Often times the neck and shoulder pain our Pilates clients experience indicates some nerve compression or muscle weakness.
This will have a effect down the chain, in the elbow, wrist, and/or hand.
That said, weight-bearing exercises on mat and apparatus, and forearm strengthening with the sandbag will help.
