✨ Remember: divorce may bend you, but it does not break you. You are stronger than you think, and your bold new chapter starts now. ✨
Welcome to another episode of Bent Not Broken. Heartbreak and trauma may feel like the end of your story, but here it's the beginning of a bold new chapter. I'm your host, Coach Deborah Griffiths, and this is the space where women rise, rebuild, and rediscover their purpose. Remember this truth. You are bent, not broken. Trigger warning. This episode contains references to traumatic experiences, emotional abuse, and suicide ideation. Please take care of your mental and emotional well-being while listening. If you are struggling, you are not alone. Resources are available to support you. Hello and welcome back to this special bonus episode of Bent Not Broken. I'm Coach Deborah, and today I want to take a moment to coach you through some of the deeper themes that came up in my conversation with John J. Wiley on Law Enforcement Talk Radio. If my story felt heavy, it's because it was. But if it gave you hope, that's exactly why I shared it. There was a moment in my life when the pain became so loud that I could no longer hear my own voice. I woke up in a psychiatric ward believing my life was over. But what I didn't yet know was that it was actually beginning. And I share this because some of you listening right now are still standing in the middle of your storm. You might be navigating separation, living through emotional or physical abuse, healing from gaslighting, or wondering how you're supposed to rebuild your identity after divorce. Let me give you your first coaching truth. What broke you does not get to define you. The environment I was in did not make me broken. It exposed me to a truth that needed healing. And that same may be true for you. Coaching moment number one, awareness is power. Ask yourself this. Is my current environment honoring my healing or harming it? You don't need all of the answers today. Just honesty. Leaving isn't easy. Starting over isn't comfortable, and sometimes it's terrifying. But neither is staying in a place that slowly erases who you are. Coaching moment number two, reclaim your voice. If you've been silenced, minimized, or manipulated, your homework today is simple. Say one honest truth out loud, on paper, or in your journal. Just one. It could be I matter. I deserve peace. This ends with me. Write it, believe it, repeat it. Coaching moment number three. Create one anchor habit. During heartbreak recovery, your brain craves safety. So I want you to create one small daily ritual that tells your nervous system I am safe now. That could be drinking water when you wake up, a five-minute walk, prayer or meditation, or writing one page in your journal. Healing is not big, flashy steps. It is small, consistent ones. Coaching moment number four, redefine strength. Strength is not surviving one more day in pain. Strength is choosing peace over chaos, even when it's unfamiliar. You are not just healing, you are rebuilding your identity. And yes, that includes healing from broken relationships, letting go of shame, navigating life after divorce, finding new beginnings, and when the time is right, rediscovering love. This is the work I do inside Broken to Boldness and through my living bold coaching programs. You are not meant to do this alone. If you're ready for support, guidance, and community, I invite you to join me. The link is in the show notes. But for now, let me leave you with this. You are not broken. You are becoming, you are rising, and you are worthy of a life that feels peaceful, powerful, and true. Until next time, remember, you may be bent, but you will never be broken. Thank you for listening to today's episode of Bent Not Broken. I hope that this episode reminded you that even through life's toughest moments, you are bent, not broken.
