Dhyana Levey: newspaper journalist, writer, and host of the Generation Cult podcast. Join Rachel and Dhyana as they discuss how Dhyana grew up on a commune run by the United Lodge of Theosophists. The group was led by the mysterious guru Raghavan, and based upon the teachings of the Russian spiritual medium Madame Blavatsky and the Irish-American mystic and occultist William Quan Judge. The two dive into growing up under the structures of a cult that isn't cloistered from society-- as well as the importance of self-care, and how she still struggles with the fear of letting the group down long after it was disbanded.
