William and Kate Attend Historic Archbishop Ceremony as William Faith Questions Resurface

I am your host, Mark, Francis, William and Kate joined faith leaders and worshipers at Canterbury Cathedral as Dame Sarah Maalailey was formerly enthroned as the new Archbishop of Canterbury. The service, attended by around two thousand people, marked the symbolic beginning of Dame Sarah's ministry and a historic milestone for the Church of England that she became the first woman to hold the role in its fourteen hundred year history. Arriving at the cathedral, Dame Sarah told the Press Association she was feeling absolutely great ahead of the service, She said, really looking forward to the celebration of the Anglican Communion, the Church of England and the Gospel. The King had already congratulated Dame Sarah following her appointment in October, and she also met the Prince and Princess of Wales at Lambeth Palace last month. Catherine drew attention with a polished tailored look the occasion, wearing a Prince of Wales's check coat dress and what appeared to be a subtle nod to her husband's title. The outfit featured a sharply defined waiste and structured silhouette paired with a tilted disc hat, a black clutch, pointed pumps and Cassandra Goad earrings. The service also marked for the first time Dame Sarah delivered a sermon as archbishop. Although she had already been formally confirmed in the role during a ceremony at Saint Paul's Cathedral Inn in January as the one hundred and six Archbishop of Canterbury, Dame Sarah has already spoken publicly about the importance of her appointment. In an interview with the BBC,

1:35 she reflected on the significance of being the first female archbishop and paid tribute to the women that have supported me in my ministry and also the men as well. She has also made clear that safeguarding and culture within the church will be central to her leadership. Speaking ahead of the enthronement, Dame Sarah said the church was seeking to become more trauma informed, listening to survivors and victims of abuse, and added that lights should be shone on all our actions, and the more senior we are, the more light should be shone. She also said she remained committed to all I can do to ensure that the church becomes safer and also responds well to victims and survivors of abuse. Dame Sarah takes over from Justin Welby, who resigned in November twenty twenty four following criticism over failures in the handling of an abuse scandal. The Prince of Wales has signaled that while he may not attend church regularly, he remains committed to his responsibilities within the Church of England. Prince William, who was confirmed at the age of fourteen, is said to hold a more private and reflective faith. An Aid told The Sunday Times that he intends to build a strong and meaningful bond with the church and its leadership as he prepares for his future role. Speaking ahead of the Prince's appearance at Canterbury Cathedral for the installation of Dame Sarah Baliley as Archbishop of Canterbury, the Aid said his feeling is that I might not be at church every day, but I believe in it. I want to support it and this is an important aspect of my role than the next role, and I will take it very seriously in my own way.

3:04 This week is an opportunity to be very clear in people's minds when he walks into Canterbury Cathedral where he stands. For him, it is a drawing of a line in the sand where he's at, and it's really important that it's cleared up. The Prince of Wales's commitment to the Church of England is sometimes quieter than people expect, and for that reason it is not always fully understood. Those who know him well recognize that his connection to the Church and to the sense of duty that comes with it, runs deep and is grounded in something personal and sincere. Faith, service and responsibility are themes that have long shaped the role he will inherit, and they will be things he approaches in his own thoughtful way. At a time when institutions can be seen simply through a social or cultural lens.

Unlike his father and grandmother, William has displayed remarkably little interest in faith. He seems to rarely attend church outside of special occasions when it is expected of the Royals. He has not patronized the Prayer Book Society or made explicitly Christian broadcasts or co authored books calling for a return to perennial religious esthetic values. Instead, he has confined himself to safe causes favored by secular minded upper class millennials. Mental health, veterans, youth work, and breaking down various forms of stigma. This new emphasis might be the outcome of advice given to William that he needs to associate himself more strongly with the Church as

This was when pressed deference and social norms made it more feasible for royals to go through the motions without indicating their personal views. The hard truth for William and other royal doubters is that without the Christian religion as a metaphysical scaffolding, the monarchy is significantly less defensible and intelligible in this sense. That's why he is making his avert pro Church turn to force through the idea that religion is paramount, and the reason why he is monarch more palat in just a moment.

If that means giving up alcohol almost entirely, then that's a decision she's very comfortable with. A source said William and Kate have made it a rule to eat dinner every night as a family now, adding that when williams with the kids, the phones go away and Royal Business gets parked for the evening so they can actually relax together.

William praid's the effort, saying what you've done is set an example about helping out. In a video shared by BBC Radio One, the two were seen riding past a gre of school children as James called out to them, look it's Prince William, before joking they don't even believe it. William played along with the moment, cuipping that he was nearly a look alike and suggesting that James was hallucinating. As the brief ride came to an end, James thanks to the Prince, saying I didn't kill the future King William, Thank you so much. That was a real, real treat. Did you feel safe? He felt secure?
