An Eloquent Voice for Victim Advocacy
Laura Richards is a powerful and inspiring advocate for women through her true crime podcast platform. I hope the legislation in the UK can get some “teeth” and that some day the USA will follow suit.

From Real Crime Profile to Crime Analyst—A MUST LISTEN (binge!!!)
After binge-listening to Real Crime Profile from beginning to end, I am now completely engaged with Crime Analyst. The interviews are astounding and Ms. Richards’ analysis and knowledge speak strength and aim to empower women and teach change! I learn daily and am inspired to share. Please listen and learn. Share, share, share. Thank you, Laura Richards!!!

The real deal in behavioral analysis
I worked in the upper echelons of criminal defense for 15 years, including 5 years in death penalty defense. Few people realize that death penalty defense is rarely about guilt or innocence, at least for the lawyers…. It’s sometimes hard to bring the client along. In a particularly tough case we reached out to one of our experts who has contacts in the FBI’s BAU Unit. It’s too long a story to record here, but what they suggested we do with our client sounded like cockamamie. Let’s just say it involved having our client signing paperwork for court everyday from the attorney and a very fancy, mystical looking pen the lead attorney bought for$30. Our client was not allowed to use because it was only for signing “important documents.” But we were desperate and willing to try anything and our experts saw the psychology behind it. Unbelievably, our client finally agreed to take a plea, but only if he could use the pen. The work people like Lara Richard do is invaluable, not only to the police, but also to defense attorneys trying to balance everyone’s interests to come to a conclusion that is as just as possible. Our client? He pled to LWOP. So he could sign the plea deal with a $30 pen. Understanding what motivates people IS the magic sauce of life and Lara Richards has it.

I highly recommend Laura’s podcasts.
I already follow Laura on YouTube and decided to listen to her podcasts. I am certainly not disappointed although I didn’t think I would be. I have just listened to the Amanda Knox interview which is fantastic. It is incredibly insightful and everybody should listen to this if they still have doubts about Amanda’s involvement in Meredith’s murder. In addition to the interview with Amanda, the podcast naturally highlights the inherent misogyny cursing police forces and it’s impact upon women & female victims. This is a global phenomenon where female victims often become the perpetrators in male dominated forces or in Amanda’s case, the ultimate “killer”. As an advocate for women’s rights and having suffered abuse, Laura’s acute analytical processes come as a breath of fresh air to me personally. It is refreshing to know that other strong women are “batting on the same side”. Laura intentionally brings victim’s names BACK to her media platforms, in the absence of lying, greedy tabloids, whilst overhauling initial distorted narratives with FACTS and female CRIME ANALYSIS. I highly recommend the podcasts and also YouTube “Crime Analysis”.

Superbly written and presented
What a fantastic and original podcast. Laura nails everyone’s view of these heinous crimes against these women. We are all sick of being overlooked/not listened to/unseen/ignored and so on. It’s very frustrating to know how this was handled! Thank you for your passion and insight. I appreciate your hard work. 🌸

Very knowledgeable
There is plenty of value in all episodes. I wish the Police , judges and other professionals involved with safeguarding children and women watched it. It allows to recognise patterns of abuse and teaches to pay attention to the small, such important detail.

Amazing podcast!
Amazing podcast! Laura is such a wealth of knowledge and is an inspiration to all women everywhere. Her ongoing work to ensure the safety of women is truly astounding and as a woman, I appreciate everything she does.

Obsessed!
I have followed Laura’s work a long time. I am a social worker and she has inspired me to speak up, continue my education, and fight for my patients/clients. I am so thankful for her wisdom, her passion, and her ability to teach. THANK YOU.

A true victim advocate
I came to leave a review and was reading some of the other reviews and was happy to see so many of the sentiments I intended to share were already posted in a lot of the prior 5 star reviews. Laura is so insightful and such an advocate for victims and their families. I feel like I’ve had an education after each episode I hear, especially about what is accepted by society with crimes against women. I had such guilt about leaving a personal relationship and now I understand how much I was controlled, even though no physical abuse, but financial control and control over relationships with friends and family. I don’t mean to make this about my personal situation but just want to explain how much Laura’s podcast has not only educated me about women’s and victim’s rights but has helped me accept and move forward from my own personal issues. Thank you Laura for your hard work, dedication, outreach, research and education.

Brilliant podcast

Insightful
Just finished the Prince Andrew episodes . But do feel Virgina should also be held accountable for her actions in recruiting girls .

Wilma McCann
Very moving talk with her Son Richard well done for all his sterling work and writings regarding the terrible things that happened which were viewed and spoken off in such an unjust way. Well done Richard you’re a son to be proud off. Good luck with raising a memorial 👍

First class podcast
Just finished listening to the Gabby Petito podcast & even though I knew a lot about this, I learnt so much from listening to Laura. It’s quite clear she has read every spit & cough of this case & isn’t just reading from Google. Excellent, thorough & never forgets the victim.

Awesome Podcast!
When I need accurate and thorough information ..Laura Richards and Crime Analyst podcast is the first place I look. I love this podcast because it’s not just someone reading and researching, Laura has actually “battled in the trenches” so to speak. Loads of respect!!

Incredible Insights and Expertise
I've followed Laura since her involvement in The Case of JonBenét Ramsey in 2016. Now, I'm blown away by her expertise and depth of knowledge on the Laura Richards Crime Analyst Podcast. Her attention to detail is unparalleled, and her insights have opened my eyes to new perspectives. It's like receiving training from the world's top-ranking officer and detective. The podcast covers various crime and criminal psychology topics, with each episode being incredibly informative and thought-provoking. I eagerly anticipate each new release. I highly recommend the Laura Richards Crime Analyst Podcast to anyone interested in crime or criminal psychology. It's an outstanding podcast that deserves five stars

No one better than Laura Richards
Laura Richards has been an unbelievable resource in educating me about coercive control and the subtle ways leakage can reveal true motivations, as well as the imbalance in gender and crime. After years of referring to domestic violence, I have pivoted and Male violence is now in my lexicon . If you listen to crime analysis podcasts, this (and Real Crime Profile) are the ones to follow, and share.

Podcast with Integrity
Brilliant podcast. Crafted and delivered with integrity, whilst maintaining the focus on victims and upholding their dignity.

Amazing podcast
I am a layperson who has learned so much from Laura’s work. She tirelessly deconstructs, analyzes and educates for free on this podcast, Real Crime Profile, IG and now also on Youtube. Thank you Laura for teaching us about the many different facets of coersive control and so much more.

Brilliant and super interesting
Laura has taught me so much about the subtle signs of coercive control and what it means in relationships. In my opinion, she is a valuable resource for looking at any crime that involves violence against women. She breaks open the patriarchy that we have all come to accept and that has harmed women. We need more people like her.

The gold standard
I’ve recently discovered Laura’s podcast and I am slowly working my way through the back catalogue. Laura’s attention to detail in her analysis of cases I thought I knew about has blown my mind. Laura is the gold standard of criminal analysis. Imagine if all law enforcement had access to this level of expertise. How many women would be still alive today. Thank you so much for all your hard work.

Top Tier Real Crime and Victim Advocacy Podcast
There’s no better real crime podcast out there. In depth, expert, critical analysis of serious crime cases. Putting the victim at the centre as it should be and holding the media, the police and the general public accountable for the biases and prejudices that often hinder criminal investigations. Laura has been doing amazing work for decades and I’m truly grateful I discovered her podcast as it’s been an eye opener making me aware of biases I didn’t realise I had and that are so pervasive in our culture. A truly essential listen, law enforcement especially should be paying attention.

I wish there were more Laura's in the world
You can feel how much Laura cares about her work and all the victims/survivors discussed. Laura's passion and empathy are unmatchable. She speaks the truth even when it's not pretty. Thank you Laura! You're a warrior 💜

Incredible, knowledge and skilled professional
Laura is a knowledgeable professional with many years of experience helping victims of domestic violence. Her work helps bring light to this challenging and often misunderstood topic. I like to listen to her discussion about crime and how we can prevent it. I wish we had more Lauras in every community able to help educate others and protect victims.

Thank you!
I feel like no one cares about women, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ people, but Laura gives me hope even when I’m tired. I’ve experienced coercive control and abuse and I’m so glad people like Laura are talking about it. If we don’t talk about no one will. Thanks for a great and empathetic podcast.

Warrior training
I think this podcast is the best example of how we educate ourselves to become warriors against misogyny and domestic violence. Bravo!

Best and most informative podcast ever
I absolutely love Real Crime Profile and all of Laura’s work but this podcast is my favorite and the most relevant to the work that I do. I love how the victims always come first and the care, compassion, and understanding that Laura always gives to victims and families while equally not allowing perpetrators to get away with things. I couldn’t recommend this podcast anymore highly for people that want a victim-centric view on crimes and actually want to work to better themselves and their work. As a trauma therapist this show helps me constantly to shape my work, ideas, and the specific language that I use.
