Jon Castro Interview: Take Your Job and Love It…

Take Your Job and Love It…

How to transition from being an employee to being a BOSS

If your interested in hearing how to take your current job and love it, tune into this episode, if your know of someone that could benefit for this shift in mindset please share it. I’ll share specific takeaways on how you can “Take Your Job and Love It” in a Medium post.

I met Jon in my local DD at the time he worked the evening shift, his attention to detail and sense of purpose piqued my interest. If the tables or restroom needed cleaning and they were short staffed he did it, he was constantly in motion during his shift; when he delegated task to his team, he didn’t bark out orders, he provided direction.

I’d come in grab a cup of coffee, a muffin, sit in the corner and work on my blog. After about year or so we got to talking about running, that’s when I found out his father was Miguel Castro. Miguel is the guy, along with Sean who talked me into doing my first marathon-talk about the world being small.

Jon’s character and work ethic as an employee is what prepared him for opening his own business.

Retail is a Petri dish where you get to practice your leadership and customers service skills, in time they will flourish if you diligently practice, every interaction is an opportunity for you to master your craft. I hope you enjoy this episode.
