Power Of Resilience: Interview with Colin Owensby
Colin Owensby is an ultra-endurance athlete, resilience advocate, and wellness entrepreneur whose story sits at the intersection of grief, reinvention, and human performance.
At 15, Colin survived a near-fatal car accident that left doctors telling his parents he might never walk again. Within months, he defied that prognosis. Shortly after, he experienced another life-altering loss when his brother died suddenly. Those moments became the foundation for a life built around resilience, movement, and meaning.
Since then, Colin has competed as an NCAA swimmer, modeled internationally for brands including Ferragamo, Zegna, and Giorgio Armani, been featured in Vogue, worked in film and television alongside A-list talent, and completed two Ironman races and a 100-mile ultramarathon.
Today, Colin uses endurance not simply as a test of physical toughness, but as a way to explore emotional strength, identity, and purpose. His Map of Resilience, developed over 25 years, is a practical framework rooted in daily habits, relationships, environment, and meaning, helping people move through grief and adversity without losing themselves.
