In a second stunning announcement of the day, Buckingham Palace has issued a statement revealing that King Charles will be admitted to hospital next week. This news follows the announcement that Kate Middleton underwent surgery today and will be taking a break from her royal duties for several months.
The Palace stated, “In common with thousands of men each year, The King has sought treatment for an enlarged prostate. His Majesty's condition is benign and he will attend hospital next week for a corrective procedure. The King’s public engagements will be postponed for a short period of recuperation.”
