After the loss of his partner during a brutal case caused him to drown in his grief, Detective Black resurfaces to the same case and a new partner.

As Black reluctantly has to make this return to the Yokai Detective Agency, with his new partner in tow, Akashi gets the chance to meet his new colleagues and gains more understanding of the Gabriel case.
