NEW Poster Artwork, Podcast Awards Nomination, and Ancient City Recap
As our team takes the time to recover from the full weekend at Ancient City Con in St. Augustine, spending time with our friend and colleague, Chugs, and coming home and resting from COVID as I type this, the Cactus Crew has had a full time these past couple of weeks.
We have been nominated to the final slate for The People's Choice Podcast Awards this year! This is an incredible honor that came out of nowhere, so thank you to all that had voted for us to make it even that far. We will be hosting a link to the ceremony's Livestream when it's available on September 28th!

How gorgeous is this new work from our art team?? We have a solid look at our main villain, Gabriel, taunting our heroes from the mists. Prints of this work will be available soon on our shop, so stay tuned for updates on our socials.
As always, any new artwork we display is protected from AI use. If any of our works are found anywhere but official channels or associated artists socials, don't hesitate to reach out to us.
ACC '25 Recap
Ancient City Con was an interesting time for our team. This was our second time having attended this show, having moved from the Artist Alley last year to the Exhibitor Hall. Given that booth prices had risen, we were hoping for more foot traffic than had occurred. We did get to see more creative friends of ours, including Nick Savage, who set up nearby. While I tend to the booth during shows, Tragedy did get to speak with the legend Doug Jones, and explain the nightmares he caused me after she showed me Pan's Labyrinth, to which he answered: "...it was an honor." We also, for fun, set up a collection offering for our fake caged Labubu / LaBaby from Five Below. We've been joking around that it made out better than we did!
Overall, the show was not as well attended as we would have liked it to be. There was another show that weekend, and the weather did stay fair enough, but from what we had seen, the show we felt had outgrown its location. The Snowbirds have been making their way into the area as of late, and being hosted at a golf resort does up that type of traffic.
There also were the incidents of the power in the event hall fluctuating throughout the show, and that we were placed directly across from someone selling AI artwork. I had already done my research and sent an evidenced email to the show organizers about this person but have yet to hear back, so all in due time, hopefully.
All-in-all, we did have fun at the show and got to meet a lot of new people. We've already attained a number of new listeners as we continue production on Season 2, and with the new artwork getting good feedback so far, we have high hopes for this next chapter in our journey.
Thanks for sticking with us and we'll see you on the other side.
