#21 What Do You Believe That Others Think Is Insane?
In this question-and-quote episode, Arnold Beekes challenges groupthink head-on — the pressure to quietly change your own opinion just to fit in, avoid looking weird, or avoid being the exception. He asks: what do you believe that other people would think is insane, and dares you to hold onto it rather than conform. He shares his own example — a belief that we live in a simulated reality, an idea David Icke was mocked for over 20 years ago that now has growing scientific support behind it. His point: looking insane at first doesn't mean you're wrong, it might just mean you were early. He pairs it with a quote: "If you always blame someone else, you will not grow and others will dislike you." Arnold connects this to a culture of constant criticism and blame — on social media, in everyday conversation — arguing that blaming others keeps you stuck reacting to someone else's creation instead of generating your own ideas, and radiates a low, uninviting frequency that pushes people away rather than drawing them in.

Between the Ears Q&Q
Welcome, I'm Arnold Beekes and this is the question and quote version of the Between The Ears podcast. The goal is to enable you to unleash and use your uniqueness. Question, what is something that you believe that other people think is insane? I repeat the question, what is something that you believe that other people think is insane? Generally speaking, there's such an influence of what they call group think.
Group thinking means that you change your own point of view, your own opinion, your own understanding in order to fit into the group. In order not to look weird or in order not to be an exception, you comply to what the group thinks. And you can search the internet, there's a very, very interesting research being done about group thinking and how it even forces you to lie, to lie to yourself.
So what I'm asking you today is to keep it to yourself. And what is something that you believe that other people think is insane? And keep it to yourself for the moment. Let me give two examples.
I now totally believe that we live in a simulated reality. It's not a natural world, it's a simulated reality. When David Icke was mentioning this, I don't know, more than 20 years ago, people literally thought he was insane.
But now there's a lot of scientific research and many, many other people confirming that. So yes, in the beginning you might look insane, but you might be the only one who was right. So don't conform to group thinking.
Allow yourself to think differently. Quote, if you always blame someone else, you will not grow and others will dislike you. I think it seems to be growing in the world, people always blaming other people, criticizing other people.
And it doesn't matter whether it's yesterday's football game, whether it's something you ate, it's an article you read, it's music you listen to. People are always criticizing, always blaming other people. And that's all what they do.
Or post on social media how that trainer was wrong or how that politician was corrupt or whatever. But it's always you are responding to what other people are saying. That means you will not grow because you are even less than the person you are blaming or criticizing.
Because you don't come up with your own ideas, like I shared in the previous question. So you won't grow because you just criticize the creation of someone else. And by blaming other people, you radiate a low frequency.
You radiate a vibration which is not constructive, which doesn't get people excited. So people won't like you. So stop blaming or criticizing other people.
It doesn't do any good to yourself and to those other people. And please remember, we need your uniqueness. Be a better maker.
For yourself. For others. For the world.
