But I've seen foxes. I've seen hedgehogs, pheasants.
And there's also cats. There are wild cats. Like, you want to just pick them up and cuddle them.
But they just, like, you know, because, you know, I feed them. Yeah, me too. They just look in the window.
And it's like sometimes they're, like, meditating. But still, if you won't go, they're gone. But it's like, you could stay here for an hour.
They could just sit there and stare. And I think it's like they're kind of giving their gratitude. Oh, yeah.
Well, cats in particular have always been associated with healing and telepathy and all kinds of things like that. Every animal has a characteristic that they're trying to teach you. For example, foxes are trying to teach people how to hide in plain sight because they live right on the edge.
They live between the prairie and the forest. They come out in between, between the day and the night. And so the cool thing about them is that they, that is their gift, is to be hiding.
But they're right there. It's just that they have a way of being so still that people can't see them. And the wolf is the pathfinder, the wayshower.
So the wolf medicine is all about being the person to go first, to go over the mountain, to go through all the challenges, you know, get your knees skinned, get hurt, get back up again and go again. But to find a safe path, specifically to return to the pack and be able to lead the pack safely to the other side of the mountain. And that is a big, they're also, and they're also the shapeshifters.
So they're known for being able to shapeshift between different forms spiritually. But yeah, every, every animal has something. Every, every animal from, you know, flies, mice, everybody wants to be like the big animals.
But, you know, you can learn a lot from the smallest animal. You can learn a lot from rabbits about being sensitive, about always being in touch with what the vibration is on the ground and being very sensitive to the room. People who are sensitive often see rabbits.
And they don't move. And then they'll move very quickly. Or like frogs.
Frogs are associated with financial growth because frogs can only go forward. They can't go backwards. They're one of the few animals they have no ability.
They can turn, but they can only leap forward. So a lot of people will see a frog or a frog symbol right before their business takes a big leap. It's just fascinating.
I mean, to me, it's so obvious. To me, it's just in the same way that people will notice somebody has blue eyes. I'll notice, you know, I'll go up to somebody in a spiritual gathering, not just at a cocktail party and say, so how do you feel about crocodiles? And my friend and I were going to Egypt this year, but he said he'll never forget the time I just came up to him.
It was at a gathering of shamans in Sedona. And just as bright as, you know, good morning. Oh, how do you feel about crocodiles? I see you have a crocodile with you.
Because I could see the spiritual animal on his shoulder. And he just didn't even know what to say because he is from business. He had just sold his business.
You know, he's 55, mechanical engineer, engineering company. He was used to being very 3D. But it was it was a good initiation for him to understand that it's totally normal for people to be able to see the ancestors that are with you, the animals that are with you.
You know, your different shapes, your different beings, things like things that are just with you. It's absolutely normal, especially you could do that for yourself if no one else. So because there were certain areas like the brain concept of two sets of brains and you would lower the art taste touch, but then you would hire the intuition, imagination, imagination and love.
And I mean, I suppose the lower where most people are conscious of and they understand it, but the higher. How do people work on that? How do they tap into that? Hang around children because children are not divided. Think about the way that you were when you were a child.
It is intuition, willpower, motivation, love. All of these are actually muscles. So think about the way that you were told and taught how to do multiplication tables.
You know, or addition tables again, again, again, again, again, again, again. It's a practice. As Don Miguel Ruiz, the author of The Four Agreements, says, practice makes the master.
So it's repetition. The key is to practice. Relax in your body because you can't get intuition in a fist.
You have to relax. You have to be open to receiving. If you're in a fist, if you're if you're upset about the world, you're upset about your neighbor.
You feel like you don't have money. You feel like you're never going to go anywhere. If you have all of these things, it literally is like a fist.
You have to open. You have to practice relaxing. That might mean going for a walk.
That might mean doing 20 jumping jacks. That might mean doing like a hundred squats. You have to get your body oiled up and loose.
You can't think your way into motivation, willpower, devotion, intuition. You have to get your body relaxed first because this is going to come to you. This is subtle.
This is very hard tissue. This we can see, taste, touch, and feel. When we're talking about the more ethereal or celestial faculties, the other half, that takes practice.
But hang around children. Because if you say to a child, imagine being on a spaceship and going to a planet where the sun is purple. They go, got it.
Cool. Yes. Let's draw that.
They have no problem imagining. Imagination is the key that unlocks all of your celestial senses. So you have to imagine yourself and practice.
Imagine yourself healthy. Imagine yourself walking. Imagine yourself at a waterfall and you're under the waterfall and there's fairies and gnomes and unicorns and dragons.
You have to really extend what you can possibly imagine like a muscle. Just practice imagining different scenarios. Because if you can imagine it in your mind, then you can hold that idea in your hand.
In other words, you can bring that feeling into reality. But what happens is we focus on what we can see, hear, taste, and touch. So we focus on what we see on the Internet.
We focus on where we are instead of where we're going. So if somebody, like I lost 85 pounds 23 years ago. So I also help people go through a weight loss journey.
And that moment when I was in my kitchen, my son had just been born. And I thought, I'm just tired of being this big. And I had a nice healthy baby.
I did not have an 85 pound baby. I had a nice seven and a half pound baby. But I ate for comfort because my dad was always hard on me and a narcissist and a rageaholic.
I couldn't go to him for comfort. So I went to food for comfort. So I just ate to be comfortable because I'm sensitive.
I'm a sensitive gal. But I got tired of it. I just decided in that moment, I want to feel good in my body.
And the moment that feeling good was my priority, I just want to feel good in my body. I was willing to do anything else to make that happen. It was like I looked down and there was just a line.
The way that the runners start a marathon. And then there's a line that says start. I could see it.
I was like, this is where I start. I start at this age, this body, these circumstances. This is the clay.
I am the sculptor. I got this lump of clay. What am I going to do with it? So I started to experiment.
I stopped eating flour. I lost 25 pounds just not eating flour. I stopped eating dessert after dinner.
And I lost another 15 pounds. I had a newborn baby. So I was walking the baby up the stairs, down the stairs.
I was doing the laundry. I was doing the housework. I was moving.
My corporate job kept me in a desk all day long, not moving, ever. And that's really bad for my body. My body type needs movement.
I need to get up and walk every day for an hour to keep everything healthy. I didn't know that. I discovered that.
I dedicated myself to that path of self-discovery. My goal wasn't to lose 85 pounds. My goal was to feel good in my body.
When you have an emotional attachment to your outcome, you'll get there. If you lose weight because your spouse says, You look fat. You need to lose weight.
You will never lose weight. That's shaming. There is no way to make a body come into balance and harmony with shame.
Shame is the lowest vibration that you can experience in your body. Shame. That's someone else telling you who you are.
Not good enough. So this nothi sitam, this know yourself, it really is tied to your health. It's your self-health.
It's who you are. And you can explore it. And no one can take away your imagination.
So when you're imagining yourself in this new wonderful place, wherever it is, you're getting emotionally involved. And what you want to do is practice. Practice imagining.
Write it out. Just imagine what you want your dream outcome. I want to be at a retreat in Costa Rica, taking 10 people through breathwork training at the base of a volcano for two weeks with a pool and a hot tub and a personal chef.
As soon as you can imagine all that, and you can add details and you can write it down, you're bringing it into reality. You're bringing it from that celestial heavenly faculty into your reality, where you can see it, taste, touch and hold it. You pulled it into reality, but you imagined it first.
That's the first step. Imagine, practice, hang out with children, because they do it better than we do. I mean, my youngest, he's 12.
And it's like, he just decides, yeah, I want this. And he just figures out a way. And it's like, he knows he's getting it.
Like, he knows whatever he's decided he's doing or wants, it's happening. And I love that. Yeah.
Yeah. He has focus. He figures out what he wants, and he has focus.
And people get very hung up about, I don't want to, I don't know if what I want, I don't want it to be the wrong thing. There's no wrong thing. There's no wrong decision.
If that decision is not good for you, it won't work out for you. If you go this way in life, if you open a business, and the business fails, it's because you just took a wrong step. But you being in business is still a good idea.
You just need to be a little more fine-tuned about your skills and your gifts. You probably went into business to make money instead of because you love it. If you find something that you love to do, focus is easy, the love is easy.
All of a sudden, you're magnetically attracting, you're electromagnetically attracting people to help you get that business into reality. Never go into business for money. If that is the only reason you're going into business, it will fail.
It will. It has a very low vibration. It needs to have a higher vibration in order to survive what it takes to bring something into reality.
Yes, and if we talk about the vibration and what's going on, because we're bombarded with all negativity, and then say you realize they're spraying stuff, and then you just kind of see it all the time. And it's hard, because I'm conscious of that. One of my podcasts, it's The Awakening.
It's exposing fraud and corruption, but with solutions. So I'm always looking on the kind of positive. But I've seen a load of people, and they had to walk away from it.
But I'm seeing that with a load of people, because they're trying to sell me stuff. And I tell them, stop looking at this, because you're not changing it. All you're doing is putting.
But we're talking about a high percentage of the population is doing this. They're just looking, and now we have kind of the Epstein thing. It's like everywhere.
And it's not serving people, because everything now is doom and gloom. Oh, there's going to be a war. Every time there's a war somewhere.
I know. And they're telling you, like, there's nuclear and all this. But what's the best way for people to... I mean, for me, I personally, I kind of step away when I have... I mean, I research and I go, but I step away.
I look at comedies. I look at things that kind of... I read a book that's nothing to do with it. Before, it was odd.
I was reading all the kind of corruption books. But I said, no, this isn't that sort of thing. So I've limited it.
But I try to make sure that my spirits are up. So I'm not... I'm in a positive mood. It's like everything is good.
But unfortunately, there's a very high percentage of people that aren't. And what's the best way that they can kind of shift away from that? Because they are... Like, if you listen to the radio, you might be enjoying the music. And then sometimes it's twice in the hour, but at least once an hour for five minutes.
Do the news ever cheer you up with a smile on your face? It's like it's telling you all the dates. They don't say, oh, a new factory opened. There's a thousand new jobs.
You go, oh, that's good. I've never heard of anything like that. It's always doom and gloom.
And yet people tend to listen to it. I remember in... I don't know what it's like now, because most people don't watch the kind of TV as such. But it used to be the six o'clock news.
And it was like, that was the main thing. And people are sitting around. And that was kind of, you know, in the States as well.
And when you talk about it, it's sad. Because it's like, oh, what can I do? I can listen to something that's going to depress me. So a couple of things.
Number one, one of my favorite sayings that RuPaul ever said is, it's okay to glance at the darkness, but don't stare. In other words, it's okay to check in with what's happening in the world, but don't spend your day consuming all of that negativity. It's okay to understand the activities that are happening, but limit it.
And especially don't do it in the morning. Because that's your launching point. You're launching into the day.
The worst thing you could do is look at the news first thing in the morning. Because you're just fresh. You're just full.
And you're draining your battery. You're immediately draining your energy. Wait until 5 or 6 o'clock, frankly, and say for 15 minutes, I'm going to check in with the world.
Now, we are in a situation where we all used to watch the 6 o'clock news. But now the news is 24-7. But we can also do things like go onto Instagram and look for the good news.
We can look for the people like Chopwood, Carrie Water, who's saying this is happening, but here on Sunday, I'm going to give you a list of all the good things that happened so that you can see there is good happening in the world. There are many channels that are talking about the way that plastic in the ocean is being cleaned up, the way that scientists are discovering different kinds of mushrooms that will actually eat different kinds of plastic and take it back down into its molecules. I'm all about nature.
I'm all about the ocean. I'm all about science and things like that. So I make sure to curate my feed with things that are what else is true.
Just like I said, gloom and doom. Yeah, that's happening. I don't deny that it is happening.
And I understand. I see it. What else is happening? Scientists are discovering ways to actually clean up the ocean.
And we are cleaning it up. And what are we doing to keep it clean and things like that? Number two, although that is happening, that's true. What are you doing to make the world a better place? Are you inviting your neighbor over to have dinner? Are you reaching out to people who feel isolated? Are you spending time with seniors who can't drive and taking them to the grocery store? Are you making squirrel boxes so that squirrels have a safe place to live and you can watch them grow? What are you personally doing to make the world a better place? Because you sitting on your doom scroll is not helping.
It's not helping you. It's not helping your community. It's not helping your family.
Awareness can happen in 15 minutes. 15 minutes. You can know what's the most important thing that happened yesterday.
The bad bunny halftime show at the Super Bowl. That was by far the most important thing that happened. Everybody's talking about that.
Okay, now I'm going to go and take care of all the people in my world. What are you doing to put more of your love into the world? You can always help someone else. No matter who you are, there's someone that has less than you do.
They have less time, they have less money, or they have less physical ability. Find them. Read to somebody who has macular degeneration disorder.
Find a senior who can't read who loves to read. And read them a book. Read them poetry.
Remind yourself that you have the ability to bring and birth love into the world, regardless of the circumstances. It depends on your focus. Are you focused on finding a way to bring your gift into the world? Or are you going to say, the world rolled me over like a steamroller, and I'm just going to lay here and pretend that I'm dead? You're not dead, you're overwhelmed.
So, 15 minutes to check in with the world. Spend the rest of the day in nature, going for a walk, finding someone to help. You helping someone will immediately lift your spirits, lift your dopamine levels, lift your serotonin levels, lift your oxytocin levels, and you'll be more likely to help someone else.
Even picking up garbage, picking up litter, anything. There's so many simple things that you can do that will get your body moving and create those chemicals in your brain that'll say, I'm going to make it. I'm going to make the world a better place.
I'm going to do what I can. And I'm going to be one of those people who says, yes, that is happening. And what am I doing about it? Here's the 10 things about it I did today to make the world a little bit better, a little bit softer, and a little bit sweeter.
Beautiful. And I mean, it's the ripple effect. It's also your family, when you're doing that, your children are seeing it, and they become it.
So that's what I see with my son. And even just a phone call, like I said, I was very close when she was 11, my grandmother. And I'm a mummy's boy.
I ring my mom every day. But I make sure that he's ringing, obviously, my mom, his grandmother, but his Irish. He's got a grandmother.
And just get into the habit. And I said, if you're just even talking to them for five minutes, sometimes that makes their days. And he does it like I don't even have to say it to me.
He enjoys it. And you'd see him chatting away. And like the last day, his great-grandmother, she had some problem with the phone.
And he was there all explaining everything, how to retrieve the photos and stuff like that. And I could see he was getting pure enjoyment out of it. But they're simple little things that the elderly love because they realize they're loved, they're wanted, they're taught about, whereas a lot of the times they don't have that.
And spend time asking your elders, your grandparents, your parents about the stories. You could spend days just sitting around. How did you meet? What did you do? What was it like going to school? What was it like where you grew up? What do you remember about Christmas when you were a kid? The stories that connect the generations are also what keep us in a good vibration.
Biologists have just discovered we have the tissue in our body from 52 generations back. Now, the Native Americans think this is hilarious because they've had that belief forever. For the 10,000 years Native Americans have been in North America, they've always said 52 years, 52 generations, 52 generations of ancestors.
Biologists have just proved it. In your skin and bones and hair, there's the DNA of 52 generations, more or less 1,300 years of ancestors alive in you, alive in you. It's not just the color of your eyes.
It's how you think. It's how you move. It's how you laugh.
You have them with you. When you can connect to your parents, your grandparents, and back, you are activating parts of yourself, and you see the resilience. You see that you've gotten through 1,300 years, at least, in order to be here, and you see that you are an ancestor for the future.
When your future children's children look back, what do you want them to know? How did you get through it? It was really bad. How did you get through it? What did you do? I called your grandmother. I called your great-grandmother.
I planted a garden. I went for a walk. I made sure to connect with trees.
I made sure to be outside a lot, connect to the beach. I made food. Food is my love language.
I made food every Friday, invited all my friends over. Whatever it is, you are a future ancestor. You're passing on your love, your knowledge, your experience, and it's going forward.
So, any of those connections that you can make will raise your vibration. I think it's lovely to actually know the family tree as well because, unfortunately, some people don't even know what their grandparents done, and that's it. I was lucky that my great-grandmother was alive until I was, I think, 11 when she passed, so I was very close to her.
My mother just sent me a couple of days ago the birth cert. She opened some case that was away for a while, and she was 1897. The birth cert is her parents, so now I go, ooh.
But I see some people that are kind of doing it, and I think it's lovely. And then to kind of tell your kids as well instead of just assuming that has gone next, but that's fascinating, the 52 generations. 52 generations, and they're in you.
That's the thing is that we are animated. Our spirit animates our flesh. We are here.
The soul is what is the part that's making it alive. And so imagine instead of doom scrolling, that you just put on music that you like, like meditation music, anything. It could be 432 hertz.
It could be handpan. It could be anything. And all you did was let your breathing regulate itself, and you sat comfortably, and you just went into your heart, and you said, if there's any ancestors here that want to talk to me, I'm listening.
And you just wait. Wait for them to come. And they will always come to you every single time.
Every time. Every time I do this or I do this for other people, someone shows up. Every time.
Because they are with you. They're with you and in you. And so it's just meditating in and saying, okay, 52 generations, who's talking to me? What do I need help with? Who wants to come forward? And someone does.
I'm not sure to look at this, but with dreams, when you kind of dream of a certain person, because just when my mother was there, there was one granduncle that she dreamt of every day. But I had dreamt of him as well. And I thought that was kind of strange.
Like it was that we both dreamt of the same person. And that was before I had heard about. And I don't know if you have dreams or have you touched on dreams or what connection dreams have.
So dreams are unprocessed reality. So if there's some, there's, Dr. Sigmund Freud talks about the things that are subconscious become conscious in dreams. In other words, that's the time that the tide is lifting inside because you're not really focused on the outside world.
And so it's a time when your subconscious can bring things. And that's where you get into that intuition and memory and imagination and things like that. It's the easiest time for your ancestors to come to you because you're not distracted.
That's the easiest way to put it. Dreams are when you're tired. And when you're tired, you're more open.
So you rest your body. Your body is dividing itself. Your body is moving all the fluids and balancing out all the fluids in your system.
But it's also a time when you're finally still and quiet because we're so busy. You know, we're busy, busy, busy. And what we're talking about is very ethereal, very light, subtle energies.
You know, we're here in this dense reality. And in order for any kind of a spiritual experience or spiritual beings, that's very, very light. You could think of it as smoke.
You can think of it as, you know, something like a ray of light. That's what I'm talking about. It's ephemeral.
And so it can only come to us when we are still and silent, which is in our dreams. And they're all true. And you are every person in your dream.
So the part of you that connects to your uncle is the part of him that lives with you, that's in you. It was actually the one person, because my grandmother had, there was six of them there. He'd never had an argument with one of them or anybody.
I never saw him angry or anything. I looked at him like a grandfather. You rarely see a person that doesn't argue with anybody.
He's like, never fought with his brothers or sisters. Never. Wow.
That's deep. Exactly. Yeah.
That's really deep. I mean, that's almost like at a monk level. Wow.
So we always talk about him and how much we miss him and think about him. But it was like, it was just, yeah, he was come to our house twice, twice a week. And, but even just talking to, you know, my grandmother and everything like that.
That's so interesting. Was there any significance to the date that you and your mom both had dreams about him? I must check that. Yeah.
That he died. It could be. I'm not sure because I have to check that.
Yeah. That's interesting. This is something I could check.
Yeah. Just out of curiosity, that's kind of a doorway that's open. I only ask because my grandmother passed away on January 15th, and I have her prayer card on a mirror in my room.
And that was maybe 10 years ago, but it's been there the whole time. And it, it fell off and was on the floor where I had to see it. I would, you know, step past it.
And it came off the mirror on the day, on the same day, on January 15th, the day that she died. So I thought, oh, hi, Graham. I guess I should be thinking about her more.
So it just brought it to my attention. You know what I mean? And that's why I'm curious if that was a special day that might have been his, his birthday, his death day. You know, there's a few significant things.
It's hard to know. No, but I can, yeah, I'd be checking that out. And just find it, because I mean, you've got 15 books over there.
But you might touch on kind of maybe two or three and kind of explain what they are. So the listeners might kind of, because I mean, everything you talk about is fascinating. I love, I love comprehensiveness.
I feel that the books, the book chapters, they're a collateral of book chapters. I feel like the chapters that I contributed are all spiritual experiences. I wanted to normalize spiritual experiences so that when somebody read the book, they would say, oh, she had this extraordinary thing happen to her.
I guess I feel safer that I could explain it to somebody. Because most of the experiences I've had, I never told anybody. For example, my mom died in 2009.
And maybe four weeks before she died, I was there. She had a brain virus and she lost the ability to speak. So she was getting Reiki on a massage table in her bedroom.
And you have to understand, I was at a corporate job in a cube. I worked for a financial services company. I was a project manager.
Nothing spiritual, nothing unusual or nothing. And my dad said, I want you to go into the room. I'm like, what am I supposed to do? Like, I don't know Reiki.
I don't know about any of this. Just go be with her. So I felt stupid.
I was sitting on her bed. And this Reiki person is putting her hands over her. And I'm like, this is really dumb.
I feel really useless. So I rub my hands together. Just I really didn't know what else to do.
And for no reason, no apparent reason, I just sent love to her. Just like a little ball of love. Here you go.
And I could see it in my mind's eye, my imagination. I could see it as a blue ball, like this grapefruit size. It was energetic.
And it went over. And it got to her chest, like her heart area, and sank into her body. And the moment that the last little piece of it sank into her body, the Archangel Gabriel showed up in her room.
Celestial clouds, little cherubs. My eyes were open. And like the green eyes, the golden hair, green dress and everything.
And I thought, OK, Gabriel, wow, OK. My first thought was, I haven't seen him in a while. And my second thought was, I didn't remember his wings being that big.
They're huge. And the lady said to me, the Reiki lady, she said, hold her feet. Because my mom was moving around.
She said she was agitated. I'm like, I don't think she's agitated. I think she's going, holy, wow, this is the Archangel Gabriel.
So I held her feet. And the angel flew over my head. And the top of my hair went forward.
And he disappeared. I didn't tell anybody. Who was I going to tell about that? That's insane.
That is insane. I have my eyes open. I'm a civil engineer.
I'm a project manager. I'm a single mom with two kids. I don't even know what that was.
I don't even go to church anymore. Like, I'm too busy. And that happened.
So I wanted to write about it in case other people see angels and archangels and cherubs, to understand that that is real. That's a real thing. That can really happen.
You can really get a visitation with your eyes open if you're not spiritual, if you are not chanting every day and you're not a vegan and you're not, you know, whatever, if you're not pure. Similarly, I had a car. I was on my way to work.
And I was going very fast because I'm always late for work. I used to be late for work. I'm not anymore.
There's a client here. So I'm rushing to get to work. I get to a stop sign where there's a crossroad.
There's a stop sign. But they don't have a stop going this way. I have a stop sign to cross the road.
And it's rush hour. So I'm like, go, go, go, go, go, roll through the stop, roll through that stop, roll through the other one. I get there and I look and there's nobody here.
There's one person on my right, but they're turning into a driveway. So I'm like, oh, they're turning into the driveway so I can go. And I go.
But they moved into the driveway faster than I expected. And a car came. It was a Nissan because I remember the Nissan symbol on the front of the car.
The car came and it hit my car in the passenger side as I was crossing. And it hit that, broke that glass, sent me to the other side and my head hit the window. And then it bounced back and I said, oh, no, I don't think I'm going to be late.
I think I'm going to be hurt. And I hit my head again and I said, oh, no, I think I'm going to be really hurt. I'm not going to have a job and my kids and my mortgage and all of the things.
And I said no. I literally just whispered the word no. And I blinked.
And I was on the other side of the road. And the Nissan went, had stopped. We both looked at each other.
I was OK. My car was OK. Their car was OK.
My heartbeat was very low. You would think after being in a car accident, your heartbeat would be through the roof, very, very high. My heartbeat was very low.
And everything was fine. I looked at him. He looked at me.
He went away. I went to work. I got to work three minutes early.
And I thought, what happened? So when I meditated, my guides said, you made a choice. You decided to slow down forever. And I thought, that sounds like me because I'm kind of a drama queen and I need things to be very dramatic in order to listen.
And I'd gotten a lot of messages, slow down, slow down, slow down. I'm like, ah, I got this. No.
But I realized in that moment how precious my life was, how important I am to so many people. Not my clients, my kids, my family, my friends, more than just the clients. So I wrote about that because, as it turns out, other people have been in cars that phased through other cars.
And I didn't know that until I wrote the chapter. And people said, yeah, that happened to me. And I said, how cool is that? It might be the coolest thing ever.
And they're like, yeah, it was really cool. So I wrote about that. I wrote about my first shamanic journey experience.
Why I became a shaman. Why it opened up. It looked like when I did my first journey, it was like seven movies.
It was incredible. And I wrote about all of those. But my goal is to normalize spiritual experiences so that people feel safe talking about them, that they feel safe connecting to the spirit world, that they feel safe connecting to power animals, the spirit of trees, the spirit of water, the spirit of fire.
That they are always understanding that they have a physical experience and a spiritual experience at the same time. That they are anchoring heaven on earth. That they are a spiritual being in a physical flesh body.
We're always both. All the time. So that's my goal is to talk about it.
Normalize it. And let people feel good about having both of those experiences. Beautiful.
Love it. So you might let the listeners know, one, where the website, but also you mentioned a few things that you've coming up in March. You might just mention them again.
Sure. Because I know there's a high percentage is over 50% in the States. So they might be interested in going to that.
That would be great. So in March, I'm going to be doing three breathwork events. So that's the drumming with the guided music and things like that.
And that'll be in Cleveland, Ohio, in Dayton, Ohio, and in New York City. So those are all on my website, atlantiswolf.com forward slash events on the events page. I also do something called the Intuition Academy.
That is a six month program. We meet Wednesday for two hours. I have two different cohorts because I have an international audience.
So it meets at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. You get to pick your cohort. That is a longer program. And we're we've started this one that the first half of the year and the next one starts July 8th and goes for six months.
So it's I like to say, if you give me two hours a week, I will give you a strong connection to your intuition. And if you don't have it, you get to come through again. I'm just starting the online version of that.
And then I also have a women's retreat to the UK, actually, in September, September 21 to 25. And lastly, there's a conference. There's a women's conference for women entrepreneurs over 50 and the people who support them in October.
Basically, I'm always doing something and I'm always looking to connect. Everything is on Atlantis Wolf dot com. Everything is coming up.
Check the events page. I put things on my website more than on Instagram or LinkedIn. I do some of that.
I do it, but I do a lot of public speaking. So I like to just use speaking as a way to promote all the events. Yeah, I'll make sure I put the links both on the audio and the video.
Thank you very much. And, yeah, we'll have to get you back again because you're a wealth of knowledge and fantastic information. And thank you for my personal what you said to me as well, because I know my spirits were low prior to that.
And just to call that it helps. I appreciate it. Yeah.
Yeah. Assume it's normal and you're normal and healthy. Just got to give your body a little bit more time.
Thank you very much. So that's all for the meditation podcast. You'll find all our episodes on the meditation podcast.
Find everything about me. Scan the QR code. I'll go to www.roycoughlan.com. Until next week.
Take care.
