About the Host:

When we are inspired by our own thoughts, we feel a true sense of joy, creativity, and the energy of infinite potential or possibilities that are available to us. Then someone needs a snack and the thoughts have gone. I am here to say YOU matter. My name is Carrie Lecuyer, I am an empowerment coach for moms with a feeling that there is more on their hearts and I want to help you reconnect and re-align with your soul's purpose and passion and remain a great MOM.

As a mom of two little boys who love mud, I have visions, goals, ideas, and thoughts. Sometimes they only lasted for seconds, and the rest of the day I spend cleaning up after my kids.

Over the past 20 years, I spent 15 years in a fast-paced career development and personal development environment. I have completed 26 half marathons, crossed the finish line at Ironman Canada, and became a mom. It has been the most amazing journey with so many lessons. I know for a fact that the moment I made a decision, clarity in all directions appeared.

I am here to help you connect with what lights you up, through 1:1 coaching.

Hello, my friends and welcome. You're listening to soul inspired decisions, a podcast for ordinary moms living extraordinary lives. My intention with this podcast is to teach, motivate and inspire by sharing stories, tools and strategies to help you unlock your greatest fears, annoying habits and old stories and make a move towards the things that have been on your heart. If you have been a little lost, or in a funk, and want to reconnect with your purpose, your passion and feel empowered again, then this is the best place for you to be hanging out. My name is Carrie Lecuyer. And I'm an ordinary mom making extraordinary decisions. This is me putting one foot in front of the other, moving towards my next goal, and hoping to inspire you along the way. Let's get started.

Carrie Lecuyer:

Hello, friends, welcome back to the solid spire podcast I have missed you all, it's been a long time it feels like and I know some of you have been asking when the next podcast comes out. And I thank you so much. It's keeping me accountable. It's on my list of things to do, who can relate to the list of things to do. But I have a few updates. And I'll get into this because I have a special invitation for you. Should you feel called and aligned to my brand new master class I've created called the next step. And it's exciting for me, because it's my first master class, I took some chunk of time at the end of 2030. To to figure out, walk through it and learn the different options in Texas techniques, which I have been putting off for a couple years, honestly. But it's time it feels good. And it feels right. And I want to let you know about it. So I'm so grateful just so you all know, you're here with me. And I'm grateful for every single listener I have had since the beginning, the ones who started listening, when I first started the podcast, the ones who come and go, the ones who have become clients, or have booked me to come speak in their organization that helps to lead women on certain topics. That's what I truly do love, I love being in front of the audience and teaching through real life experiences and feelings in it's very powerful. And I truly believe that we cross paths with the people that we need at a time, even if we don't understand. And this even rings true to me throughout different seasons of lives and why people come into my life, why I'm drawn to people on their podcasts or, or online talks. And I'm grateful for the messages and responses to my calls to action. Some of you are very much in my corner and support what I do, being online, and having an online presence isn't easy. It it may look simple and easy. But behind the scenes of all the things that you put into your head, and that self doubt in that negative talk. It's real life. It's just the things that I don't talk about much because I'm still always working through those myself, but they're very true and very relevant. And you may feel that in whatever you're going through or working through as well.

Carrie Lecuyer:

And again, I relate to this in the fact that I look at that I look at the people I follow and what I look in as an as mentors, as creators, as people who inspire me. And when we follow the people who inspire us, and not the people we're just following to see what's happening in their life and judging and criticizing. But the people who naturally inspire us is actually a very deep reflection of the qualities we see in ourselves. And we don't recognize often that much. But if you just take a minute to sit with that, and the next time you're on a drive and thinking about the people that you've listened to, or the people that you love hearing speak or the books that you read, the reflections and the qualities that you have that are very similar. It's a it's a reflection of you the great qualities you love about yourself squander that, truly honor that. So why for 2022 Oh man was really different. I mean, there's been a couple of hard years for all of us, you know what I'm talking about. And just like the 2022 light from June to the end was really tough for me. And I mean, who can really relate to a 2022 being tough, and I'm so grateful that it's done and over with. We have a brand new year 2023 There's lots of good energy already in it. And it's here and some of us have felt like we haven't been able to start yet. And where I really see this relevant is people in the in the fitness industry like the gyms and the pools. I mean, I started training in 2011 for Ironman Canada, and since then I have noticed like a January's the month of like the first three weeks are ridiculously busy every year and then by March it Peter so I think I've talked about that before For in some podcasts, but this year, it's been crickets, they get so debt. And I think if we look at that in our lives, where are you holding back because you don't trust the world, you don't trust yourself and showing up anymore. And we got to get by that. So you know, 2023 rolls around and you feel like you haven't finished the things that you wanted to maybe you never got started. So they're lingering on your brain that you never started. So why should I start now. But you do need to start, you do need to get out of your own way. Because that's what this is really about? Is you being in your own way, and get started this 2023? How do you feel about that? Like you like know that? That's what I need to do? Does this ring true for you? Does it feel like a good time to start? If it does just start slow? You have to start somewhere. So 2023 rolled around, and I had to clean up a few things. So I didn't rush into anything, which I actually never do. I never rush into the new year, I clean things up and get some things taken care of, and then roll into. Okay, so now I have, you know, still we still have 11 months, like it's a full year. And I really take the time to what do I really want to accomplish this year, where do I want to focus on and then then I start and the only way to start is then to commit. And that's the tricky part. So 2022 has shown me that there's strength and vulnerability, and my clients who are really the ones who benefit from that the ones who I speak in front of the ones that I work with who I really share stories that are really relatable so that you don't feel so alone, and that I really do share so many examples for you to feel comfortable and safe with moving forward in a safe environment that works for you. There is a huge connection made with my clients and I won't air things online or social media, those are really reserved for the ones who are listening and really want to chew and grow. And I use that as a package to move forward with my clients in a leadership style and mentorship style with all my tools and trainings that I've used over the years with solution focused coaching, coaching, and true colors, communications and the career development side of all my training of helping people move towards the future in the career that they want. And that's really reserved for the one on one openness of the clients that I work with and in the group settings of leading you to where you want to go. And I've learned a lot this past chair, and it felt very slow going for me. And really a lot of reflection, a lot of body pain and understanding where that's coming from. And I want you to understand that. Just because you're suffering doesn't mean you can't keep moving forward, you have to remember you can't put it put your growing until you heal because you will never move forward, you have to heal on the go. Healing on the go is the best way to move forward. Because we all know that when we have something going on with us, it's very easy to quit and to stop and say I'll heal when I or I will start when I or I will do this when I but that actually never happens. You have to decide that this is a part of me right now. And I'm going to heal as I move forward. And that's very powerful way of flipping things. And even though it feels awful when whatever you're going through, I get it in different areas of life for sure. But realizing and recognizing where you still need to go and want to go and push through it. Because when you start pushing forward, you start to heal those things automatically. And you move forward automatically. I worked with some really high end leaders last year, and it was super amazing. I learned a lot but can I get in my own way. So you can probably relate to that too. You have all these ideas and then we get into our own way. And the feedback that I get because I really looked for some feedback last year on the directions that I wanted to go because I wasn't really I was kind of losing where I wanted to go with moving forward. And the feedback that I got was that that's exactly what was coming across is that I was very unsure that of where I wanted to go so it was coming across even though my coaching is super powerful and impactful I can get people to where a place that they feel safe to expand their, what their dreams and wishes are and what's doable for them in a very quick way and I do I do give all the credit to all the trainee that I've taken to with the coaching diploma and the tools and the teachings from the international coaching Federation of how to get people to where they want to go quickly. And then it's up to them whether they choose to move forward or not. So it's, again, it's up to you whether you choose to move forward or not, once you have the tools, and that's where we sometimes lose disconnect. And when you show up to these podcasts, when you ask your self the question that they are asking you even for a quick second, just reflect and sit with it, then you have this powerful learning tool inside of you. And you get to acknowledge whether you want to move forward or not. That's how you grow. That's simply it, acknowledging what people are saying, Does it feel good? Does it not feel good? Is this a yes? Is this a no and honoring your decision? So with moving forward, and knowing that my coaching is still really strong, I really do love it, understanding where I want to go and teach. So I do have some bookings issue already. I'm super excited about them. They're right around the corner, and looking forward to seeing what I can create and shift myself. So my question for you today, because it's the question I had to sit with is, what's the shit you've been avoiding? Only you know that this is big. What's the one thing that pops into your mind? What is this shit you have been avoiding? And there can be a laundry list. Not, don't think of the whole thing, because it's overwhelming. And you're quite what's the one thing you have been avoiding? And breathe into that. Just sit there, take a minute to sit with it. Don't dismiss it. You've been doing that for months, maybe years.

Carrie Lecuyer:

What are the things you know you need to do, but keep doing the same thing. Or maybe you stop and find an excuse. That excuse get told, Oh, you know, my friends exactly what I'm talking about. We all have these things, these excuses, these thoughts that bring us down. Fear is huge for me, it gets stopped me for months and keep me spinning. And I can make lists just like you guys have all the things that I have to do. And in fact, I do have a list, I have all a list upon list of all the things I need to do should do want to do. And then there's life things that happen in our home that we have to take care of. And then we prioritize everything else except that the stuff that we want to do with that will help us light us up and feel like this laundry list isn't so heavy, we have to identify where we're losing sight of what's really important, because no one's going to move you forward until you decide. So this year, as a coach, I'm focusing on helping delivering things in a different way to help you move forward in a quicker fashion. Because I'm really good at that. That's what I forgot how good I was at beating in small groups to move forward. And there's such power in groups, it's my favorite thing, because then I can hear what others are going through. And it's so relatable and you think you're not not alone. And it's like this breath of fresh air to be like I'm not alone. And it's powerful. So this episode is not out till the end of the January. So thank you for patiently waiting for me. But I just wasn't in a rush. I'm not in a rush. I know, there's some things that are trickling in that I'm going to be working towards this year, personally, professionally. But also to ease into making sure that this is what I want to do. And to focus on that and get excited. And I've already made some big moves. I've made some phone calls that I've put off for a long time, had some meetings that I've put off for a long time. And I understand that they don't happen for a reason. But I also didn't make them happen because I wasn't ready at the time, even though I thought I was. And so here I am. They're they're done. They're actually off my list. But I started a few things in 2022. I put them off due to a little bit of help due to a little bit of mindset stuff that was happening to me and there's a lot that is required as a mom and taking care of my family and that really comes first for me. I had to come to a realization of what what do I need to shift and I have to really hone in my time. So guys, it's 642 in the morning, and I'm recording this I had to share something because at the end of the day, I just too exhausted and right now I'm listening to music. It feels good. I feel in the zone and I've got literally five minutes to finish this up and wrap this up and get it sent. But bottom line is I'm here showing up, and I made it happen. So what can you do today to show up, but the shifts you've been putting off, make something happen. So ways to work with me in 2023 are going to be available in a group's style pod master classes. And of course, the one on one and a new thing, it will be a VIP strategy session one a one where we can dive deeper into a one longer call and then you have some box or ask access. And that seems to be really powerful for people. And I actually really love it with the people that I work with. And so I want to offer that to you, I want to offer as many ways as I can to, for you to keep moving forward. That's very important. Mentorship is huge. And regardless of what happened to you last year, January 1 hit, and we're all at zero, we all start at zero. So it now matters, how you show up how you choose to show up and look at this brand new year. Let's take away all the fluff and really get into what it is you want. Like what's the one thing what is it? It's time to start? Until next time. Thank you for joining me here. Please share with friends. Let's build this community of women of all ages who truly want to grow. Get out of your own way, make things happen. Get out the Cova calm it wake up. And don't be afraid because I got you, whatever you're going through. I'm sure I've been through it. You know someone else has gone through it and we need to share our stories to move forward. We got this Take care.
