S4E1: How To Live a Life Driven By Love, Not Fear

Are you living in fear of sin? 

This may not be easy to pinpoint in your own life right away, so here are some questions to ask yourself:

- are you terrified that your spouse will look at porn?

- does the possibility of your children being exposed to various sins keep you awake at night?

- do you find yourself spending a lot of energy trying to control other people's choices?

Laura Krause is a wife, mom, prayer warrior & church planter who has been set free from fear's grip on her life by the perfect love of Christ. She shares the story of how the Lord completely changed her perspective: Our goal is not to build sin-proof marriages. Our goal is not to prevent our kids from being exposed to anything immoral. 

The goal should be to create such safe and loving relationships, that sin will not destroy them.

When we live in anxiety and fear of sin, we elevate sin itself instead of Christ and His redemptive work on the cross. Redemption is better than perfection. When we sin, we have an Advocate in heaven who is abounding in steadfast love, ready to forgive and restore. 

1 John 2:1 says, "My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous."
