I am coming back to the podcast after a while and am loving Flightless with David, but so help me God…do something with Monica! She is truly more annoying than she has ever been and is constantly interrupting. I don’t know if I will stay but she is ruining the experience for me. As for JVN, he really used this show for sympathy and it it hasn’t been the first time. Look it up. I stand with Dax!

I’m only here for Flightless Bird. I love David Farrier and the various topics he covers every week.

I love this podcast. Dax is smart, and asks great questions. Even the uncomfortable ones that most are afraid to ask. I always enjoy his interviews.

Dax and Monica do a fabulous job interviewing and engaging with experts and celebrities alike. I have so appreciated all the guests from different walks of life who I might not have heard from otherwise! Have found countless authors, shows, and experts through them. I have felt seen, cried, and laughed along the way.Also appreciate the AC umbrella and the variety of content they have come to offer! For all who choose to be blatantly rude & ugly in the reviews because of ONE episode, please find something else to consume your time. Everyone is in a different place in their journey of understanding, and using the right type of language to discuss tricky topics. Have some GRACE, as I’m sure you would want people to do for you. We are all imperfect and learning.

Is it tone deaf to ask JVN to grow some balls?

Excited to listen to Chad Sanders. He is a great addition to Armchair.

I am a long time listener, and really love all of the shows armchair offers.I love hearing the celebrity interviews that shed a little light on their lives and personalities as opposed to solely talking about whatever project they are working on.I always learn something from the experts and the armchair Anonymous episodes always make me laugh out loud.I really show up for Dax, but I even listened to the egg freezing series and loved the vulnerability. As a mom who has suffered miscarriage and found a lot of support in talking about it and sharing, I know that there are a lot of people you helped simply by sharing that process and experience.Having listened for years, this is the first review I am leaving, which is really prompted by all the recent negative reviews.I tell everyone who will listen about the show and how much I love Dax. But that does not mean I agree with everything that comes out of his, Monica’s, or any guest’s mouth.I think all of the listeners and people behind their keyboards need to remember just how vulnerable it is to get on a microphone and put content out there, knowing listeners are going to analyze every single word.I think we need to remember to give people grace in general. We are never going to 100% agree with any other human and we can’t set unrealistic standards for another human, celebrity or not.Love this show and what they do!

This podcast is real and raw and so very beautiful. Dax, Monica and Wobby Wob are some of my favorite people. Dax is so hilarious and relatable. Monica is the friend everyone needs in their corner. Rob keeps the wheels on the bus. If you’re a person that values soulful, honest conversations, this is for you. If you’re a troll with nothing nice to say, move along. This isn’t for you, you’re not ready for it yet.

I don’t really read podcast reviews - but I have to say reading through these especially the comments about Monica made me so upset I had to write a review. No one is perfect and neither Dax nor Monica claim to be. Monica is intelligent,articulate, and curious. I have loved getting to know her since day 1. I think the dynamic of her and Dax’s relationship makes the show more relatable. I have never understood the desire to write a negative review about a show simply for disliking a host. It’s really striking. I think this show is wonderful and its creators very humble about their knowledge or ignorance; mistakes and missteps. This show makes me feel related to and appreciated. I learn and laugh and sometimes that’s all you need. Keep shining and thank you for the content.

I love show and the spinoffs. This last fact check about nuclear power plants was technically but disingenuous. Yes Georgia did just add 2 plants to an existing facility but, the US isn’t actively working on any. Instead slowly shutting them down. Vivek was right. Nuclear is the only viable environmental nice option. Anything involving batteries is bad. Wind output never surpasses what it took to make a windmill. Solar uses coal and extreme heat, plus covering the land. Hydro, dams, hard to do

I’ve been a listener since the beginning to all of the Armchair umbrella podcasts. Love Dax, Monica and Rob. They have the best guests and honest discussions. Hope it never comes to an end♥️

This podcast is my favorite! I listen to many but what I love about this one primarily is their interview style. The ability to be vulnerable and safe while sharing. The bonus is that I learn so much! I’ve even changed and shifted in my beliefs on some cultural topics due to their thoughtful conversations. This is always a must listen the day it comes out! #armcherry4life! 🍒

I love arm chair experts! I love the dynamic between Monica and Dax. I think they both keep each other honest and help clarify things when the other cannot verbalize what they want to say.I have listened since the very first show and while I do wish you could separate the different off shoots so you can listen to a certain category I find it entertaining informative and fun. I am so thrilled about its success.

Since comments are restricted on Instagram for the Fred A episode- check out Jack Nicholson’s family background. He was raised thinking his mother was his sister. I loved the Fred Armisen podcast. So fun listening to him.

Absolutely love the spin-off series (Flightless Birds and Synced). Monica is relatable and thoughtful, and David is so fun! I do wish on the regular series they would do a better job of fact checking at times. Overall great pods!

It’s important we have conversations where we don’t see eye to eye! Dax is a respectful interviewer who listens with an open mind. People mad at this podcast need to get back inside their echo chambers. Keep up the good work Dax and Monica. Thanks for all you do!

I want to thank Dax and Monica for the restaurant recommendations in London that you have mentioned several times on your podcast. Me and my husband just returned from a quick vacation to London and ate dinner at both Lina Stores Restaurant, and Brat Restaurant. The food at Lina Stores was amazing and the atmosphere was very comfortable and cozy. Brat restaurant was outstanding! From the salad to the dessert, the food was just tremendous. And our waiter did an amazing job. This made our quick trip (only 4 days) so much more enjoyable. Thank you again. Love your podcast. Keep up the great work you do.

I have listened to every single episode in the umbrella and will never stop. I love Dax and I think he is fantastic at this gig. I do have to say this: Monica bothers me- it’s as if she gets off on putting people in their place and making them feel badly. It’s cringey listening to her jump down Dax’s throat and David’s throat and Liz’s throat. She has her silly moments which I enjoy but sometimes I just feel embarrassed for her. I’m not trying to be a hater- I just wish she would lighten up a little. She seems so angry. I don’t remember her always being like this years back in this show. It’s like she got more comfortable maybe, which can be a good thing but it makes it hard to listen to her. Especially when she talks about how tiny and little she is. It’s obnoxious and insensitive to other people who are battling weight issues. I still love love love the show nonetheless! I take off one star due to Monica. She can improve!! I learn so much.

Thank you for excellent content and convos. Let’s remember that we are allowed to ask questions and if there’s disagreement and discussion does not mean offense. Offense is not given it’s taken. And Dax and Monica keep it up! We are all learning and growing to treat others the way we want to be treated.

Dax continues to impress with his ability to hold space with the best and the brightest. You have a real talent for this work pal. Keep asking for the receipts when things don’t add up. Additionally….to the publicist working with JVM; YOUR CLIENT has compassion fatigue. Put together a “do not ask” list and get some distance from the advocacy for a while. Love you Dax & Monica
