Funny and lovely
Always love to hear Alex say “you are good”
A treasure
Sarah Marshall talking about Newsies is my emotional support animal. Thank you for existing.
we love feelings
yall are great (yup, para-socially). the "trucks" episode alone made me very glad i stay in new orleans ;) thank you both for the generosity of sharing your kindness, weird=beautiful brains, and friendship with each other. love from louisiana!
Great way to revisit movies that you love
Please revisit Burlesque given that it’s basically the story of Kamala/Xtina taking over for Joe Biden/Cher to save their failing burlesque venue/democracy
Who are these guests
And why do I care?
Good for the soul
Always there when I need! Thanks, yall!
Trucks Episode goes quiet with 8 min left
I think something happened to the episode at the end but it was amazing anyway! I love you guys soooo much.
Rubber Duckie
Delightful banter and a respect for listener’s intelligence, it’s my go-to for comfort in the tub…like a rubber duckie! Love Eve Lindley’s episodes - she’s a perfect addition to the pair of you!
Insights & Delights
I love this show and its sweet hosts. They dissect the feelings behind all my favorite movies and do it with fantastic jokes, deep insights, and a relatable distain for the effects of late-stage capitalism.
Great podcast!
Please cover terms of endearment!
Love the podcast!
Would you be interested in covering “Robots “?
Sarah is a national treasure
Sarah Marshall just described Val Kilmer and Kurt Russell in Tombstone as “witty power bottom Doc Holliday and big dumb top Wyatt Earp” and it’s simply the most perfect thing I’ve ever heard
Just another Rave Reviewer
Thank you, You two have been a savings grace for 2 ish years? maybe more? I cannot remember when I started listening but wanted to mention how grateful I am for this movies podcast. Thank you for your safe and fun approach to dealing with our humanity and our need for humour. Also shout out for blessing my ears with the Tremors episode 😂
A soft hug of movie gab
The way the intro music comes in like a soft lap of waves gently cresting over your skin is worth 5 stars alone. I find a lot of comfort in this pod and have a few eps I return to for a few minutes of calm in an otherwise unhappy season of life (Sleepless in Seattle particularly) ♥️
Movies and feelings
Brilliantly funny and incisive. Sarah and Alex are magic to listen to! Must listen to if you like movies, empathy and comedy. When I heard Sarah spontaneously lay down the Scruff McGruff jingle, I felt compelled to write this review! Keep it up
Must listen
I love Sarah and Alex and everything about them!!! Must listen!
This show consistently relates to the best that's in us
I cant stop listening to these enthralling episodes -and I want you to know- I've shared this podcast with lots of people in my circle. Friends, family and dreamers ---they all love it, and so do I! Please keep up the thoughtful insights. Your humor, ideas, and gentle voices are SO appreciated.
Love this
I could listen to them talk all day about movies. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Movies and feelings: my two favorite things
I love this podcast. Whether I have seen the movie or not, it is always fun and interesting listening to Alex and Sarah (and their wonderful guests) talk through the way the movie has impacted them. I often get funny looks from strangers because I sometimes laugh out loud listening to this show on my earbuds. But there are also moments that are moving and make me think. Mostly I find my day is always a little better spending time with these two.
Thoughtful, funny, and comforting.
I’m new to this podcast and glad there are so many episodes to catch up on! I love the concept, the hosts are charming, and they have an amazing range of guests.
A podcast of enjoyment and empathy
I have learned more about myself, and found even more to enjoy in life from listening. In no-stakes scenarios, I been able to benefit from the perspective of others who are willing to share about their experiences through the shared lense of a movie; which has been particularly enlightening because so often Alex and Sarah have unique guests who bring all thier passion, humor, and trauma to make the conversation even more engaging and meaningful. Thanks, <3 Alison
In love with this podcast forever!
I loooooooved the My Best Friend’s Wedding episode!!!♥️♥️♥️
My Best Friends Wedding
“Wishin and Hoping” opening song - it’s actually Ani DiFranco singing…. Another layer to the bizarre story. I need to know how they got that iconic queer righteous babe to record that song! Woah. Loved this episode.
5-hundred Stars
Inviting, enlightening, and truly loving. Couldn’t adore more. A lot of comments that are likely said casually continue to fuel my engagements with my psychologist. *SAAAAMMM SAAAAANNNDDDEERRRRSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! I burn, I pine, I perish - he is the absolute best person I’ve ever not-actually-known, ever.
