I absolutely love this podcast! It’s fun, informative, doesn’t go so deep that it gets boring but gives you plenty of insight if you want to do a deep dive on your own. Love the wide range of topics. My favorite podcast!

I love lots of podcasts, but some of them drive me crazy, because the host/narrator tends to drop in volume toward the end of a sentence, or uses a lot of vocal fry, or for whatever reason just is not a particularly clear speaker with a consistent cadence. I just found this podcast and was listening for about eight hours of a road trip, and Mike is one of the clearest and most consistent speakers I’ve ever heard. There are way too many very interesting topics that I just can’t get through because the narrator is hard to listen to. Mike is clear, consistent, good volume, good pacing, and a wonderful wide range of fascinating topics.

Mike, I love that” dirty, disgusting lemon trick” about not or doing it in or skipping it in restaurant is finally out. I worked in several restaurant and I never put lemon in my drink. Ali Schuback

I’ve been listening to podcasts since 2009 and have my usual roster of favorites - radiolab, 99% invisible, this American life, how I built it - I don’t recall how i stumbled on this podcast but it’s quickly become a favorite ! I’m pleasantly surprised by the concise nature of the interviews, Mikes relatable style, the diversity in content, and so on. Genuinely grateful to add this to my roster and big appreciation to Mike and the team

I discovered this podcast during sequester. Mike Carruthers does an excellent job interviewing a variety of guests in a comfortable, professional manner. He keeps to topic and there's no "filler"-- topics are the focus. His professional experience and presentation is evident and engaging. I have learned about such a variety of things. Some on topics that I would never have thought to look into myself. I look forward to each episode. Thanks Mike!

I don’t usually write reviews, but I’m making an exception for this one. Mike is a great interviewer, and features a variety of very interesting topics.

Mike, I just wanted to agree with what you said about how placebos work even if you know that they are placebos let me explain; a few years back I was having some trouble sleeping. So I took a Tic Tack that was white and looked like a pill (but I knew it was not). Sure enough I was able to go back to bed and sleep straight through til morning. I no longer have this issue. and I’m glad I was able to get rid of it without medication. Ali Schuback

We checked our ballpoint pens and I was disappointed that none of them had the hole in the cap, especially in light of the fact that a little boy collapsed and died on the playground of my girls school and it was learned that the cap on his pen obstructed his airway. It was so sad and I am angry that companies can’t even do this one small thing to save childrens’ lives, and probably some adults too who put pens in their mouths. Thanks for warning people. I normally enjoy this podcast, it’s a perfect accompaniment to my dog walks. But this last episode about life regrets and swearing was not up to the quality I’ve come to expect. Half an hour of Debbie Downer was enough to skip to the next podcast in my queue.

I probably have two dozen podcast that I listen to but SYSK with my Carruthers is really my default favorite. Let’s do a lot of preparing for these shows but it all seems so natural. And what I really like is he always asks his guest questions that I’m wondering about and then it gets answered! Great job Mike.

I listen almost daily and always learn something new. Mike is a great host and the topics are interesting.

I enjoy these interviews quite a bit however it is frustrating when I get halfway through an episode and realize I’ve already heard it. It would be great if the episode titles clearly indicated which ones are replays. Overall, great podcast!

Mike is a wonderful host. Good, thoughtful questions & (what I like most) he doesn’t make the show about himself. He never goes off on a tangent he sticks to the material. Great job Mike!

This podcast is fantastic! I listen to a plethora of podcasts, each in a different niche. Something I appreciate about SYSK is that Mike doesn't cover just one topic in each episode; he discusses a variety of topics. I've learned so much from listening. I find myself only listening to this show the majority of the time.

Podcast, really good has great info and just like the whole show, really interesting and good.

Learning so much and it’s short and to the point

It’s been about a year of consistent listening now for me and I truly love it. A great podcast to put on as I commute, get housework done, etc., even a good motivator to get out of bed and get moving in the morning (as someone with ADHD). So many interesting AHA moments and great conversation topics to have in your back topic too! Also, I love Mike’s voice and that can really make or break a podcast for me even when I love the topics.

I’m 11 years old and I think that this podcast is the best.

Mike, these Bonus Episodes, so far, are horrid! The Guests don’t know what they’re talking about and have nutty ideas! I think they are taking us ALL for a ride!! Stop them now, before the Show turns into a joke!! Do It, David R. Moss, MD
