Johnny Mac does some planning for an upcoming trip to Los Angeles - but this one is focused on Instagram.

Let's head out from San Francisco and make our way down the Pacific Coast Highway...keep the ocean on your right shoulder, and don't do the trip on a Tuesday.

Let's start off at the Ferry Terminal and make our way along the Embarcadero, check out the Presidio and Golden Gate Park...hit up Little italy for some food....and we haven't even been on a trolley yet!

We leave Las Vegas and Nevada and take the 2.5 hour beautiful drive up I-15 to Zion National Park in Utah...which just may be even better than The Grand Canyon. We meet Whitaker and Kenny who tell us a little about the place, we buy $92 in souvenirs...

You're gonna need a car, and you will need to make reservations (most of the year) but being just half an hour (if that) from the Strip, combined with how gorgeous it is, you must do Red Rock Canyon.

Johnny Mac drives across Hoover Dam and finds the road is closed. So he heads back toward Lake Mead....and finds the road is closed. But Boulder City was nice.

Join Johnny Mac as he amuses himself crossing back and forth crossing between Nevada and Arizona and the Pacific and Mountain Time Zones. Also Hoover Dam is really cool and an easy drive from The Strip.

At Death Valley you will quickly come to Zabriskie Point, be sure to do it. Furnace Creek is OK. Make sure you drive all the way out to the dunes as that's the best part, and don't skip Dante's Peak. Do them in that order.

Let's head on up US 95 to Death Valley...on the way we'll see.....a lot of nothing, and it is awesome.

We had north out of the Excalibur, past the seedy stuff on the east side of Las Vegas Blvd for finally finding the beautiful Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens.
