Marvin Jones: Mentorship in Professional Sports

Marvin Jones reveals the importance of mentoring and supporting athletes as a coach. Listen in as Jen and Marvin discuss how the NFL is like a corporation, how athletes can stay competitive in their roles, and why it’s important for a team to share a winning mindset.

Marvin Jones is a retired professional football player who played middle linebacker in the NFL for 11 seasons. Marvin played college football at Florida State University (FSU) and was drafted in the first round of the 1993 draft (4th overall) by the New York Jets where he played for his entire career. Beyond the NFL, Marvin has been a football coach for many organizations including serving as the head coach for the Cedar Rapids Titans of the Indoor Football League. Marvin is currently the head coach of the Omaha Beef of the Champions Indoor Football league. Marvin was inducted in the FSU Hall of Fame in 2000.
