Prince William, the grooviest cat in town

0:03 Calorouga Shark Media. Hello and welcome through Pallas Injury. I am your host, Mark Francis. Prince William had a close call on the pitch during a royal engagement. Former Lioness Jill Scott has revealed the Prince of Wales was nearly injured when the footballing star accidentally took him out during a charity match. The moment, she says, left to her momentarily panicked the thought of having side tackled the future King of England. Speaking on the Jonathan Ross Show, Scott recalled their rather dramatic first meeting. We were opening this school. She said, I just had trainers and it was astro turf. I slipped and wiped him out. I thought, I've just side tackled the future King. He's such a lovely guy. Scott, who earned one hundred and sixty one caps and scored twenty seven goals for England over the course of her international career, said the Prince took the incident in stride and his issue and genuine support for women's football. Their paths have crossed several times, including a twenty twenty two when William sent a personal message congratulating her in her retirement at Jill Scott JS eight. Congratulations on a wonderful career.

1:08 It's been a pleasure to get to know you, he wrote on social media tiny bit pleased there won't be any more slide tackles during friendly kickabouts. W Scott also shared a more unusual royal anecdote involving her mb during the pandemic, she missed the official ceremony and ended up collecting the honor from the post office. It was COVID time. I bought all the outfits, but it had to be delivered to home instead and I missed it one day. You know when you get the missed parcel note and I missed the parcel so I went to pick it up and it was my mbe. It was in the sorting office in Warrington. Despite the less than regal setting, she says, William center heartfelt letter, thanking her for her contribution to the sport and her continued efforts to champion the women's game. In another moment, captured ahead of the Euros, Scott was photographed speaking animatedly with the Prince. She explained the now viral image, saying before the Euros he came to Saint George's part to say hello to the goals and wish them luck. I took our coffee cup to give him from our coffee shop. I thought it'd be a nice gesture. I give it to his security there in the picture. I'm trying to explain to him the difference between a flat white and large latter. William has confirmed that this year's earth Shot Prize Awards will take place in u Rio di Janario, Brazil, this November, marking the first time the environmental honors will be staged in South America. The ceremony will coincide with the cop thirty UN Climate Summit, also in Brazil, setting the stage for what may prove to be a significant moment in the global climate calendar. A source close to the Prince said his commitment to restoring the future of the planet is unwavering and the Prince is determined to do all he can to use his platform to spread urgent optimism. Next year, the climate will take place in Brazil, and it's said to be hugely consequential. The Prince of Wales is looking forward to playing a role there more powers. In just a moment, Prince William was taking a striking step away from a royal tradition by hiring the same legal firm that represented his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales during her divorce from King Charles. The move has been widely interpreted as a signal of his determination to chart a new course, one that is distinctly his own. According to reports in The Daily Mail and the Son, William has now parted ways with Harbottle and Lewis, the long preferred legal advisors of his father, in favor of Michon de Reya, the firm that stood by Diana through her tumultuous split from the then Prince of Wales in nineteen ninety six. Lord Michon, the firm's founder, was a trusted confidante of Diana's and deputy chairman Anthony Julius, served as her solicitor throughout the divorce proceedings. Diana's closeness to her legal team extended beyond court room strategy. Famous expressed concerns to Lord Michon that she feared for her life.

5:03 In a letter later shared with police, she wrote of her belief that she might be killed in a staged car crash. Efforts would be made, if not to get rid of her by some accident in her car, such as a pre prepared break failure, at least to see that she was so injured or damaged as to be declared unbalanced in her mind. Just two years later, she died at a car crash in Paris alongside Dirty Fayead. Now nearly three decades on, her son has turned to the same firm. A source close to the Prince told The Mail William wanted to strike out on his own. He did not want to continue using his father's lawyers. It's as simple as that he wants to be his own man. William wants to do things differently from his father and wants to be seen to do them differently. Kensington Palace has not issued a statement on the matter.

5:46 Will's pr machine was in overdrive this week. The son let us know the princes embracing a second chance at life with Princess Kate following her recent health challenges, with insiders suggesting the royal couple are more in love than ever. After a difficult year in which Kate underwent cancer treatment, she is now in remission and gradually resuming royal duties. A source tells Closer William has been incredibly supportive through Kate's cancer battle. He's really proven himself to be a remarkable partner When the going gets tough. His big focus has been on making the most of their time and his second chance at life together. That means more romantic dinners, more long walks, and more holidays. The couple, who famously honeymooned in the Seychelles are reportedly considering a return to that island paradise as they map out their summer plants.

6:30 Family trips to Cornwall and the Isles of Silly are also on the calendar, along with the possibility of a quiet getaway for just the two of them. Kate first revealed her diagnosis in an emotional video message last March and took a step back from public life to focus on her health. Since then, she has slowly reappeared at selected royal engagements, including a moving visit to meet Holocaust survivors in a day at the Tihaven's Children's Hospice in Wales. According to the same source, William took on so many extra duties doing Kate's treatment and remained the most doting husband, with even those closest to the family remarking on his steadfastness. Observers noted a clear shift in the couple's dynamic during St. David's day visit to Wales, where they were seen laughing, holding hands, and even sharing a private joke as they baked cakes together at the local market. A body language expert, Judy James remarked, It's always been known that they will naturally hold hands and hug behind the scenes, but here they are in public, walking along a station platform where their bodies welded together from shoulder to pelvis and with a loving hand clasped to signal they might still be in the honeymoon stages of their love story and they have it.
