Laws and commands, when rooted in love, resonate from within. When we receive them with open hearts, we realize they are not impositions from external forces but echoes of our own inner wisdom. Do we feel the gentle nudging of love within, guiding us towards forgiveness and compassion? Or do we obey out of fear, shackled by the weight of anticipated consequences?
Commands from the heart of Christ are not chains to bind us but keys to unlock the fullness of our humanity. Yet, in our journey, we've encountered distorted versions of forgiveness – ones that demand we suppress our emotions, absolve others of accountability, and deny our own humanity.
What we need to do is reclaim the true essence of forgiveness – one that honors our emotions, holds others accountable, and nurtures our journey towards wholeness. Let forgiveness be a beacon of liberation, not a tool of oppression. Forgiveness is a path to empowerment, a journey towards becoming fully human.
