The Cabinet officers released the concepts online and as encouraging members of the public to share their views. The designs, varying from the traditional to the imaginative, all aimed to reflect the character and reign of her Late Majesty, who passed away in September of twenty twenty two after seventy years on the throne. Notably, three of the five proposals depict the Queen on horseback, a not to hurt lifelong passion for equestrian pursuits. One striking concept by Heatherwick's studio shows the Queen on horseback encircled by lilypads. Another design features large sculptures of lilies and even includes recordings of the Queen's voice as part of the experience. A separate proposal sentenced on a grand oak tree sourced from windsor Great Park, symbolizing strength and continuity. A more contemporary vision involves interweaving bridges and symbolic pathways across the lake in the park, creating both a reflective journey and reimagined landscape. The winning entry will occupy a section of Saint James Park near the Mall, in the vicinity of existing royal tributes, including the statues of King George the sixth and the Queen Mother and Queen Victoria's memorial outside Buckingham Palace. Baroness Amos, a member of the memorial committee, spoke of the importance of the public's involvement. We want public engagement, want the public to comment on these proposals because we want them to feel part of it. So much of what the

Two new coronation state portraits of Their Majesty's King Charles the Third and Queen Camilla have been unveiled at the National Gallery in a moment that underscores both tradition and personal expression at the heart of the modern monarchy. Commissioned shortly after Their Majesty's coronation in twenty twenty three, the portraits were painted by artists personally selected by the King and Queen. His Majesty chose the distinguished Peter Kufeld, a longtime collaborator who previously painted Princes William and Harry's children and accompanied the King on official foreign tours. Queen Camilla selected Paul as Benny, known to the royal family for previous commissions and celebrated for his emotionally resonant work.
