The Late Discovered Club
The Late Discovered Club is a social impact community and podcast, on a mission to give a voice to Late Discovered autistic women and marginalised groups.
It began in 2022, and the podcast brings you real and empowering stories of late discovered autistic women and people from all walks of life - through an intersectional lens - helping to deconstruct stereotypes, and giving the next generation visibility.
Hosted by Psychotherapist & Author Catherine Asta and edited by her daughter, Caty Ava. In Season 4 which began in January 2025 Catherine is joined in some of the episodes by author Pete Wharmby as a guest co-host.
Listened to in over 130 countries, it was ranked the #1 global podcast for ‘female autism’ in 2025.
In June 2025, after 4 seasons and over 65+ episodes, we made the decision to press pause, however, the much needed post discovery community support continues; which includes peer support circles, connection circles, an online community space, as well as regular educational sessions - head to our 'courses' section to see what is coming up and how to book.
Combined, the podcast and post discovery support has reached almost a quarter of a million people since it began in 2022 (putting us in the Top 5% of podcasts worldwide* according to The Podcast Host).
Head to our 'About Us' page to read more about the impact we've made so far, and the ways in which you can get involved.
Thank you to our Community Partners and Members who continue to support the work that we do.
From December 2025, Catherine will be hosting the NHS commissioned and funded 'Autism Central Podcast' as part of the £6 million National Autism Peer Education Programme being delivered by Anna Freud over the next 3 years.
Catherine & Caty will be teaming up once again to bring real stories, honest conversations, and shared wisdom from England’s National Autism Peer Education Programme.
