The YDA team had lost track of the killer, Gabriel, after he disappeared through a portal after sacrificing Shiro to help bring back his master. Lost in his grief, Ren had shut himself away for a year in an alcoholic stupor. After a letter addressed to Black from Gabriel appears at the YDA, he is pulled back into the fray with a new partner assignment in rookie Hiro Akashi. Will the two be able to work together to track Gabriel down, or will the past catch up to them first?
