Dexter McCluster: Making Lasting Impressions in Professional Sports

Dexter McCluster shares the key lessons he’s learned as he transitioned from high school, college, and professional football into the business world. Listen in as Jen and Dexter discuss creating a strong support system, how to handle overwhelming adversity, and why first, second, and every day impressions matter on and off the field.

Dexter is a retired American football running back who played college football for the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). While playing college football, Dexter was the only player in SEC history to rush for 1000+ yards and receive for 500+ yards in a single season. Dexter was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2010 NFL Draft (as the 36th overall pick) by the Kansas City Chiefs. During his 7 seasons in the NFL, Dexter played for the Kansas City Chiefs, the Tennessee Titans, and the San Diego Chargers. He also played in the CFL for the Toronto Argonauts and in the Indoor Football League with the Massachusetts Pirates.
