But unnamed sources claim Meghan has no interest in waiting for a royal invitation that might never arrive.

03 Caloroga Shark Media. Hello and welcome to Palace Intrigue. I am your host, Mark Francis. Meghan Markle has been urged to lean into her Hollywood celebrity status and forget her royal title following her return to Britain with Prince Harry. The advice comes from commentator Nick Eade, who thought the Nottingham outing worked better than Meghan's recent appearance with Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala in London. He said... I think this was far better than her photo op with Malala, which looked very contrived. She's a Hollywood celebrity and she needs to play more into that and forget her title. Megan and Ellen DeGeneres could team up on a television program or podcast, according to a report in Closer Weekly.
48 Closer's source says, A lot of people have suggested that Megan would be a great TV talk show host and that teaming up with Ellen on some type of joint project, whether it's on screen or a podcast, would make a whole heap of sense for them both. Certainly Megan's not opposed to it, and Ellen would consider it very carefully too. Its source says, Megan grew up watching The Ellen Show, listening to her stand-up comedy, and says it's nothing short of a travesty that she was forced off air. In many ways, it reminds Megan of her own situation, where she's been totally unfairly judged and found guilty through a trial by media. The loyalty and respect goes both ways. Ellen loves Megan like a sister, and if she helps her with a favor, then she'll do so without hesitation.
32 Harry and Meghan are reportedly planning six more public appearances following their visit to Nottingham, with one unnamed source describing the proposed outings as a revenge tour. One person described as a royal insider tells Rob Shooter, This isn't about reconciliation anymore. It's revenge. They know every appearance irritates the palace. That's not an unfortunate side effect. It's part of the fun. The suggestion is that the Sussexes want the familiar presentation of a royal visit, the walkabouts, the greetings and the photographs while organising the occasions themselves. Tom Bauer claims Queen Camilla understood Meghan Markle's influence over Prince Harry from the beginning and believes that influence remains as strong as ever. Speaking to Tom Sykes on the Royalist podcast, the biographer described Harry as brainwashed. Bauer said, He was smitten. Meghan had him dangling very quickly, I'd say, within the first 24 hours after they met, and he's still brainwashed. Camilla, who was an experienced woman about town who's seen a thing or two in her life, a sensible, good English countrywoman, knows exactly what other women are up to. She can suss it up. She can suss what Harry and Meghan especially are doing now, and she's probably quite rightly thinks that he's still brainwashed, he's still doing what he's ordered.
44 Meghan especially loves to be in the papers every day, whether it's taking tea at carriages or appearing in some Instagram. That's all going to dry up soon, and then she'll be desperate. She'll be looking around, how can I attract attention? Because of course she is, and always has been, an extraordinary attention seeker. and he has run out of charities to visit, so they're in a bit of sort of a desert at the moment of what to do. Bower also claimed the couple have different feelings about life in Britain, particularly Harry's interest in country pursuits. Harry very much wants invitations to shoot. He loves the idea of partridges and pheasants falling around his ankles. And, of course, she hates that. She hates everything about our isles. She'd like much more to be on the beach in California, but she has to put up with it. Harry had hoped for a family Christmas in Britain, but Meghan wants to spend the holidays in California with her mother, according to a report from Radar Online. A source said, Harry has desperately wanted to remain in Britain, believing Christmas offered a rare opportunity to rebuild his relationship with King Charles if his grandchildren could be involved in a visit. Harry had been clinging to the idea that Christmas might finally provide the breakthrough he's been waiting for with his royal family. He imagined being able to spend some proper time with his father, having the children around their grandfather and perhaps starting to put years of bitterness behind them. He knows things can't be fixed overnight, but he felt the festive season could have given everyone an excuse to lower their defences. The thought of another Christmas passing without that happening is absolutely crushing for him, particularly because he fills time with his father is precious. According to the same source, Megan has
17 a completely different outlook on the situation. As far as she's concerned, they've spent far too long trying to win over people who have made very little effort to welcome them back. She doesn't want to spend the holidays feeling uncomfortable, wondering whether they're going to be invited somewhere or worrying about how they'll be treated if they do turn up. In California, she can surround herself with people who genuinely want to celebrate with them, including her mother, and give the children a relaxed, happy Christmas. Harry understands why that appeals to her, and he doesn't want to force him into a situation she dreads, but that doesn't make it any easier for him to accept that the family reunion he was dreaming of probably isn't going to happen. One of Harry's biggest concerns is how Charles will interpret the decision to head back to America as it inevitably means he'll be going with Meghan. He's terrified it will look as though they've given up on rebuilding bridges and are simply walking away because things haven't gone their way. That's the exact opposite of what Harry wants his father to believe.
10 He's desperate for Charles to understand that he still wants a relationship with him and being part of the family remains incredibly important. Harry also knows that every missed Christmas, birthday or family gathering makes the distance between them feel greater. He's trying to support Meghan and present a united front, but privately he's struggling with the fear that this decision could push her reconciliation even further out of reach. Heatwald's sources add, Harry's very disappointed. In his mind, they could have brought Doria to their Cotswolds home and perhaps still scored an invite to see his father or his late mother's family, the Spencers, as a backup, but Meghan wasn't having any of it. Harry did his best to persuade Meghan they should stay, but she wasn't prepared to sit around and be humiliated waiting to see if the royals would extend an invite. It was the perfect excuse to book a flight back to the US, and Harry ultimately didn't have much choice but to follow. The fact that Harry's spent virtually no time with the king since arriving in the UK looks terrible, but Harry insists he's tried and been rebuffed. His hope was that they would make some special Christmas moments with his father this year as a family, but Meghan's not budging. She cannot bear the idea of struggling through a phony Christmas with the royal family.
21 She's going home and Harry has agreed to it to make her happy, but he did it with a heavy heart. They are all about putting on a unified front, so he's saving face and telling people this was always the plan, but everyone knows he had his heart set on an English Christmas. The fact is he's still holding out hope Meghan will change her mind, but that's not going to happen. She's already making plans. She wants to host a holiday party and she can't wait to see her mum and is very excited. More Palace in just a moment. In the news.com.au, Daniela also writes, On December 1st, as most of us are shoving our first rubbishy supermarket advent calendar chocolate in our gobs, at least 1,001 people will be enjoying a handcrafted chocolate calligraphed in edible gold using the personal penmanship of Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex. We know this thanks to a new report that claims to have cracked the Rosetta Stone that is just how much the Duchess-as-ever lifestyle range is making. Ever since it launched in April 2025, a sunlit Californian fantasy of crisp white linen and serenely hand-curated lemons, the company has never released sales figures.
29 Many have wondered, is Meghan shifting her jams by forklifted pallet or by single solitary jar? Now we have some indication, thanks to the sleuthing of the Daily Mail's Alison Boshoff, who has reported on her sub-stack that in the last month, Meghan has shifted more than 300 jars of flower sprinkles, a combined $ 6, 300 dollars, more than 700 jars of honey, bringing in at least 31,000, more than 2,500 jars of jam, worth at least 43,000, and more than 375 candles at upwards of 34,000. Boshoff went to Shopify analysts at Winning Hunter, which said that based on as-ever website views and other metrics, their estimate was that as-ever was bringing in between 1.1 and 1.9 million a year. However, a friend of the Sussexes told her that chopped data is incomplete and doesn't give a true picture, so perhaps no matter the figures now, Jam Incorporated has already laid a nice fat golden egg that is earning compound interest. In the meantime, there have been reports that As Ever is set to expand to the UK, but that might not exactly equate to vastly more zeros being added to spreadsheets, given how divisively the Duchess of Sussex is viewed there. Is Britain ready to be decorated with thoroughly strewn flower sprinkles? I can think of One queen and her Jack Russells, for whom it will be a very firm no. And there you have it.
