Setting up your Podpage with a Namecheap domain

Connecting a Namecheap domain to your Podpage takes a couple of DNS changes. Once they're in place, your website loads at your own domain name.

Before you start, add your domain in Podpage: in your dashboard, go to Settings → Custom Domain and enter your domain. Podpage then shows you the exact records to add and remove.

How to update your DNS at Namecheap

  1. Log in to Namecheap and open your Domain List.
  2. Click Manage next to the domain you want to connect.

  3. Open the Advanced DNS tab.

  4. Scroll to Host Records and delete any existing records that use the same host you're setting up (for example, www).

  5. Add the Podpage records below, then save your changes.

The records to enter

  • CNAME record — Host: www (or your subdomain), Value: domains.podpage.com
  • A record — Host: @, Value: 54.90.47.105 (only needed when your site lives at www.yourdomain.com)

Tip: DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to spread across the internet. After a few minutes, click Verify Changes on your Custom Domain page to check your setup.
