Exposed Investigates: The Scandals of Lauren Boebert
She built a brand as the gun-toting, MAGA-loyal congresswoman from Colorado — the high-school dropout who owned Shooters Grill, won a House seat, and never stopped talking. Then the headlines started stacking up, and they never really stopped. In this episode Jim Chapman walks through the public record on Rep. Lauren Boebert: the September 2023 night she was escorted out of Denver’s Beetlejuice musical after complaints of vaping, flash photos, singing over the show, and groping her date on camera — followed by a denial, then the footage, then an apology she blamed on a messy divorce.
The 2023 split from Jayson Boebert,. Her oldest son Tyler’s string of cases — vehicle break-ins and identity theft, a child-abuse plea after a toddler wandered unsupervised, and 2026 felony charges tied to an explicit video with a then-17-year-old as well as new allegations alleging sexual relationships with three staffers under her supervision and a $200,000 payment to keep one quiet — claims Boebert and at least one named aide have called utterly false and politically motivated.

20 Hey everyone, welcome back to Exposed. I am Jim Chapman, and today I'm going to take you on a journey through the scandals of one of the most powerful Congresswomen in the United States. And I'm talking about Congresswoman Lauren Boebert. Now, If you're not familiar, Lauren Boebert is what you would consider a very hard right MAGA Republican. She is a leader in what you would say was the younger MAGA movement. She's only 39 years old now, and she quite honestly is very stunning, extremely attractive, very well-built woman, and that's going to play a part in this story. Now, throughout her time in Congress, sex scandals in particular have seemed to follow her. Today, we're going to go through it all.
06 Sex scandals and scandals otherwise, including taking you to September 10th in 2023, a pretty infamous scandal in Denver at the Buell Theater where Beetlejuice was on stage and in the dark vaping a couple. This is Lauren Boebert. and her then-boyfriend, or a guy she was dating. They're caught on video groping each other, and I mean hot and heavy stuff, y'all, during this production. And we're going to go all the way up to the most recent complaint filed against Boebert, which you may not even know about yet. It's so recent, only two days from this recording, and that complaint accuses her and that's a key word, accuses her of having a sexual relationship with three staffers, including two females. Now, how did Lauren Boebert get to this point?
56 We're going to cover all of it today, so let's get into it. And this story starts out on December 19th of 1986 in a suburb of Orlando, Florida, because that is when Lauren Boebert, Boebert was born. She was born Lauren Opal Roberts. Now, she didn't have a father on her birth certificate, and her mother was young, 18 years old. Her mother's name is Shawn Elaine Roberts, but you may see her listed as Shawna Elaine Roberts or Shawna Bentz. Same woman, y'all. She is a high school dropout. She had just become a parent. At the very same age, her daughter will also one day become a parent. So I mentioned there's no father listed on that birth certificate, but Shauna believed for years that she knew who the father was. As a matter of fact, she said the father was a man named Wallace Stanfield Lane, also known as Sweet. Stan Lane, a professional wrestler. He was part of a tag team called the Fabulous Ones, which was a very popular wrestling tag team of that era. Lauren's mom claimed they were an item and she claimed when she went to him and said, hey, I'm pregnant. He said he didn't want anything to do with that and that he wanted the pregnancy terminated. This is her story and that she refused to do that. And so he left her kind of high and dry. Now, she would spend years trying to get child support out of this guy.
27 And in 1990, a court-ordered paternity test when Lauren was four years old came back negative. that wasn't enough for Shawna. She didn't believe the test and she would continue writing agencies about this test even when Lauren hit her teenage years. But I don't want to jump that far ahead yet. So let's go back to 1990 when Lauren was four years old. So Shawna She operates from Florida and takes her to Colorado to stay with a boyfriend that she had in Colorado. That relationship did not last long. Mother and daughter end up back in Florida for a different boyfriend.
09 And that wouldn't last that long either. So they returned back to Colorado to another man. And this man would become Lauren's stepfather. So by the time Lauren is 12, they are in Denver, Colorado. Then they moved to Aurora, Colorado. And they kind of go back and forth between these areas. And it's not like a move to bigger and better surroundings. It's honestly because they were struggling. They were on welfare. And overall, they just didn't produce an income that would be considered noteworthy. So they were moving to these different spots to try to, I guess, get cheaper rent, things like that. Now, in 2003, the family moves to what's known as Rifle, Colorado. This is on Colorado's western slope.
57 And Lauren attends Rifle High School. Now, when Lauren is 16, she kind of settles in. And look, even at that age, she was a hard worker. She starts working at the local McDonald's. and then starts working at Burger King. And this is also the year she meets a guy by the name of Jason Boebert. Now remember, she's 16 at this time. Jason, he's much older. He's 22. He had come to Colorado from Las Vegas, and he was struggling himself. And he was like a prototypical bad boy, right? In Vegas, he was unemployed. He was actually homeless. And he was in trouble a lot. He was on a path He himself didn't think that he would survive. So he's looking for bigger and better things. He eventually goes to Colorado, which is where he meets Lauren. At that time, he is working on an oil crew. in the area, and one day he and his crew, they stroll in to the local Burger King on lunch. She would say later that the first time she laid eyes on him, she thought that was the most beautiful man she had ever seen.
02 Not just in rifle, but anywhere. She said that Hollywood could not have scripted their story. He walked up to her and he asked calmly, what are they doing later? Now, Again, she's 16, he's 22, she's still in high school. So Colorado's age of consent is 17. Now the state also has a close in age rule. That's what they call it. And that can make a relationship between a 16 year old and a partner less than 10 years older legal. So they were six years apart, not 10 years apart. So technically, there was nothing illegal about them dating, honestly, even though it looked a little, you know, cringe. She said they fell in love immediately and that she knew he was the one. And four months after they met, they would try to make it official. They go to Las Vegas to the world-famous Little White Wedding Chapel. She's still 16. In the chapel, they know that because you have to show your birth certificate, and they turn the couple away. She's too young to get married in Las Vegas, and she said that Jason and her spent the weekend celebrating a marriage that wasn't really a marriage. and they would start living as a couple anyway. Now, it's notable to say her mother did not object to the attempt at marriage or the living situation that resulted. So let's go to January of 2004. Lauren, at this time, is 17, and she and Jason, they go bowling. Now, before you
34 think this is just a sweet date between two young lovers, let me tell you, it was not. Jason actually exposes himself to two women in that bowling alley, one of them being a teenager, and a witness would describe the incident, saying this in the incident report. And I'm just going to read this off the report. There are some things redacted, but you're going to get the point. It says Trish and I were standing at the snack bar and she came up and looked at my tattoo on my back. And at that point she said, look, my tattoo is fading and pulled her sock down. Then Jason said, I have a tattoo on my dick. Trish and I said, yeah, whatever.
20 And turned away to ignore him. Then Jason came up behind us and pulled his penis out of his pants and His thumb was covering the head and all I saw was the shaft. Trish and I turned away and went and told Larry, who must have been the manager of this place. I was standing at the snack bar because Jason was harassing us since we came in. They were being really strange all night. And keep in mind, y'all, this dude, Jason, is 24 years old at this time. So Garfield County Sheriff's deputies, they arrive and the manager of the bowling alley tells them that he had repeatedly asked Jason Boebert to leave the bowling alley, but that Boebert had refused to leave and had become belligerent. Boebert told the deputies he had not exposed his penis. but it stuck his thumb through the fly of his pants as a prank. Now, the witness that wrote this report, I just read you. She disputed that saying in her account, quote, I know that wasn't a thumb because thumbs aren't six inches long. Lauren Boebert told deputy she had not seen Jason Boebert expose himself. So, Jason gets arrested. He pleads guilty to public indecency and lewd exposure. He gets four days in jail, two years of probation, and the plea that he cops comes with some classes, alcohol, anger management, everything you would expect. Now, Lauren would say later that he needed those classes. She said that people later would
51 use the arrest to say awful things about him instead of saying a man made mistakes and then built a family. Now, shortly after this, she and Jason do break up, but by the next summer, they're back together, and she also becomes pregnant. She's 18 at this time, and she is a senior at Rifle High School. And she, at this point, drops out of school. So in March of 2005, still 18, they have a son. They name him Tyler. And in 2007, they finally married, she says, because of insurance reasons. And also in the summer of 2007, they have a second son and they named that son Brody. Now she writes in her autobiography that the first two deliveries were induced and they were quiet. Brody is six pounds, 12 ounces, healthy, and now healthy. That family is four people strong. So they go about life in Colorado. And on July 12th of 2009, they have a third son. They name him Caden.
57 And as she tells it, he was not born the typical way. She said labor went fast on the way to the hospital and they actually had to pull over and Lauren delivers in the front seat of Jason's pickup. And then they drive the rest of the way to the hospital with the newborn. They do have a fourth child. a fourth son. They named him Roman, and that baby was born at a home birth. This is in 2012. So four sons total before Lauren is 30. But let's go to 2013, and I'm going to tell you about Shooter's Grill in Rifle, Colorado. Now, this is the business that would make Lauren what you might call local famous, and then television famous. A restaurant with a Western theme. Burgers, a great name, and servers that open carry real firearms.
51 And I got to tell you, it was a hit. I want you to listen to this quick clip where the NRA did a very short interview with Lauren about her grill when Lauren was not even close to being a political force of any type. But she had some pretty good business acumen. Listen to this. When all the media attention came, it kind of was shocking. We didn't know what the. Big deal was. We carry firearms, we've done this the whole time, and nobody has thought twice about it. My favorite part about all of this media attention has been all the people that we've met. It's really been a joy to meet people from all over America that we would have never had the chance to meet. People that would have never known about our small town, they would have never known about Shooter's Grill, and they came in and I was able to laugh with people I would have never been able to and pray with them and really get to know them and their families And it's just been such a privilege to know so many people that I would have never had the chance to. I really enjoy hearing that people come in just because we carry guns. Obviously, our food and our service is what's going to keep them coming back. But I love that people are standing for what we stand for and that they're in agreement with us and that we're really standing for the right thing.
14 There's a lot of crazies out there, as far as I'm concerned. And I think the more women that can pack, the. Better off they'd be. It's comforting to know that there are places like this and there should be more. And if the bad guys knew that, you know, women carry guns too, maybe there wouldn't be so many bad guys out there. I believe in the hands of a responsible person that the Second Amendment is very important to protect your family, protect your community, protect yourself. And this owner is taking a stand and letting the statement be heard. We have to have insurance against a sickness that may or may not come. We have to insure our vehicle against an accident that may or may not happen. In owning a restaurant, I have to have fire extinguishers in case there's a fire that may or may not ignite. Yet, there are people who want to strip me of the right to protect my body, which to me is far more valuable than a car or a building. And really, I think that's something that we need to fight for more than anything. I really respect the NRA. I am a member of the NRA. My husband's a member. I really just honor what they do in standing for our rights to bear arms. The NRA may get attacked, but they're going to fight back. You know, Shooter's Grill may get attacked for carrying firearms, but we're going to fight back.
38 We certainly aren't. As large as the NRA, but if there are many of us who join together and we have the NRA that has our back and will go and fight the big fights for us, I really think that we could get something accomplished. So a few years later, some trouble hits on June 20th of 2015 at a country festival near Grand Junction, Colorado. She's there. She has the Shooter's Grill mobile operation on site. and Mesa County deputies are arresting juveniles for underage drinking. Now, Lauren starts yelling at that scene. Deputies say she will not stop in their report and that she was interfering, and they do cuff her for disorderly conduct. She yells that they did not read her Miranda rights. The arrest is illegal. She said she had friends, you know, in high places, and this is going to be a national story, and Fox News would be calling them. and her mother this whole time is trying to calm her down. She does get released at the scene with a summons to go to court, but she misses court, and that becomes its own problem. Failure to appear for that charge leads to an arrest, and the disorderly conduct charge that she was originally received a summons for That gets dropped. Now, her version of that story was she was looking for an employee who had not come back from a break.
04 She saw a girl being grabbed real hard by the police, and she took offense to it. A worker would tell a reporter she stepped in because the kids... were hers, meaning her restaurant employees. She had some other trouble in September of 2016 when she rolled a truck into a ditch. She gets careless driving tickets for that one. Lauren said one of her tires hit a boulder on a steep hill. She said she had no cell service and she had to walk a mile home before reporting it. She again did not show up for court. A warrant is issued and on February 13th, 2017, she gets picked up for that warrant. And she goes through the whole thing, mugshots, fingerprints, a little under two hours in a cell. She eventually pleads to unsafe vehicle driving, pays a fine and walks out.
53 So she's having some scrapes with the police, but nothing super serious. Now, In 2017, at a county fair, the Boeberts are catering this fair, and about 80 people get sick with food poisoning. The county health department ends up tracing this back to pork sliders from an unlicensed mobile stand, and specifically, Lauren Boebert's Smokehouse 1776 food troller. So she's got a problem and she's going to get in some trouble for that, at least on the civil side. Now, by this time, Shooter's, that grill that she owns, it is a hot place to be. A tourist stop for a culture war, if you will, like Ground Zero for freedom seekers. Very popular spot. And then it happened, y'all.
44 The one moment in time that you can trace back to everything that would occur in Lauren Boebert's life since. This occurred in September of 2019 in Aurora, Colorado. The same Aurora, Colorado that just a couple of years prior to that had that horrific movie theater shooting. I covered this in a prior episode where a bunch of people died. Same place. There was a town hall there. It was being held by Beto O'Rourke, who was running for president at that time. And he's talking about taking AR-15s and AK-47s off of the market. Lauren Boebert stands up in the middle of this town hall. Nobody knows who she is.
26 She has no political affiliation at all at this time as far as being in politics. She just owns a bar and grill. She stands up and she honestly decimates him on gun rights. And the clip of this goes viral. I mean, that clip moves. That's the first time people outside of her community hear Lauren Boebert's name. Now, a lot of things caught people's attention in that exchange. I already told you Lauren is very attractive and that was likely the first thing people noticed, but it was also the firmness of her message. She was pretty hard and it made her a national sensation overnight. I want you to hear this clip and I find it so interesting because were it not for like this 30 second exchange, I believe everything that happened since in Lauren Boebert's life would have never happened. So I'm going to play the clip.
23 And then as soon as you hear that clip, an interview she conducted with Fox News is going to follow that. Here's that clip. I am here to say hell no, you're not. I have four children, I'm five foot zero, 100 pounds, cannot really defend myself with a fist. I want to know how you're going to legislate that because a criminal by defense breaks the law. So all you're going to do is restrict law abiding citizens. like myself. That woman, Lauren Bober, joins us now live. Lauren, thank you for taking time. What happened? Why did you decide to go confront Beto?
03 Well, I heard that Beto was coming to my state of Colorado to talk about gun control or maybe gun legislation. And I heard what he had to say about taking away our Second Amendment rights and our firearms. And I really wanted to go down there and just reverse his statement and tell him absolutely not, because I'm sure that that is. Every gun-owning American's immediate response to his hell yes was an immediate, firm hell no. O'Rourke is going to various places in the country. That was Aurora, Colorado, where he went, of course, in 2012 at a movie theater. As a reporter, I was there covering it. Twelve people died, dozens more injured. But O'Rourke is painting the picture, Lauren, that everyone is ready now at this point to support him in this gun legislation.
56 What do you say? That is absolutely false. And honestly, shame on him for coming to Colorado to expound upon our tragedies. Those are our victims. And he came here to paint a picture for his own campaign trail. And really, shame on you, sir, for doing that. We were here. We experienced those losses. That was a community loss. And honestly, those victims were defenseless. There were criminals that did those horrible acts. And by definition, those criminals do not obey the laws. So there is no legislation that you can pass that is going to stop the evil in a man's heart. If he has a desire to go out and harm someone, he will find a way to do that. And I say he loosely just as a term of a person. But yeah, if they have that desire to cause harm, it will be done no matter what kind of weapon they choose to use.
55 Lauren, your shirt says Shooters Grill. That's your restaurant there. What do the patrons of your restaurant there in Colorado and yourself believe the administration should do while this discussion over gun legislation is in the media? Our current administration absolutely needs to take a stand now, today, and say we will honor the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States. We support our president. I love my president. And I implore him, please protect our Second Amendment. We elected you to do just that. We don't want anything inched away because every little thing that's on the chopping block eventually will lead to no ownership of firearms in America. Right now, there's an extreme way to carry, which is open carry, how I prefer. It's not for everyone.
45 That's fine. Right now, that's on the chopping block. And what happens when that's done away with? Then it's concealed carry. That's the new extreme way to carry. And that's on the chopping block next. So really, our administration, please, please do not do anything but honor our Second Amendment. All right. Lauren Beaubord, thank you. For joining us. Can change your life. And this was the birth of political ambition for Lauren Boebert. Now, as you may imagine, powerful Republicans in Colorado, they see this clip and they see opportunity. But there's a problem. Lauren doesn't even have a GED. So she quickly gets one. And in 2020, Lauren Boebert is running for Congress in Colorado's 3rd District.
37 A huge western map. Mountains, farms, energy towns, ski money on one side, small communities on the other. The man who owns the current seat in that particular district is a guy by the name of Scott Tipton. Now this is a five-term congressman, very established Republican. As a matter of fact, Donald Trump had been in his corner in his election prior to this. Now here's Lauren Boebert's first 32nd campaign spot. I believe when we help others, we all succeed. For years, I volunteered to counsel at-risk women at the Garfield County Jail. After their release, some lived with my family and others I offered jobs. Because showing compassion, creating opportunity, providing a good paying job is far more powerful than a government handout could ever be. I'm Lauren Boebert. I'm running for Congress and I approve this message.
36 So spring 2020 is also the pandemic. Governor Jared Polis has shut down dining rooms. Shooter's Grill does not stay shut. Lauren Boebert opens for dine-in. Garfield County sends a cease and desist order to her. Remember, in COVID, they were hard on the restaurants, right? But she doesn't treat it like a stop sign. She moves all her tables onto the sidewalk and into parking spots. The county doesn't like that, so they suspend her food license. And by late May, the state kind of eases those restrictions. When that happens, they drop all their charges against Lauren Boebert's establishment. And she has what a candidate wants more than a clean health file. She has a story that she can use in her campaign. Government told her sit down and she said no. So on June 30th of 2020 in the Republican primary, Lauren Boebert actually wins the congressional seat against a five term Republican. And that is insane. She ended up with 58,678 votes, 54%. to Scott Tipton's 48,805 votes or 45.4%. So she didn't only beat him, she beat him pretty good. You're talking 10,000 votes. Unbelievable that an incumbent with a decade in the seat loses by nine points to a restaurant owner with a microphone as her
08 primary source of communication. Trump congratulated her. The national press discovers her. And the general election was against Democrat Diane Bush. That was in November. And she actually wins that race. So on January of 2021, she is sworn into office and the first woman to hold Colorado's third district. At this time, she's just 34 years old. In Washington, she joins the hard right of the House. They're known as the Freedom Caucus. And for the next couple of years, she becomes a voice for gun rights and COVID restrictions and becomes very popular. And in 2022, she wants a second term. Now, Republicans in that district, they were against her, a lot of them, and they have a guy that they try to primary her against. And his name is Don Corum. He runs against her in the primary, but she does beat him. She beats him handedly, two to one on the votes. However, the general, surprisingly, would become a problem for her. Adam Frisch is a Democrat. He's from Aspen. He's a former city councilman. She's running against him.
21 He's very well known, very experienced. And she struggled. She barely beat him with, get this, 50.08% of the vote. She had 163, 832 votes. He had 163, 278 votes. Very close. 446 votes, as a matter of fact. That's all that separated them. Also in the middle of that year, Shooter's Grill, her barn grill, turns out she didn't own the building. Someone else owned the building. They end up selling that building to another owner, and that new owner doesn't renew her lease. And that restaurant brand completely closes. So the congresswoman at this time is a full-time congresswoman. Now, also in 2022, the first sex scandal hits when a PAC, and that's a political action committee called the American Muckrakers or Rackers, they accuse Lauren Boebert of formerly being an escort on a sugar daddy website called sugardaddymeat.com. And they also accused her of having two abortions, which Lauren Boebert spoke out heavy against abortions. Now, Boebert has denied these allegations, and the PAC then recanted most of their accusations. So I don't put any stock in it whatsoever, but it did happen. It was an accusation. Something that led to a restraining order, as a matter of fact, that we'll talk about later on. 2023, not much better for Lauren,
53 at least as it relates to scandals. On April 25th of that year in Mesa County, Colorado, a petition for divorce is filed when Lauren Boebert asked a court to end her marriage that started when she was a teenager in that Burger King. She lists the reasons as irreconcilable differences. She's 36 at this time. Her husband is 42 at this time. They have four sons and it seems like things might be unraveling for her. Her son, Tyler, who is 18, he's expecting a child with his girlfriend. So young Lauren Boebert is about to be a grandmother. Now, Jason, he eventually gets served these divorce documents. And as a matter of fact, the person who served him those documents said he didn't take it too well. He started yelling profanity and told the server he was trespassing. May 11th of that year, more filings, mediation, financial disclosure. And on May 16th, Lauren Boebert puts a statement out, and she says, It is with a heavy weight on my heart that I have announced my impending divorce. I am grateful for our years of marriage together and our beautiful children. I've always been faithful in my marriage, and I believe strongly in marriage, which makes this announcement that much more difficult.
15 This is truly about irreconcilable differences, and I will continue my work as a representative for my sprawling Western Slope district. I do not intend to discuss the matter further out of respect for our children. The next day, she had to release another statement because all of this stuff was coming out about how Jason totally flipped out when he found out this divorce was going to happen. And she issued a follow-up statement and she said, the stories reported about the process server and even Jason running over our mailbox are a complete lie. Jason doesn't sit around cleaning guns, and he certainly doesn't drink beer out of a glass, just as much as he doesn't drink Bud Light. Our own home security footage showed he didn't sick dogs on the process server. The dogs were outside when the server pulled up. They never showed aggression toward him, nor did he appear afraid of them. Our divorce is a private matter, but misrepresentations must be addressed. Jason deserves his privacy, not slanderous stories. Despite what others may say, I welcome your thoughts and heartfelt prayers for our family. So apparently all of the things I just read you were accusations by the next day. That tells you how big of a story this is. Everything's kind of quiet after that until September 10th of 2023. And that is when shit hits the van for Lauren Boebert. We're going to go to Buell Theater in Denver and Beetlejuice the musical. Now she
46 is four months into a public divorce. She's one month short of that divorce decree. The man seated next to her at this musical is not Jason. His name is Quinn Gallagher, and he is an Aspen bar owner and, shockingly, a Democrat. And Lauren and this guy are on a date. Now, important to mention this, very important. Lauren is definitely dressed well in this. And, you know, we're all adults. She's in a very tight gold dress, and her breasts... are very pushed up, almost coming out of the top, if you will. They go watch this production, it gets dark, and incidentally, all this is on video, y'all, so I'm not guessing at what may have occurred. As a matter of fact, if you're a Patreon member, You're going to see this video on the Patreon, but she's definitely putting off vibe here. They start vaping and then she starts like dancing and stuff. It's almost like she was drunk.
46 Then the two go at it in this theater. And I mean, full of people. It was sold out. This guy, y'all, is practically pulling her boobs out of her dress. And then Lauren Boebert, she moves on. Both of her hands down to his pants, not in his pants, but she is rubbing. Well, it appears she's rubbing his penis through his pants, not in his pants, up and down. And you know exactly what is going on there. So does the audience because they complained to staff. So staff approaches them. They get pulled out of there. And there is actually footage of them leaving. And she don't even look, like, embarrassed, y'all.
33 And as I said, this ain't rumor. This was caught on video. So on September 15th, she actually apologizes for this when TMZ catches up with her at the airport. And she says this to TMZ. Hi, button. Ultimately, all future date nights have been canceled. And I learned to check party affiliations before you go on a date. But all in all, you know, it was mostly a lovely time. And, you know, I've taken responsibility for my actions. I'd love to know how the musical ended. And I encourage people to go and see it. But, yeah, it was a great time back in the district.
14 Seeing voters and. So how are the voters taking it? How are the voters taking it right now? Are they understanding at this moment? Yeah, there's a lot of folks who are certainly understanding. And they understand that it was a part of my personal life, my private time, something that I really indulge in. And yeah. So 2024, not any better for Lauren as it relates to her family scandals. In February of that year, her 18-year-old son, Tyler, he's in the news. Police say he was involved in a string of car break-ins with IDs taken from parked vehicles. There's surveillance video of credit cards being used that he stole out of these vehicles for food. to buy gas, stuff like that. He's arrested on four felony counts of criminal possession of ID documents involving multiple victims, y'all, and some other charges. And mom releases a statement there, says she loves him. It breaks her heart that she's not going to give up on him.
16 And he is an adult and should be held accountable. Now, on October 2024, he pleaded guilty to just one count, which was attempted ID theft. a class five felony, and he gets what's known as a two-year deferred judgment. So basically that means you get two years in jail unless you can keep your nose clean. But he doesn't keep his nose clean. In a separate county, his own small son, which is Lauren's grandson, is found wandering unattended more than once. while in Tyler's care, including once from Lawrence, Colorado home. He pleads guilty to child abuse and neglect without injury on this case. And the recommendation is a short jail sentence, probation and parenting classes. That plea is also a problem because of that deferred theft plea that he had already taken. Remember, he had to stay out of trouble. So on September 10th of 2026, Garfield County sentences him in that ID theft case because now he's got to face the music on that. And he gets 20 days in jail with work release. Now, the judge asked in that case about a newer sex charge that was sitting on a docket.
34 And you may wonder what that's about because I didn't mention it. Well. He was also arrested on August 9th for five separate charges. Investigators said that on February 1st of 2024, he had recorded sexual activity with a girl he was dating. He was 18. She was 17, about 11 months younger than him, three weeks, y'all, from his 18th birthday. She reported a recording existed to police not long after. Later reporting said her mother told police a clip had appeared on Instagram. And remember, Colorado's age of consent, 17, so a 17-year-old can legally have sex with an 18-year-old under that consent statute. However, recording that sex or circulating that recording, that's a crime.
23 That's a totally different crime. And the exploitation statute is about the material, not the act. So while it was legal for them to have sex, it was not legal for him to tape that sex and not tell her about it. And that's why he is arrested in this case. Now, as of now, he's only accused. He's not convicted of these crimes. And that's important to mention. So she's going through it, Lauren Boebert, as of this time. But it would get worse for her right now in 2026. As a matter of fact, just a few days from this recording, the world flipped as it relates to Lauren Boebert as she is accused in an ethics complaint of having affairs.
03 with three staffers, including two women, and that she paid one of those women $ 200, 000 to keep from speaking out. The complaint was filed September 17th, and it alleges that Boebert, who is now 39, have relationships with three house employees under her direct supervision. The complaint names former District Director Clarice Navarro Ratzlaff, as well as District Chief Raven Finnegan and former Chief of Staff Jeffrey Small as the three people involved in these affairs with Boebert. They allege she violated House rules that prohibits members from having sexual relationships with their own staff. Now, additionally, the complaint alleges that Navarro, who is a former Colorado State Rep, received a $ 200, 000 payment arranged by Boebert to prevent her from filing her own ethics complaint. This report went on to say that Clarice Navarro, who is a female, and Boebert had sexual encounters during official office hours, after hours, on weekends in Colorado and outside of Colorado, in Boebert's district office in Colorado, and in a vehicle for which Ms. Navarro received mileage reimbursements and in hotel rooms paid for by Boebert's campaign.
23 It also says that the husband of Ms. Navarro-Raslap learned of the relationship between Boebert and his wife, and the marriage ended in divorce. Then it goes on to talk about Raven Finnegan, who is the district chief of staff, or was for her, and also female. and Boebert engaged in a romantic and sexual relationship while Ms. Finnegan was a House employee under her supervision in states publicly posted photographs document their extensive personal association, including joint travel and personal social events. And it also goes on to say Jeffrey Small, a male who was her chief of staff during her marriage until 2025, also had a sexual relationship while he was a house employee under Boebert's supervision. So, The concerning thing here, outside of the obvious, is that all these people that she's accused of having these relationships with overlap her marriage, if I'm not mistaken. And look, it can be total BS. Politics, y'all, is ugly. But I think they have some proof of that $ 200, 000 payment.
36 I'm not sure about that, but it seems like they would. But you got to be careful with this political shit. Now, Boebert has responded and said, quote, Well, I'm not a lesbian or bisexual, and I have never, ever been in any inappropriate relationship, nor have I ever been sexually involved with any staff. Her office went on to say the claims are utterly false, saying it's important to note, and this is important. that Boebert has a restraining order against the man behind the complaint. And guess who the man is? American muck rackers leader David Wheeler since 2022 is how long she's had this restraining order. And yep, y'all, that's the same guy who accused her of escort allegations. Her office went on to say, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert rejects these allegations as false and there is no truth to them whatsoever.
31 They came from an activist who has long recycled sensational claims, including numerous baseless allegations previously fact-checked as false. And I'm going to tell you what, when I found out who was behind it, I don't believe that shit either. I think it's a lie. Plain and simple. The only part of me that says this has some possibility of some truth somewhere is three other people are involved. And so I don't know where this is going to end up, but I will definitely keep you posted. But there you have it. Politics is ugly AF. And this one has made all the news this week.
