The Biggest Podpage Update Yet: A New Dashboard, Autopilot, and Automatic SEO

A redesigned dashboard, Autopilot for hands-off episode SEO, and a smarter Assistant — here's everything that changed, and why.

July 8, 2026

When you log into Podpage today, things are going to look a little different. We've been heads-down on a major release, and it touches almost every part of the dashboard. This is one of the biggest steps forward Podpage has ever taken — so here's a walkthrough of the bigger changes, what they do, and why we made them.

Want the video version? Just click Help → What's New any time to watch the full tour.

Why does the dashboard look different?

The first thing you'll notice is the navigation. The old two-column setup buried a lot of what you use most — if you wanted to edit your latest episode, you had to dig through Pages, then Episodes, then a list, then finally the episode itself.

We've replaced it with a standard, open navigation on the left, and reorganized everything into clear sections:

  • Podcast — everything about your show: Podcast Info (name, description, RSS feed, player links, social links).
  • Episodes — the heart of Podpage. All your imported episodes, plus guests and categories, which used to be buried under Pages.

We also added quick links (like jumping straight to your Latest Episode) and a brand-new Search Optimization section that pulls together all the SEO tools that used to be scattered around the dashboard.

What are bookmarks?

If there's something in Podpage you do all the time — like editing your latest episode — you can now bookmark any link and pin it to the top of your dashboard. Every time you log in, your most-used shortcuts are right there waiting. It's a small thing that saves a lot of clicks.

How does the new Search Optimization section work?

Podpage's whole job is to make your podcast website incredibly SEO-friendly, so we gave those tools a real home.

The new SEO dashboard gives you the full picture across your entire site — every episode and blog post, its score, and the key phrase it's targeting, all in one view.

And we answered one of our most-requested features. It's great to know what's wrong, but you also want to know how to fix it. Now you can. Every episode has an Autofix button that:

  1. Looks at the episode and recommends a focus key phrase.
  2. Suggests an optimized SEO title, subtitle, and description.
  3. Lets you apply the changes with one click.

In our own testing, a single episode went from mostly failing to 14 checks passing and none failing — in seconds.

What is Autopilot?

This is the big one. Autopilot is how Podpage takes episodes straight from your feed and makes them shine — automatically.

We've always imported and enhanced your episodes (like matching them to a YouTube video). Now, the moment an episode comes in, Autopilot gives it a full SEO boost without you lifting a finger:

  • Picks the right focus key phrase.
  • Writes a meta title and meta description for search engines.
  • Writes a summary we serve to Google.
  • Sorts the episode into your categories.
  • Pulls out key takeaways and generates FAQs based on what was actually said in the episode.

Here's why that matters: modern Google results aren't just blue links anymore. They're AI summaries, "People Also Ask" boxes, and little Q&A widgets all over the page. Autopilot is designed to feed your episode into all of those places — not just chase the #1 spot, but show up everywhere Google surfaces answers.

Your content stays untouched. We're not rewriting your show notes — we're adding smart structure around them. On your live episode page, you'll now see a Key Takeaways section near the top and a Frequently Asked Questions section at the bottom. You can edit them, delete them, or turn the whole thing off. It's your call.

What changed in the Assistant?

  • Stay tuned. We'll talk more about that tomorrow.
