Pointing more than one domain at your Podpage

You might own more than one domain — say www.myawesomeshow.com and www.myawesomeshowpodcast.com — and want either one to bring visitors to your Podpage. That's totally possible.

The key is to pick one primary domain. Having the same content on two domains is terrible for search engine optimization, so choose the one address you want search engines (and listeners) to use.

How to set up your primary domain

  1. In your dashboard, go to Settings → Custom Domain and add your primary domain.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to get your DNS settings working with Podpage.

How to forward your other domains

Once your primary domain is working:

  1. Sign in to the registrar where you bought the secondary domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.).
  2. Select the secondary domain and find its Forwarding settings.
  3. Forward the secondary domain to your primary domain.
  4. If you see options for Forward with path and Use SSL, turn both on.
  5. If you see a masking option, turn it off.

Now anyone who visits a secondary domain is sent straight to your primary one — which keeps things simple for your listeners and for Google.
