Don’t miss this excellent podcast!
I have always been interested in true crime because of the psychology of criminals. I have listened to many other crime podcasts through the years, but once you go Laura Richards- you will not go back! No other podcast will do! Laura is an expert who digs In to the details and is always teaching her listeners. I honestly feel like I am taking a course! I’m literally smarter after listening to Laura. Thank you Laura for your excellent work and sharing your knowledge with us.

Wisdom
I want to be wise enough to identify when someone is not truthful. Listening to Laura confirms we can all learn from her. Trust our instincts.

Only the best from Laura!
This podcast is amazing. She is highly intelligent and very well informed. Laura demands respect and deserves it. She unapologetically puts the survivors and victims first. This is not a happy podcast but it is the correct way to talk about the horror of what men do to women. I came from RCP because I admire Laura so much! Be curious, ask questions and always trust your instincts!

A must listen
Laura Richards has been one of the most influential women in the world to shine a light on domestic violence and stalking and that is how I came to know of her. This is a true crime podcast of a very unique nature, her compassion and advocacy for the victim is what sets this apart and above all the others. She is truly changing the world and this podcast is another amazing endeavor!

Learn From The Best
This podcast is a gift to anyone who wants to learn. It’s like a free course in criminology, presented by an exceptional mind. One thing I appreciate is Laura Richards unrelenting commitment to naming the murder of women as what it is…”FEMICIDE”. Murdered women are failed over and over again when law enforcement, the courts, and media don’t call it what it is.

Excellent podcast
A broadcaster with such clarity of speech and purpose. I am not someone who listens to ‘true’ crime as a rule. But I really enjoy her analysis, and victim centred approach, and have learnt a lot. Thanks Laura

A truly insightful podcast that goes into detail where it matters
This is a high quality podcast by a professional who knows her craft and is willing to share it with the public in an in-depth and very insightful manner. Thank you Laura for your work.

Really centres victims and calls for action
Thank you Laura for your important and necessary work! I really love the show.
Informative, analytical, thoughtful approach to current and past cases. Laura Richards is passionate about protecting and honoring victims, as well as analytical in her approach. She gets to the facts and the truth.

My favourite podcast
I’m so impressed with this podcast and really look forward to each new episode. Great insight and analysis, and not in anyway glorifying the cases. I love that Laura keeps the victims front and centre. Very insightful and educational too. 5*

Compelling, Educational, Essential
I began listening to a range of true crime podcasts in 2020, but over the course of those years have winnowed the podcasts I listen to consistently that are true crime or true crime-adjacent to three, and two of them involve Laura Richards. She is compassionate, authoritative, refreshing, thoughtful, sincere and most of all, instructive. Crime Analyst, in particular, is my favorite of the three, and I’m not sure I should even describe it as “true crime” as it does not glorify or sensationalize criminals and their deeds, but rather seeks to impart an understanding of the kinds of personality traits and underlying social structures that underly criminal behaviors, particularly with regard to power imbalances. History podcasts consume must of my time, but I will always make space for Crime Analyst because Laura Richards approaches her topics with the kind of compassion and professional rigor that characterize the best historians, and because I invariably learn something new - even about cases that have cycled incessantly through podcast and other media. Somehow, despite her topics which invariably require trigger warnings, she also manages to be a soothing and comforting narrator.

Brilliant podcast!
This podcast is brilliant, it is informative and breaks down cases really well with commentary based on actual experience in the field. Laura is really respectful to the victims and always refocuses her attention to them whenever she can. Thank you for your work!

Just brilliant!
I look forward to this podcast every week. I have followed Laura Richards for a long time and her insight and knowledge is just second to none. She’s taught me alot. Thankyou.

Knowledgeable & Respectful
Laura knows what she’s talking about, and she makes sure to explain in terms regular people can understand. She explains what things mean, how to recognize red flags, and her thought process through the lens of her advocacy work and law enforcement experience. It isn’t salacious like true crime podcasts can be, and I like that about this podcast.

One of the best podcasts
So nice to listen to a professional podcast by someone who knows what she’s talking about. Recently at the top of an episode she makes a statement to listeners who don’t like her podcast, that they can leave. And there’s no need to announce you’re leaving, it’s not an airport. I LOVED that!! She often makes me laugh.

Brilliant podcast!
I love this podcast. Laura Richards gives incredible insight from a fresh perspective and shows just how sexist and misogynistic the criminal justice system really is. Laura discusses stalking, coercive control and other domestic violence related behaviours, so it is really a valuable learning tool as well. As someone who has experienced stalking, this podcast has been extremely validating for me. I recommend this podcast 100% Thank you Laura for all you do.

WELL DONE, LAURA!!!
Outstanding podcast! It is obvious that Laura is a highly educated and sensitive professional who painstakingly delves into a plethora of cases over the years to learn the specificities of each. Her depth and breadth of knowledge is truly mind boggling, my singular go-to for all things domestic violence/coercive control. Her individualistic detailed coverage of the “murder in slow motion” of Gabby Petito, for instance, revealed so much more than what I was able to find in my own research. Laura’s instincts are keenly sharpened from years of study and walking alongside victims and their families. Well done, Laura! To the future listener: if you are looking for giddy, giggly, petty, and reading from Google…keep looking, sooo many pods fit that genre. If you want clear, in-depth, sober, well-researched, and knowledgeable coverage and psycho-forensic dissection of today’s issues…you have found your home! Welcome aboard!

Very insightful podcast
I am grateful for everything what Laura does for women safety and crime prevention. Her knowledge about the specific cases and opinion based on her experiences as a crime analyst and profiler working in the field is much appreciated. I first got hooked by wonderful Real Crime Profile podcast and know discovered the Crime Analyst. Love to listen both. Thank you.

laura is a voice for the voiceless
Laura is one of the most if not most intelligent voices I have listened to. She should be the leading guide for the future reform for all law enforcment agencies and all people in law and justice should take notes from her. She is well spoken, and extremely smart. She is an advocate for all women and victims and truly making the world a better place by deconstructing these cases and teaching people about patterns and coercive control. I cannot reccomend enough to listen and LEARN from Laura

Addicted
Fascinating listening to Laura’s deep dive into the ‘R’ word case. Her extensive knowledge is evident and her take on all episodes I’ve listened to is spot on. Makes my commute to work fly by and certainly has given me a lot to ponder and makes me feel empowered to speak up more when others have opinions on violence against women.

Thoughtful and thorough
I wanted to say I enjoy listening to Crime Analyst and I know anyone looking for respectful, thoughtful and thorough analysis of a crime SHOULD listen! Laura Richards dives deep into the crime itself, and the people involved and impacted. Laura leaves no stone unturned, and I have learned so much from listening.
Thank you Laura. You are a strong expert at analysing and deconstructing the Murdaugh Murders so far. I understand the Murdaugh Murders is a complicated case to analyse however I am really proud of your work on the case. You did really well analysing Alex Murdaugh`s 911 call, the crime scene and law enforcement and you did an excellent job of analysing Alex`s interview with South Carolina Law Enforcement Division(SLED). As always, I am so proud of you and I wish you the best of luck. All the best. Thanks.

An Eloquent Voice for Victim Advocacy
Laura Richards is a powerful and inspiring advocate for women through her true crime podcast platform. I hope the legislation in the UK can get some “teeth” and that some day the USA will follow suit.

From Real Crime Profile to Crime Analyst—A MUST LISTEN (binge!!!)
After binge-listening to Real Crime Profile from beginning to end, I am now completely engaged with Crime Analyst. The interviews are astounding and Ms. Richards’ analysis and knowledge speak strength and aim to empower women and teach change! I learn daily and am inspired to share. Please listen and learn. Share, share, share. Thank you, Laura Richards!!!

The real deal in behavioral analysis
I worked in the upper echelons of criminal defense for 15 years, including 5 years in death penalty defense. Few people realize that death penalty defense is rarely about guilt or innocence, at least for the lawyers…. It’s sometimes hard to bring the client along. In a particularly tough case we reached out to one of our experts who has contacts in the FBI’s BAU Unit. It’s too long a story to record here, but what they suggested we do with our client sounded like cockamamie. Let’s just say it involved having our client signing paperwork for court everyday from the attorney and a very fancy, mystical looking pen the lead attorney bought for$30. Our client was not allowed to use because it was only for signing “important documents.” But we were desperate and willing to try anything and our experts saw the psychology behind it. Unbelievably, our client finally agreed to take a plea, but only if he could use the pen. The work people like Lara Richard do is invaluable, not only to the police, but also to defense attorneys trying to balance everyone’s interests to come to a conclusion that is as just as possible. Our client? He pled to LWOP. So he could sign the plea deal with a $30 pen. Understanding what motivates people IS the magic sauce of life and Lara Richards has it.

I highly recommend Laura’s podcasts.
I already follow Laura on YouTube and decided to listen to her podcasts. I am certainly not disappointed although I didn’t think I would be. I have just listened to the Amanda Knox interview which is fantastic. It is incredibly insightful and everybody should listen to this if they still have doubts about Amanda’s involvement in Meredith’s murder. In addition to the interview with Amanda, the podcast naturally highlights the inherent misogyny cursing police forces and it’s impact upon women & female victims. This is a global phenomenon where female victims often become the perpetrators in male dominated forces or in Amanda’s case, the ultimate “killer”. As an advocate for women’s rights and having suffered abuse, Laura’s acute analytical processes come as a breath of fresh air to me personally. It is refreshing to know that other strong women are “batting on the same side”. Laura intentionally brings victim’s names BACK to her media platforms, in the absence of lying, greedy tabloids, whilst overhauling initial distorted narratives with FACTS and female CRIME ANALYSIS. I highly recommend the podcasts and also YouTube “Crime Analysis”.

Superbly written and presented
What a fantastic and original podcast. Laura nails everyone’s view of these heinous crimes against these women. We are all sick of being overlooked/not listened to/unseen/ignored and so on. It’s very frustrating to know how this was handled! Thank you for your passion and insight. I appreciate your hard work. 🌸

Very knowledgeable
There is plenty of value in all episodes. I wish the Police , judges and other professionals involved with safeguarding children and women watched it. It allows to recognise patterns of abuse and teaches to pay attention to the small, such important detail.

Amazing podcast!
Amazing podcast! Laura is such a wealth of knowledge and is an inspiration to all women everywhere. Her ongoing work to ensure the safety of women is truly astounding and as a woman, I appreciate everything she does.

Obsessed!
I have followed Laura’s work a long time. I am a social worker and she has inspired me to speak up, continue my education, and fight for my patients/clients. I am so thankful for her wisdom, her passion, and her ability to teach. THANK YOU.
