Love the Podcast / Lose the Twizzler Ads
Wonderful podcast, but you really need to lose the Twizzler ads. Hard to take the content as seriously (e.g., excellent episodes touching on food addiction, etc.), when the pod breaks to sell you Twizzlers for when you are bored. This Pod is above that!

Life-changing
This podcast is amazing. The topics are so on point for modern life. The guests are always highly qualified as you would expect, but they are also interesting. The host seems to be such a sincere, thoughtful, loving, caring, and intelligent person. Very grateful for it.
Amazing!
Very thought-provoking and inspiring!
Excellent! (But one complaint)
Shankar Vendantam's podcasts on human behavior are excellent! The guests are reporting on cutting research and advances in the field of human behavior. Vendantam's questions are probing and insightful. Overall, each podcast is informative and stimulating. One complaint: I was intrigued by the Hidden Brain+ offering. It purportedly gave listeners the opportunity to ask experts on a podcast questions following the airing of podcast. I signed up for the free week (followed by a $49 annual fee). After doing so, I could not find anywhere on the podcast website where I could pose my question. I wanted to ask my question via text btw. Anyway, I cancelled. (Shankar- you may want to check this out.)
Life enhancing!
This show always gives me fascinating new ways to think about myself and the people and world around me. It is simultaneously mind-blowing and grounding, and enhances my understanding and experience of every moment I am out in the world!
Always stimulating episodes!
I love this podcast! There are always engaging guests tackling fascinating issues. Well done!
Long time listener
I regularly welcome the download of Hidden Brain and the wonderful insight each episode provides me about our mind and our general bias. There is a great variety of topics and super interesting guest not to forget Shankar’s skills at interviewing. I was pleasantly surprised the other week when I heard him for the first time ask a question which placed the guest (I thought) on their back foot. So tactfully done. Then allow space for the guest to acknowledge in their own way and to the guests credit, they remained open & vulnerable, owning what Shankar asked. Only through great interviewing techniques, can dialogue like this open up.
Love your show
I love this show, especially how the host, Shankar asks insightful questions or summarizes a scientific lesson in simple words. I always look forward to taking my walks so I can listen to it. Thanks for doing an amazing job !
Grateful for your podcast
Thank you for offering so many insights and perspectives on so many interesting topics. I’ve learned a great deal from listening to you for years and look forward each week to another eye and mind-opening episode.
Best show ever
I’ve been listening to hidden brain for years and I’ll never stop! It’s my all time favorite show.
Marshmallow episode
This really made me think about weight loss and internal voices. If you think that you will clamp down and beat yourself up for eating the thing then you might be more likely to overeat…. Super fascinating about scarcity impacts on delayed gratification. I would love to hear more about this.
Used to listen every day
I used to listen every day on my 4-mile morning walk but I’m retired now and cannot afford to pay for podcasts.
Amazing
My favorite podcast .. I love the choice of topics that everyone can relate it.. the approach to the subjects which is quite deep and relevant .. so unique from many other podcast that are positivity inspiring .. Shankar you are amazing and your voice is quite comforting and calm
Exceptional!
I listen to and share many of the Hidden Brain podcasts. They are so insightful and interesting. I just have one complaint and it isn’t about the program, but rather about a subject I’ve been listening to on the podcast: the Harvard Implicit Bias Tests. I’ve only taken one. I’ve not had the desire to take another because the one I took forced me to be biased one way or the other. I found myself simply skipping questions because there were no answers I agreed with. The choices were “men” or “women” when I felt there should be “both” and “neither” options as well. I came away with a no bias result but felt the test (at least the one I took) was fundamentally flawed. Thank you for all you give to us. Shankar has such a brilliant way of bringing the ideas into focus making them easier to understand and relate to our own life’s experiences.
Interesting listen
The topics discussed in this podcast are interesting
Truly the best!
I am a big fan of all that you guys do. Love how you have the special shout out at the end. Incredibly creative work and I thought your interviews with Ali Crum were exceptional.
Great interesting ideas - love it!
I never miss this show, so I got a subscription; now there is Hidden Brain Plus - how do it switch my subscription to Plus??
Can we get the ads out of the middle?
This show is too important to have ads crammed into the middle of the story.
Great show
Very enjoyable!
Fantastic
Excellent, well-researched, helpful, engaging information on a variety of topics. My favorite podcast.
$43??
I love this podcast and look forward to new episodes every week, but $5 a month/$43 a year is pretty steep for a weekly podcast. So much for public radio.
Interesting but…
The topics and specialists are very interesting, but your speakers are overwhelmingly male. I know there are female specialists, researchers, scholars, and scientists out there and you are missing those stories and perspectives. Please make an effort for an equal number of those voices on your show.
You will enjoy these
Amazing content ! I love listening to you
