These are the DNS records that make your Podpage appear when someone visits your domain. Add your domain in Podpage first, then create the records at your registrar.
Step 1: Add your domain in Podpage
In your dashboard, go to Settings → Custom Domain and enter your domain. Podpage will then show you exactly which records it's looking for.
Step 2: Open your DNS settings
- Log in to your domain registrar — the company where you bought the domain — and open your domain's DNS settings. If you're not sure where they are, search "how to change DNS with [your registrar's name]."
- If domain forwarding is enabled on the domain, disable it — forwarding conflicts with the records below.
Step 3: Add the Podpage DNS records
For a whole domain (www.yourdomain.com), add two records:
- CNAME with host/name www pointing to domains.podpage.com
- A record with host/name @ pointing to 54.90.47.105
For a subdomain (podcast.yourdomain.com), add one record:
- CNAME with host/name set to your subdomain (for example, podcast) pointing to domains.podpage.com
If your registrar shows an error, delete the conflicting record (an existing www or @ record) and add the Podpage record again. If you see a TTL setting, leave it at the default.
Step 4: Save and wait
Save your changes and allow a few hours for them to take effect. Temporary unavailability or SSL warnings during this window are normal.
Common questions
Podpage is asking me to change DNS records, but everything works. Can I ignore it? Yes. If your website and email are both working correctly, you can safely keep your existing DNS settings — extra records sometimes act as a backup configuration. If you'd like to be sure, your domain host can confirm there are no obsolete records interfering with your site.
What happens to my existing website? Pointing your main domain at Podpage sends all of that domain's traffic to your Podpage — visitors will no longer see the site that was there before (on Wix, for example). Finish and review your Podpage before making the change.
