Voicemails let your audience talk back. A small widget on your website lets any listener record a voice message for you — feedback, questions, or stories you can even play in a future episode.
Available on the Pro plan and above.
How to turn on voicemails
- In your dashboard, go to Engage Listeners → Receive Voicemails.
- Open the Settings tab and turn the widget on.
- Click Save. A microphone button appears in the corner of your website.
How it works for listeners
Visitors click the microphone button, record their message right in the browser, and send it — no app or phone number needed. Messages can be up to 120 seconds long by default, and you can change the maximum length in the settings.
Customizing the widget
In the voicemail Settings you can:
- Choose the widget style — a button in the corner or a tab on the side of the page.
- Edit the welcome and thank-you messages listeners see.
- Require a name or email address with each message.
- Add a disclaimer — for example, permission to play the message on your show.
- Set the maximum recording length.
Listening to your voicemails
You get an email whenever a listener leaves a voicemail, and every message is saved in the Voicemail Inbox in your dashboard.
Tip: Ask a question on air and invite listeners to answer by voicemail — then play the best responses in a future episode.
