Lizzo and Jillian Debate: I love Your Music But Not Your Butt...

Lizzo and Jillian Debate: I love Your Music But Not Your Butt...
On Friday, I spent the night at my sister's house, in the morning while trying to convince her to put a pot of coffee on, the conversion turned towards Jillian Michaels and her online spat with Al Roker and Lizzo.  When did we start obsessing over black bodies or should I say more specifically, fat female black peoples bodies?  When did fat become chic?  Was it when some magazine editor decided to place a fat person on the cover?  The recent controversy made me wonder, why does fatness on display offended so many people?  Where does the fear and hatred disguised as health concern stem from?  Should fat people be confined, to fat farms, run by Nazi type fitness instructors, like Jillian Michaels, who keeps it real with her, in your face Gestapo style and caffeine supplements?  Only after the inmates shedded their weight and came down to a size that was mutually acceptable by society would they be released from these camps. I mean who should be the judge and jury? What should there be there qualifications be to sit in judgment of the rest of us? --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/derek-oxley/support
