S2E10: Lies of Purity Culture: Is Modest Really Hottest?
Sierra joined us to talk about how purity culture has spread throughout the church & has harmed many Christians along the way, specifically in the area of modesty. We discussed why the majority of blame is cast only on women, and how every person is called to be pure and have integrity, regardless of gender. Jesus didn’t actually say much about what to wear and not wear, but He always talked about the heart. Purity culture does not fix the root issue of our intentions, but Jesus offers clear perspective on what is truly important.
