And while I understand that the Royal Family isn't an ordinary family and needs to batten down the hatches, especially now, I do hope that this period of caution around the princesses will prove to be temporary. As for the angry thong, most of whom would presumably like to see the Royal Family dismantled in its entirety, it might actually be worth considering all the things Beatrice and Eugenie have done right over the decades. They've never played the victims, never sold their stories, sorry, published their literary memoirs, given oprah of the low down on bridesmaid related infights, or indulged in any winerthons. They've never been anything but supportive of the Royal Family in public. They've never chased fame, always tried to forge their own paths aside from that pretzel hat at Prince William's wedding, never done anything to embarrass the firm.

And while I'm sure she would do everything necessary to protect the firm if she was still alive now, I can't imagine she would accept that they be judged on anything other than their own actions royal. Michael Rhodes, editor of Peerage News and a contributor to the Peerage website, said Andrew's removal from the role was designed to mislead the public into believing he is no longer Duke of York, Earl of Inverness or baron killy Ley. According to Rhodes, Andrew will retain those titles for life unless Parliament passes legislation to remove them. Rhoades stressed that royal authority alone cannot strip a peerage, arguing that being removed from the role does not automatically mean a title has been forfeited.
