I truly didn’t think about listening to music while doing tasks and it’s affect on my concentration until the guest speaker mentioned how lyrics in songs could inadvertently distract my thinking. Very helpful input and discussion!

Absolutely love this podcast! One of my favorite, I enjoy learning new things, practical tips I can use and I must say I LOVE Mike’s questions to his guests! Never afraid to ask the hard questions and question the answers he is given!

I especially like the fact that Mike asks really great questions. Often the exact questions I would ask if I was interviewing the person. This podcast teaches me so many new exciting practical things! Love it!

I love the guest speaker who was talking about stupidity and was using San Francisco’s liberal Woke policies as an example of stupidity. I’m surprised the host didn’t come right out of his seat because it must’ve hit him where he lives. He was practically arguing with the guest trying to defend letting criminals go without punishment.

Great Podcast.. I tell everyone about this show! However it's sad to see how narrow minded some of his guests are on conspiracy theories .. Books don't lie, if they did they would be sued for slander.. Plenty of Books have been published on JFK/RFK/ MLK & 9-11..Dissent is an intellectual pursuit.

I get so excited when I hear that fun opening music!! I know I’m going to learn something interesting and have something cool to talk about with my friends!!! Mike is a great interviewer! I love you Mike!!

What differentiates this show from the other show of a similar name is that the other show discusses facts they are interesting, but often useless. Just fun things to know. However, Mike consistently and frequently discusses topics that are PRACTICAL and USEFUL for your everyday life. I love both styles. I love learning new things, but I am also the kind of person that likes to know things that will help me be a better person and to live a better life. This is a show everyone can benefit from if you’re inclined to reach for something better in your life. This is a show for curious minds, and THAT is something you should know.

I have been listening to this podcast for about two years now. Many episodes are quite informative. I find my next audiobook from podcast guest speakers. I also like that Mike asks good insightful questions and his voice is so pleasant to listen to. I wish listeners could also ask questions. Maybe there could be some kind of a preview of upcoming guest speakers and listeners could submit their questions? Just an idea…

I constantly listen to this podcast. It has made me see the world with a better perspective and I feel smarter and happier because of it. I feel comfortable talking about subjects I would not typically know about otherwise. I am sure I will have listened to all of them available to me one day. Very useful information presented in an entertaining and engaging way

Great podcast that makes you think. I have actually read some books that were recommended by this show. I love the little tidbits/facts he provides at the beginning and end of the show too. A must listen. 🙂

I was introduced to this show during the pandemic and have been a faithful listener ever since. Mike does a great interview. No softballs or traps for his guests. He respectfully challenges them while exploring their views. It is one of my “go-to” podcasts.

I’ve listened to this podcast since before it was a podcast and a short spot on my local radio station. I’m pretty sure this is the original and not ripping off the other similar podcast that is not as professionally produced. My only complaint is the number of commercials from the same company - no I am retired and DON’T need Indeed! I know Michael usually stays away from promoting supplements so I was surprised to hear one on a recent show. Please don’t start that. I appreciate that usually the show avoids politics which is very refreshing to me. Overall I highly recommend this podcast.
