Great podcast that exposes the many ways in which our criminal justice system is terribly broken. I really appreciated the incredible deep dive reporting and the ways in which the effort, stories and frustrations moved the investigators. Thank you for putting in the time and effort that the police, prosecutors, and parole boards of Florida should be doing as part of their jobs. Leo deserves better than what our broken system delivered him.
While listening to the first episode, I wasn’t sure if I would like this podcast. However, very quickly I became addicted to it, and couldn’t stop listening until I got to the end. Such great reporting, yet a heartbreaking story.
I often find investigative true crime podcasts plodding, but not this one. The story is beautifully told in a way that brings out the terror and tragedy of Leo’s case with facts alone. The characters are rendered in all of their complexity without flattening them out. Thank you for making this.
The state is like any other mammoth organization , it will protect buercrats above all others. If he is found wrongfully convicted. It’s embarrassing and a civil suit will follow. Be careful when you turn to the government to solve your problems. The government is slow and ineffective at basic tasks . It rewards seniority over skill and delivers a lame result.
This story will trigger most of the emotions human possess. The podcast itself is professionally produced and presented. It’s sequential yet creative. I’m feeling angry but thankful for the story, the information. Its the first podcast that makes me want to get involved and do something to help this innocent man. #freeleoschofield
I listen to a lot of podcasts but have never really taken the time to review one. The storytelling in this podcast was so thorough and I thank the storytellers for bringing Michelle and Leo Schofield’s story to light. Praying that Leo sees justice carried out for his case soon. Highly recommend this podcast.

Hands down one of the best podcasts I’ve listened to. It’s so well researched, you can tell that they really do care about Leo to put that much time in. It’s preposterous that this man never got justice. But it’s so nice to see compassion.
Such a compelling story that is also completely infuriating. I knew nothing about this case, and I cannot believe Leo is still in jail. I’ve been convinced of his innocence through this podcast and hope he gets justice soon! This is a story that needs to be told.
The last episode gave me chills and was masterful storytelling. The coverage of this crime was comprehensive without becoming trauma porn. ImI hope justice is served someday.

I listen to a lot of “wrongfully convicted” or murder podcasts. But this is altogether different. It is brilliantly produced and reported. Masterful work.

This podcast and the way that the story way told kept me interested and intrigued the entire way through. They deserve nothing less than a five star review for the awesome work that they have done here.
I am also incredibly sad and angry at the miscarriage of justice that is being done here. Florida state and it’s legal system should be ashamed. I know a lot comes with admitting you put an innocent behind bars for over 30 years but trying to hide from the facts doesn’t make them go away. I sincerely hope that they decide to stop being ostriches and fix this situation. Maybe this podcast and all of us can help.
