00 Do you ever feel like you are totally inadequate?

40 How do you regroup after you realize the task is impossible and you are inadequate as it stands? How do you recover from burnout?

18 Do the Work by Steven Pressfield it states: "The more important the call to the souls evolution, the more resistance we will feel pursuing it." He goes onto say that resistance knows nothing about you. Resistance is as impersonal as rain. Though, because you feel the resistance you know you are going in the right direction. You know that you are the path of growth.

12 When we start to transform we learn a lot about ourselves, specifically the qualities and thoughts we didn't know we had before. When we start to grow, those bad qualities start to emerge from being buried inside us. It is a very uncomfortable feeling! Seeing that we were in the wrong, that the problem was us and our mindset and we need to change.

25 While we are learning we often hit walls and it's our job to get around them. However, many many times people (ourselves included) hit that wall and turn back. We see a wall and tell ourselves that maybe this is not for us, maybe its just not meant to be. Growth is meant to be, we can try and fight the resistance but it will keep coming!

25 On our journey we are setting big goals and work on reaching them. Are we reaching goals that are easy to attain or hard? We all have small goals but are our big goals even attainable right now? They shouldn't be. It should be a goal so big that we have to change and grow to meet it. If you set a goal you know you can achieve, then you don't grow while working on them.

30 Unfortunately, while we grow there is a lot of pain involved. Getting out of our comfort zone, failing etc. While in it, it's important to feel it! Where there is pain there is power! Sometimes we fall flat on our face and it takes us a while to get back up. Here are some real tips that help when you don't feel like trying again.

08 Usually a negative thinking cycle has started in our head. Then when we really do trip and fall it's as if all the negative thoughts were justified. Start thinking positively. It seems that our minds can get to the worst of the worst situations fast - why not think of the best situation that could happen? Neither are likely but with a positive one in mind, it will make that positive witch.
40 Have a realization. Sometimes you cant juggle everything in your life. Keep working towards your most important goals but know what you can handle. Have a little humility.
40 Find some inspiring input. Turn to a great book. Le Miserables is a great book by Victor Hugo about the struggle of mankind. How unfortunate things happen to good people and that it is possible to get out of it. Failure is not final nor uncommon. People deal with it all the time and the truly great triumph.
17 Turn on some positive or calming music. Music influences our emotions, input determines output.
13 Exercise! When you are feeling the heat of pressure go sweat it out. Release that energy.
45 Get a file, a folder or a box and fill it with positive notes people have written to you. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you are a bad person. Keep them close and let them inspire you to keep going.
15 List some accomplishments that you are proud of. Hard things you have done and can help you climb over that next wall.
50 We have to be able to separate being a good person and our own incompetence. We may be bad at golf or have trouble parenting but does that make us a bad person? No! It just means that we have things we need to work on.

55 To go off of that, we are expected a lot of times to be great at things we were never taught! It's ok if we learn along the way how to parent, we have never done it before and we have the opportunity to keep working on it!
27 There are so many kids out there who struggle to launch into adulthood. Parents are failing to teach their kids how to be responsible and function in the real world. Many children come back home from missions, college and job opportunities because it was 'too hard.' No doubt it was hard, but many people out there are capable they just were never taught how to persevere. They have never done hard things before so when they face the challenges of everyday life, they can't handle it. Mental problems is a big one. Teach your kids to be mentally tough, to see that they can do it.
