Have you struggled to grow your small business? Welcome, I'm Elaine Starling, the abundance ambassador and the host of the abundance Journey podcast and video show. And I got to confess that when I first started the abundance journey, oh my gosh, it was really, really challenging trying to grow my business, I found myself just doing a lot of free coaching and consulting at that sounds familiar? Instead of charging for my services, it just, it was difficult communicating my value really clearly. So that prospects would actually want to buy for me was it just felt so awkward and so uncomfortable for me, oh, that business, the stuff that I had to do. I mean, I don't consider myself a great salesperson. And I didn't want to be armwrestling somebody to buy now, you know, that's just not my scene, I wanted to show up as my true authentic self, and be comfortable in who I am and just connect with people who get me who understand the value and really want to work with me. But honestly, I just didn't believe in myself enough. So the growth that I experienced was pretty slow and kind of challenging. In the early days, I was able to get through that. And I'm going to show you exactly how I did it. Now, the reason why I started the about his journey is because I had a conversation with the divine during a stroke. I know, I know, not everybody has this kind of an experience, New Year's Day 2005 I had a stroke. And I got this complete download from the Divine on how everything works, why we're actually alive, and how we can live the most abundant life possible for us how we can really really love our lives. And then I came out of that stroke with no damage, absolutely nothing. Everything in my life was healed and renewed and replenished. And then I was just kind of in shell shock because it was incredible. It was wonderful, wonderful experience. I loved every second of that conversation with the divine. And honestly, it's gonna sound funny, but I was a little pissed off too. Like, you know, I'm 43. I couldn't use this information all while ago. Yeah, I had to wait until now to explain how everything works. Are you kidding me. And the message I got back was great. Get back and get busy. Explain this to everybody else make it simple, easy to understand and easy to implement. And I was like, Excuse me, I just swallowed Google, you know, I've got all the images, all the connections, all the likes, all the everything. And I'm supposed to somehow make sense and organize that into something simple and easy to understand and implement. You got to be kidding me. I really, really resisted the assignment that I received from the Divine. It was a very difficult experience for me to finally understand how everything works, and synthesize it down so that people can actually implement this and make it easy and fun. I mean, it's really supposed to be fun, not that hard at all. And that's why I'm so passionate about helping spiritually oriented entrepreneurs, increase their revenue and enhance their reputation. Because that's really all it's about. And it's so much easier than you think so much easier than you think. That's why I created the abundance Journey podcast and video show. Now some of the episodes are me sharing some of the messages that I received from the divine and the guidance that I received. I still get guidance every day, throughout the day. Hey, there it is time for the activate abundant segment. Now this is a simple five step process that I'm going to walk you through. And I want you to pay attention to how it works. I'll review it again at the end so that you get all five steps really clearly. Because I want you to start activating abundance in your entire life. With every relationship with every conversation when you talk to yourself. This is what I want you to do. These five steps will change everything in your life. And it just takes a little practice it takes a little getting used to. And that's why I do the activate abundance segment at the end of every single episode. So you can see how it works. And you can get comfortable and familiar with it so that you start activating abundance in your own life. Okay, here we go. Step one is gratitude. I am so grateful that I get to collaborate with you and with my guests for the abundance journey. This abundance journey show is all about connecting our energy and creating a community of high vibe entrepreneurs who encourage and support each other. Doesn't feel great to know that you've got talented experts in your corner supporting you believing in you, helping you and encouraging you. It's awesome. There's so much to be grateful for there. That's step one is gratitude. Step two is to acknowledge one thing that stands out for you during the episode and for me, the one thing I'd like you to focus on from this episode is giving. Giving is really, really important. And I'm going to share a story with you that helps you understand just how powerful giving really is in your life. So I was recently at a dinner with a networking expert, and he was explaining to me How to create the best networking experiences and create relationships really quickly. good information to know. So I want to share it here. You always invite the person you're meeting to speak first, and you don't interrupt them, you let them go as long as they need to go. And then you ask them what you can do to support them. Right? What can I do to support you, because when you show up that way, and you're they're giving, first, you're not giving them all the information about you, you're supporting them and their needs. First, it really makes them eager to reciprocate. You can tell them what you'd like some help with, and all of a sudden, a relationship is born. It's that easy. And honestly, I want you to stop thinking that sharing the problems that you're dealing with the frustrations that you have as risky. Because I know, as an entrepreneur, I used to make this mistake to thinking that I had show up as perfect, right, I had to have everything figured out ahead of time. Now, I still don't have everything figured out, I still want support and help. And when you're willing to be open and vulnerable, you're giving other people an opportunity to support you, and feel really good about supporting you. So I want to acknowledge the importance and value of giving step two is acknowledge Step three is to appreciate the difference that giving can make in your life and your business. Now, giving first is actually a really important strategy for my business. In fact, every single successful business owner I've ever talked with, they all cite giving as one of their foundational success strategies, I really want you to own that. Because giving provides an opportunity for you to showcase your expertise and generosity. And when you show up being generous and supportive and encouraging to others, it's always returned to you tenfold in ways you could never anticipate. So let me give you another example. Okay, I recently stayed at the Marriott bonvoy in Irvine, California. And the lady you check in was really, really helpful. I was having a heck of a time trying to get on their internet. I just, it was just not working for me. She was so patient, she was so kind, she was so helpful. And I really wanted to stay in this vibe of gratitude. Right? So I use the magic question. How can it get even better than this? Because even though I was kind of frustrated, a little irritated, I just it was important to me to stay in gratitude. And I explained the secret question, this little trick to the woman who was helping me because when you say how can it get even better than this, you're acknowledging to the universe that there's a lot you could be grateful for right now. In this particular instance, I had a talented woman helping me get on the internet. I wasn't doing it all on my own. I had guidance I had support, it was working right, it was just going to take a little longer than I wanted it to. But it was working. And I'm ready for more. How can it get even better than this? Thank you so much for all that I have to be grateful for now. And there's even more that I can be grateful for coming in? Well, she heard this question. And she saw me deeply appreciate her support and her guidance. And she immediately gave me an upgrade to the M Club for the duration of my stay. I had no idea what the M Club was. But the Marriott when you say they're a lot, you earn enough points to join the M Club where breakfast is free every morning, and they've got drinks and snacks there throughout the day. It saved me a bundle to be able to participate in the M Club and I had no idea that she was going to do that. It's not like I started the conversation with the expectation I was gonna get something. No, no, no, no, no. I showed up in gratitude and appreciation acknowledging her and her expertise, and truly grateful for what she was providing to me. And she reciprocated back with free access to the club. Okay, are you getting this you understand how this is all working? So step one is gratitude. Step two is acknowledge something important that you really want to own. Step three is appreciate the difference that can make in your life. Step four, is to activate abundance. Now there are two different ways you can activate abundance. You can either assign a trigger, so that every time something happens, you remember to do something right it gets just have a trigger, or you can take out your calendar, you can actually schedule an appointment with yourself so that you do the follow up or you connect with somebody. So those are your two options to activate about it. So for me for this specific thing that we're talking about with giving I'm going And to use the trigger of taking notes. Because you probably don't know this about me, but I am a note taking junkie, it's like my brain is connected to my pen or my keyboard. And you know, I'm really paying attention to you when I'm typing away. Because then I'm I'm tuning into not only what you say, but the energy behind your words. And it opens me up to get downloads for you on things that could really serve you and how I can be there to be of service to you. So it puts me in that giving space every time I take notes. And I love that. I love that not only do I have notes I can refer to, but it opens me up. And it's the perfect trigger for me to make sure that I stay in that giving space. Okay, so step four is to activate abundance. Step five, is to celebrate your progress. I mean, truly, you're already making huge strides with one simple podcast with this podcast. And it's not that hard to do, right? It's actually really fun. Most five steps are super easy, and having fun. And doing the activate abundance process immediately gives you that huge burst of yeah, baby energy. It's super good for your body and it makes you more creative, more innovative and way more fun.
