S6E96: Murder In His Family Early In his Law Enforcement Career.

Murder For Hire In His Family During The Early Days of his Law Enforcement Career.
The bizarre crime and impact on him. Policing in Southern California and a stint as a member of the Real Hawaii 5-0 Police. His novels and more.

While he was a Police Cadet in Southern California, his Aunt who had been selling Heroine had her husband, his uncle, murdered by a contract killer. David Putnam talks about the murder, his family dynamics at the time and it's impact on him. He also talks about his career policing in Southern California and later becoming a member of the real Hawaii 5-0.

During his law enforcement career, “Deputy Dave” Putnam worked primarily in California on teams for Patrol, Investigations, SWAT, Narcotics (street level and majors), Violent Crimes, Criminal Intelligence, Internal Affairs and the Detective Bureau. He rounded out his law enforcement career with a few years in the Hawaiian Islands as a Special Agent–part of a real-life “Hawaii-50” team. He’s now retired from law enforcement and is an award wining novelist.
