You put real work into every episode. So when a new one goes live, your most loyal listeners should be the first to know — not whenever they happen to open their podcast app days later.
That's why we built Episode Alerts: a new Podpage feature that automatically emails your subscribers the moment you publish a new episode. No exporting lists, no third-party email tool, no manual sends. It just works.
How it works
Once it's turned on, Episode Alerts runs on autopilot:
- When you publish a new episode and Podpage imports it, we automatically send an email to the subscribers on your Podpage mailing list.
- The email announces your new episode and links listeners straight to it on your site.
- Replies go directly to you — we set the reply-to address to your podcast's contact email, so listener responses land right in your inbox.
- Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and we handle it for you automatically.
You don't have to write or schedule anything. Release your episode as usual, and your listeners get notified.
Built to keep your emails landing in inboxes
Sending email well is harder than it looks, so we've built in the things that protect your sender reputation from day one:
- Clean lists. We run every address through ZeroBounce validation before sending, filtering out invalid and risky emails that would otherwise hurt your deliverability.
- Automatic safeguards. We monitor bounces and spam complaints, and if anything looks off, we'll pause sending and reach out so we can sort it out together.
What it is — and what it isn't
Episode Alerts is designed to do one thing really well: let your audience know when there's a new episode to listen to. It's a simple, automatic way to keep listeners coming back.
It's not a full newsletter or marketing platform — if you need custom broadcasts, drip campaigns, or advanced segmentation, a dedicated email tool is still the right choice. For most podcasters who just want to say "hey, there's a new episode," this is all you need.
Rolling out now
Episode Alerts is rolling out in invite-only mode while we smooth out the last few rough edges — but any Pro or Elite user can request an invite today. Just reach out and we'll turn it on for your account. Soon, it'll be available to all Pro and Elite users automatically.
At launch, there's a monthly cap on total emails — 500 for Pro and 5,000 for Elite — which covers the needs of most shows. If your list is larger, we're exploring a dedicated Email add-on down the road.
Get started
Head to your Dashboard → Autopilot → Email Listeners to set it up, and send yourself a preview to see exactly what your listeners will get.
