0:03 Calorougus Shark Media that low and welcome to Pallace Intrigue. I am your host, Mark Francis. Prince Harry's trip to Britain appears to have taken another dramatic turn, with multiple reports now saying Meghan Michael will join him after all, bringing Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to the UK despite earlier concerns over security. According to reports from Page six, The Telegraph and ATV News, Meghan will not take part in any public engagements. Instead, the visit is expected to remain almost entirely private. As of late morning US East Coast time, there had been no reported sightings of the Duchess.
0:43 The family is reportedly hoping to visit Princess Diana's grave at Althorpe Spencer family estate in Northamptonshire. ATV News reports that Harry is expected to stay with his uncle, Earl Spencer, and that Diana's siblings are also expected to gather there. There are also renewed efforts to a range a private meeting between Prince Harry and King Charles. ITV News reports that aids on both sides have been trying to find a suitable time and location, with High Grove House in Gloucestershire emerging as one possible meeting place. ITV's royal editor Chris ship reports that staff in both camps remain suspicious of each other's motives and say any reunion would take place entirely away from cameras. Megan reportedly does not want Archie and Littlebit photographed during the visit. If the family reunion goes ahead, it would mark the first time King Charles has seen Archie and Lilibet in several years, although as of now, no meeting has been officially confirmed. Writing for Women at Home, royal commentator Emily Andrews believes a family reunion with King Charles could provide a significant public relations boost for the Sussexes, though she questions whether the Duchess would actually share photographs of such a meeting. Since returning to Instagram earlier this year, Megan has shared more glimpses of Archie and Lilibet than in previous years, although their faces have consistently been kept away from the camera.
2:08 Even so, andrew suggests a photograph of the King with both Sussex grandchildren would generate enormous attention online. Such an image as never been publicly released. Whatever does happen, our show writer John McDermott tells Sky and News Australia. The more interesting question, in my view is what happens when the Games themselves take place next year. With plenty of advanced notice. Senior members of the royal family will have the opportunity to decide whether to attend and won't be able to blame scheduling for a well announced event. Whatever they choose, that decision makes headlines. Nice job. John Prince Hary made a surprise appearance on This Morning, joining presenter Alison Hammond for a playful game of laser tag at the Invictors Games one year countdown event. The Duke of Sussex embraces the fun, taking on Hammond in a friendly match and showing off his milit terry instincts by holding the laser gun with a two handed grip. After the game, the pair laughed together, shared a hug and celebrated at the moment with an enthusiastic jump, delighting those watching the event.
3:11 Harry also shared that his children love watching her host The Great British Baykoff. The fun Old Harry, the one we often see when unaccompanied by his wife, also visited the National Exhibition Center, where next Summer's Games will be held, joining former competitors as he tried wheelchair rugby, pickleball, and a laser run demonstration showcasing some of the adaptive sports that will feature during the competition. More than five hundred and fifty wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans from twenty six countries are expected to compete in Birmingham when the Games were turned to Britain for the first time since the inaugural Invictus Games in London in twenty fourteen.
3:51 Speaking during the event, Harry said it feels incredibly special to have the Invictus Games back in the UK, not just because this is where the Invictors Journey first began, but because Britain has always understood the importance of service, resilience and standing together when it matters most. Looking back on the first Games, he joked, what has struck me walking around the arena today is just how many faces I recognize from those different groups that were part of that original journey back in twenty fourteen. Some of us have lost our hair. Harry's team may have been paying attention to his brother's media strategy as the media was fed pictures of Harry playing pickleball. Harry also joined a game of wheelchair rugby alongside broadcast to aid a Depatan, producing one particularly impressive no look past during the session.
4:40 A Depatan later laughed about the moment, saying Harry tried to play down the throw afterward. I mean, he said to me at the end it was just a throw in hope, but I said, style it out, style it out. That was done on purpose. That said, William and Kate have gotten quite good at feeding the media. Hello tells us. Princess Kate is a devoted wife as she supports Prince William's polo match. William took part in the annual Royal Charity Polo Cup, taking part in the fundraiser for the fifteenth time, while Kate watched from the sidelines. The match, held at Guard's Polo Club in Windsor Great Park, raises money for charities supported by the Prince and Princess of Wales, including Wales's Air Ambulance, the Royal College of Paramedics, Shout Tay Hafan, the Forward Trust, Evelina London's Children's Hospital, the Maternal Mental Health Alliance, we are farming mines, the Passage and the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity. The always Wonderful Kate arrived wearing a casual Gingham summer dress. The Express trying to stir things up a bit with the headline Princess Kate pictured at the polo with mystery man, but remain calm. The mystery man was Prince William's equery, Lieutenant Colonel Mike Reynolds. As a side note, unlike other equerries have called nicknames like Major Hotty, Lieutenant Colonel Reynolds's nickname is just Mike. Mike did make the Express list of six hot equerries in a twenty twenty four article.
6:02 Has been heart seems to be a prerequisite for such a job. More palacy just a moment. A report is raising questions about how information surrounding a private meeting between the Sussex's team and Buckingham Palace reached the Press. Mail on Sunday Editor at large Charlotte Griffith's claims that members of Harry and Meghan's communications team tipped her off in advance about a July twenty to twenty five meeting between Sussex representatives and King Charles Communications secretary Tobin Andre. The meeting, held at a London private member's club, drew attention because it appeared to signal the first tentative steps toward repairing relations between the Sussexes and the royal family. Photographs published by The Mail on Sunday showed Harry's spokesman Liam Maguire and communications chief Meredith Mainz meeting with Andre over drinks.
6:55 Griffith now says she was invited to lunch by a close adviser to Harry and Meghan before the meeting took place, and was given advance information that allowed the newspaper to position a photographer nearby. She wrote, as a result of information given to me at that lunch meeting, I placed a series of stories in The Mail on Sunday that portrayed the couple in a positive light. I was duly tipped off about the meeting, saying that allowed photographers to capture what she described as a cozied but very embarrassing scene. According to Griffith's the surprise came afterwards, when reports citing sources close to the Sussex insisted Harry's team had not leaked details of the meeting. Griffith argues that denial left many readers believing Buckingham Palace had been responsible instead. The allegations carry extra weight because Griffith's was one of the journalists at the center of Harry's recently concluded lawsuit against Associated Newspapers. King Charles and Queen Camilla spent Thursday morning at the London Zoo, where they celebrated the two hundredth anniversary of the Zoological Society of London with a hands on visit that included everything from examining penguins to feeding a giant tortois. One of the highlights of the visit came at the Humboldt Penguin Enclosure. Joined by zoo veterinarian Stephan Savramuto, the King and Queen used stethoscopes to listen to the heartbeat of a penguin named Lanister, who calmly perched on a rock during the examination. Battling another day of extreme summer heat, Charles looked at the penguin's pool and joked, I just wanted to join the penguins. The couple also took part in a laser training exercise used
8:27 by the zoo to monitor the bird's health. The laser pointers mimic the glimmer of fish scales, encouraging the penguins to swim and die, while allowing veterinarians to observe their movement for any potential health issues. The visit continued with a stop to meet Polly, a thirty one year old Galapagos tortoise, who received a special birthday cake made from watermelon and decorated with flowers and the number two hundred two marked the Zoological Society's anniversary. Queen Camilla fed Polly with metal tongs while the king offered food by hand. When the tortoise ignored Charles's contribution, he laughed and asked her keeper, is she on a diet?
