Created as a safe haven for the supernatural, follow Private Detective Ren Black and the Yokai Detective Agency in a noir-inspired mystery as he navigates darkness, love, and betrayal. Produced by the team at Cactus Cat Creations, this series follows the aftermath of the murder of Shiro Minagawa, Ren Black's former partner and lover. The YDA team had lost track of the killer, Gabriel, after he disappeared through a portal after sacrificing Shiro to help bring back his master. Lost in his grief, Ren had shut himself away for a year in an alcoholic stupor. After a letter addressed to Black from Gabriel appears at the YDA, he is pulled back into the fray with a new partner assignment in rookie Hiro Akashi. Will the two be able to work together to track Gabriel down, or will the past catch up to them first?
