Robbe Reddinger BigRun Media Marketing Manager
Robbe recently wrote a compelling piece for Runner's World Magazine about an curios observation noticed while on Strava.  The story was inspired by a book he'd just finished reading entitled "Not In My Neighborhood" written by Antero Pietila.  Pietila spent 35years with the Baltimore Sun.  "Baltimore is the setting for (and typifies) one of the most penetrating examinations of bigotry and residential segregation every published in the United States".   While viewing the city on Strava he was amazed to see the White L and Black Butterfly a phrase coined by  Morgan State Assistant Lawrence Brown.  "Baltimore's so segregated, even Strava shows it.  These runners want to change that". Robbe is part of the Faster Bastards a running crew based in Baltimore that runs along the Baltimore harbor and other parts of the city with the RIOT Squad and the Black Running Organization. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/derek-oxley/support
