Rachel Bernstein
Host & Founder
Rachel Bernstein has been working with former cult members and their families for nearly 30 years. She works with people all over the world and meets with clients in her office in Los Angeles. She also runs a weekly former cult member support group. Rachel is on the Advisory Board of the International Cultic Studies Association, and has spoken at many of their conferences. She co-led the 8-week “Building Bridges” online course with Patrick Ryan and Joseph Kelly. Along with being a member of the Advisory Board for the Open Minds Foundation, and its flagship program, EduCARE, she is host of the weekly “IndoctriNation Podcast” and makes educational YouTube videos. Robert Van Vranken

Robert Van Vranken is a Freelance Podcast Producer and Editor from Minneapolis, MN, best known for his work with The Cipher and Indoctrination Podcasts. The podcasts he has worked on have been covered in O The Oprah Magazine, Vulture, Slate, Paste, and many more. Robert has worked on shows by notable musicians Jolie Holland and Open Mike Eagle, and edited for popular podcasts such as Capitol Allocators and Brooklyn Mag Podcast.
Andrew Pledger
Social Media Manager
Andrew Pledger is a religious trauma survivor who brings awareness to spiritual and religious abuse. Being a part of the LGBTQ+ community, and experiencing religious trauma has inspired him to pursue psychology to help survivors. He is an influencer on the rise and his vocation started with a controversial interview with Josh Harris (Kissed Dating Goodbye, author). He's appeared on several podcasts to share his story and he continues to use social media to bring awareness. He is working on finishing his bachelor's degree in General Studies: Concentration in Psychology. When he's not on social media he's working on his book and podcast.
